And not just Rumple. It's really beautiful to see so many rivalries and former threats put to rest for good in this scene: Regina and Snow, Regina and Zelena, Regina and Emma, Rumple and Hook, Rumple and Zelena, Rumple and Henry (let's not forget that at one point Rumple actually considered killing Henry), Zelena and Emma...only in a show like OUaT could we ever imagine so many enemies coming together as one big happy family by the end.
Back in season two when David said “It’s a good thing we don’t have Thanksgiving in our land cause that dinner would suck.” Now look how far they’ve all come a beautiful growth. Emma finally got the family she wanted her whole life. ❤️

I have been obsessed with OUAT ever since it premiered back in 2011, and I never missed an episode of seasons 1-6. I've never watched Season 7, other than a few UA-cam clips. I don't need to. This scene is the perfect ending to the show.
Who else wishes it ended here. 😭😭😭 I love this scene, because it shows how far everyone's come. Rumpelstilkin, Regina, Snow White, Emma Swan, Henry, Prince Charming, it doesn't matter. No matter who they were in the past, they were all able to come together in the end and have dinner together as a family. That's what I love about this ending. It shows that they've all known each other for a long time, and now they can finally set aside their differences, and be happy together.
I do like this ending one of my favorites. But I like s:7 , sure it was different, but now you at least know what's Henry story. And honestly I find s:7 version of The Curse more relatable to real life. Still liked s:1 version of the curse too tho. But in s:7, I like how Rumple really developed as a hero and sacrificed himself to save the man who was once his enemy. But not only him, but saving everyone else as well. In the last episode of s:7, I like Regina's second chance, and her Hope speech & how she became "The Good Queen" and everyone from every realm, are all together in unison celebrating their "Good Queen". Regina has been my favorite character since s:1.
Yes I wish it just ended here, just finished season 7 and yeah s7 was great and all but cmon! Season 6x22 just felt so much of a series finale! Everyone is sitting at the table not as hero’s and villains but just as a family! Oh man!
it was the series finale. the 7th season was just an addition they knew not all the characters would return so they made s6 the final happy ending for everyone and 7 just like a bonus
Agreed, I'm sorry lovers of season 7 but let's be real, it was garbage. For 1, the captain swan baby. We don't need more babies, ok??! 2, the good queen?? The GOOD queen?!? Yeah, no.... 3rd, Henry and Violet. That sucked. That other dude ruined that.. 4th #Rumbelle??? That was.. the first time I ever cried over a TV show... 5th adult Henry was weird and ugh, he had a kid too?..... ALSO that brings me to my 6th and final reason. WHY DIDN'T THEY BRING BACK HADES AND ROBIN?!???? ik u guys probably think it's impossible but the writers can do whatever they want.. 'k that's it.
If they were going to continue the story after this ending in a new direction I think they should’ve followed the adventures of the character’s children when they are older: Gideon (rumpbelle), Neal (snowing), hope (captain swan), Alexandra (Cinderella), Robin (Zelena and Robin), and Phillip (Aurora and Phillip). There they could explore more fairytales and maybe have feuds and romances. It would be an original story with homage to the first 6 seasons. Though there were some parts of s7 I enjoyed it felt really original and inconsistent with the earlier seasons.
@@neilbagchi7093 yes I can’t believe I forgot about Roland! He was only like 5 years older than Robin so he would’ve fit in the cohort and it would’ve been cool to see him be an older brother to Robin and teach her about their father. also, henry should've been with violet!!!! I hated season 7's cinderella. maybe they would go through different adventures like how snow and David did. Just saying, henry should've brought violet thru that fire ring in episode 1. lol
That definitely would have been a good idea, or even if they followed Henry on his own, but rather than trying to recreate season 1 of the series, gave him his own spin off show with his own story and adventures. Old characters could have made cameos if needed but make it about Henry for real, not Emma Swan ver. 2.0

I agree season 7 was not needed the few clips I saw made it feel like fillers and the writers didn't know where to go in season 7. If they wanted to show the story arc for henry then they should have made a new show. This ending was perfect showing how they all changed for the better.
I finished season 6 yesterday and agree it should have ended on this note. Get rid of the last tid bit of Henry’s daughter coming in because it feels like they trying to reboot a series they just finished. I could barely stomach season 7 episode 1 as it falls off the tracks and this scene here just finalizes it all and after them all sitting down it should have said “and they lived happily ever after, the End.” Boom great ending to a great series.
THIS WAS THE PERFECT ENDING! THERE WAS NO NEED FOR SEASON 7. The only parts of that season that I liked were Regina's coronation and Emma and Hook with their baby. ABC just wanted to milk the show for all the money it was worth.

though it's years after the show is over. Some people loved it. Some didn't. That's fine. The creators did a great job bringing them to life. Some of their stories were parts of other side stories that were of a lesser level, but overall they showed us that these characters can be real. The Show provided an insight into the fairytale world we know and did something that I wonder many people ever saw or made the connection with. The last scene of season 6 did two things 1) ended the story of Emma Swan and her quest as the Savior and 2) the positions that people were sitting provided the impression of the Last Supper with Emma being JC. Though season 7 was cut short, the stuff they did could have given them another season to end it with a similar outcome. the last of the season tried to clean it up without messing with the story created, but some moments seemed a little messed up. They did their best to clear and clean up the story with something that later could have been used for future productions. The departing of town for the ending shots was a bit of an emotional moment for me. Leaving friends to take on that next adventure. this is how I felt about the show.

As much as I love Regina's coronation, this should have been the end. This was the happy ending they all deserved. Season 7 was completely unnecessary and forced.

(Btw, I guess with season 7 we haven’t gotten left with a crave or a wonder what would it be like after this ending. After season 7 we kinda got enough 😂 lol)
This was the perfect ending for the series. They really ruined it with season 7, basically just beating a dead horse with that whole season. Thats why I pretend that it doesnt exist and everything ended with season 6

I was actually thinking that the ending could have a much darker tone where Regina dies for some reason, devastating the family, especially Zelena and Henry. Unfortunately some of the townsfolks secretly still hate her, so they trash her grave. And Henry eventually realizes and quotes that there is no such thing as a happy ending. Life itself is full of downhills, and it's up to us to determine the consequences.
So.. ummm... just uh... heh... with all due respect..... WTH IS WRONG WITH YOU???!?!!!!??? the show would be NOTHING if Regina or zelena died. NOTHINNG!

I agree season 7 was not needed the few clips I saw made it feel like fillers and the writers didn't know where to go in season 7. If they wanted to show the story arc for henry then they should have made a new show. This ending was perfect showing how they all changed for the better.
so if you are interested, I have an alternative version between the beginning of episode 6x21 and the end of episode 6x22
There’s always a threat coming to Storybrooke, but it’s got the Savior and the Queen as well as their family to protect it.
exactly, it's a family of heroes indestructible and united
Think you Once upon a time
I finished season 6 yesterday and agree it should have ended on this note. Get rid of the last tid bit of Henry’s daughter coming in because it feels like they trying to reboot a series they just finished. I could barely stomach season 7 episode 1 as it falls off the tracks and this scene here just finalizes it all and after them all sitting down it should have said “and they lived happily ever after, the End.” Boom great ending to a great series.
so if you are interested, I have an alternative version between the beginning of episode 6x21 and the end of episode 6x22
THIS WAS THE PERFECT ENDING! THERE WAS NO NEED FOR SEASON 7. The only parts of that season that I liked were Regina's coronation and Emma and Hook with their baby. ABC just wanted to milk the show for all the money it was worth.

I like Gold's hair cut!
though it's years after the show is over.
I agree with everything you said, you are right

As much as I love Regina's coronation, this should have been the end. This was the happy ending they all deserved. Season 7 was completely unnecessary and forced.

0:43 I read somewhere that Emilie and Robert improvise the last thing that they were in together because they should’ve been around the baby cradle and instead they were dancing
The last supper.
Exactly! I'm surprised not many more have commented on it! 13 in all including the babies at the table, with The Saviour in the middle. I mean this is a good ending, and season seven was little annoying but I loved the ending they gave Regina with the good queen
It really summed up all all all we wanted.

I liked season 7. As a hardcore fan I had to watch it, no matter what.
Not to watch. It sucked and they didn't bring back hades and Robin like I'd hoped. I mean, sob. Zelena and Hades... so sad... oh yeah, also poor Robin too.

It was so unsettling getting this perfect seeming ending where we hear no one and it’s only feel good music, only for them to ruin it the the Lucy scene 😭 if they were going to do that they shouldn’t have had this montage go on lmao. However I do feel like rumples & Regina’s s7 ending was the perfect wrap to their stories.
Will there be a ouat series eight?
Sadly no - OUAT ended with season 7; which was weird. It was like a reboot of season 1 but different character story line and too many "alternative universe" stuff. It just didn't jive since a lot of the original cast members left after season 6. However - I did like the last few minutes of the end of season 7 when there were lots of original characters returning.
I wish
Suppose to be getting a new fairy tale show now tho by the same ppl.
As of now no but maybe they’ll change that one day
Oh the reference to the Last supper, ouch.

But, that's so depressing, damn
hol crap you did not see the light at all, becuase that's one dark ending you were thinking of
So.. ummm... just uh... heh... with all due respect..... WTH IS WRONG WITH YOU???!?!!!!??? the show would be NOTHING if Regina or zelena died. NOTHINNG!
