I'm done a handful of shoots, but I'll be taking my first shots at for my comp card this Wednesday. Definitely here just to get my head in the game so we can nail this! I appreciate your videos.
Hi Tatiana, I really enjoyed your video on comp cards, I was wondering where would one send their images to have their comp cards made up; I welcome your suggestions, thanks.
Usually composite cards are done by the agency and in each agency can be used different photos of the same model based on the local fashion market. If the model works freelance, then she / he can make the comp cards by herself or hire someone to do this, then just print them out.
@@TatianaKurnosova allow me to ask, on the video you made talking about the different markets you briefly mentioned Miami, what type of work is usually found in this area (aside from swimsuit modeling)
@@mayasl1339 Miami is a market focused on everything commercial. The types of jobs are the same as everywhere (lookbook, beauty, jewelry shoots, sportswear, magazines etc), but the style is "commercial", not high-fashion, less conceptual and more "understandable" by everyone.
@@TatianaKurnosova Thank you so much for the explanation and teaching so generously, your videos are very helpful to me. I look forward to getting your book ♥️
Hello, you need to bring both. But depending on the country sometimes it’s OK to only have your comp card with you ( for example in China ). Anyways, I’d recommend to have both comp card and portfolio in your bag just in case 😊👌🏻

These are some gorgeous comp cards. I love how you explained it all. I'm wanting to get my daughter into modeling do children need comp cards too?
Thank you so much Riana! Yes, children also need comp cards for modeling, same as adults. Think of it as a business card for your kid. If you will work freelance, just put there your contact information as well. I think I'm going to film one more video about making a comp card by yourself. Thank you so much for watching and Happy Holidays to you and your family ❤️
Since we live in the digital era it's obvious that some markets are OK with doing everything online :) For example, in Moscow and other Russian cities agencies rarely print comp cards as well. But Asian markets are using them a lot, US, Europe as well. I personally think that the comp card is a good business tool for a model to stand out, there are more chances that the clients / casting directors will remember her / his this way. Also it's a must for freelancers and it helps them to look more presentable in my opinion.
I would highly recommend you to include at least one strong headshot picture to your comp card. But if you don’t have any, just work with what you have at the beginning, then change / add new photos once you’ll have more. Good luck! 😊💜

The comp cards 🥰😍😍 j just love the designs. The black and white effect was breathtaking. Loved the jewellery details on the Asian woman xx
It's fascinating to have this back stage look at what models do. It's interesting to see behind all the glitz and the glamor. Thank you for sharing!

hi. what should i print these on? is there a specific paper used?
Hi Mia, there are no particular requirements for the paper. I would only suggest to choose the more thick one, so it would look more presentable :)
@@TatianaKurnosova thanks!
if in the casting there are so many judges, i just have to give one comp card or one to each judge?
Hello, one comp card is usually enough, but I recommend always having several copies with you just in case.

In Toronto, Canada Comp Cards are not used so much anymore. So many things done online
