Kawhi Leonard suffered a lower-body (ankle) injury in game 1 of the 2017 NBA Western Conference Finals at the hands of Zaza Pachulia. In the following National Basketball Association season, 2017-2018, Kawhi missed most of the season with a lower-body (quad) injury. There is a big misconception surrounding Kawhi's injury in the conference finals and his injury in the following season. Kawhi played with the San Antonio Spurs at the time. He was later traded to the Toronto Raptors, who won a championship vs. the Golden State Warriors. Kawhi signed with the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2019 NBA offseason.
