It was 1978 and I was sitting with my friend in his built 1968 blue 327 Chevelle SS while stuck in traffic on a busy 2 lane road after a farm show. Another friend of mine had a 1969 Charger R/T that went flying by us as he tried to get ahead of the long line of exiting traffic. I'll never forget seeing his tail lights flying down the on coming lane until I saw him whip hard to get back into the right side lane. Then, I saw his headlights and then his tail lights and then his headlights and tail lights again and then he flew off the road down the bank and into a field. He was lucky. He landed pointing straight ahead and no one was injured, but his car was about thirty feet below the highway down the bank. I'll never forget that night. His girlfriend was horrified and shaking like a leaf as we helped her out of the car and up the bank. I wonder to this day how he got his car out of that field. We were lucky, stupid kids.
FINALLY YALL GOT MY FAVORITE CHARGER!!! My fav years 68 to 70. All time fav 💪🏼car!! Hope you get more in stock...sweet!
Yeah it's a pretty good looking one, years ago my uncle had a six pack of these cars.
A friend had a '74 Charger. It really lit up the neighborhood. This one's a beauty!
Few cars have their proportions as perfectly matched to every view of the car as the 1969 Charger. Handsome automobile. Not pretty, nothing feminine about it.
Radical looking
Beautiful Charger, a dream car for sure. Love your channel.
Y'all always have awesome cars,my pops had black 68 back in the day, love these cars, thanks for showing us this sweet 69 charger
This a nice ride, my dream car is still a 1969 mach 1.
I’m a Chevy Guy but this magnificent car I could make an exception 👍🏻👍🏻
My favorite muscle car of all time
Sounds amazing 😎
Exhaust pipes sound incredible 😍
The holes underneath the R/T decal is were the R/T emblems go, that car didn't come with a bumble bee stripe.
Man they did it again. Fantastic. Maybe you can raise your cars and trucks by $1,.000 per unit. Then you sell 15 units and you can bank it for me and I can pick out my car. My dad always says it does not hurt to ask.
Man O man that is a sweet 69 Charger and the interior lights work and the motor sounds great !!!! love it !!
It must have been an original stripe delete car because of the holes in the quarter panels. I prefer the stripe for sure. Very classic Mopar stuff!!!
Mopar no car, someone is lucky what a beauty
You could buy that for like $1500 from 1977-1982. Jealous of people who were hot rodding back then. 😭
I bought one identical to this one except it had A/C, Tic Tock Tach and factory power disc brakes but the same color and everything. It needed a new engine. That was in 1981. The guy wanted $75. I was only 13 so my dad was helping me negotiate the deal. He talked the guy down to $50 because he had lost the title. The car was beautiful and rust free, but it was only 12 years old at that time.
@@1967davethewave Was it an R/T 440?
I'm loving Mopar Monday! Amazing video's as always thank you Nick!!!
Nice to see a 440 Charger👍
Damn reminds me of my old mopars 69 super Bee 69 Coronet that's going to sell fast
@@dogsense3773 I was in Santa Clara when I had mine 69 super Bee 383 4 speed and 69 Coronet with a 440
You never put down the price
54,000
@@rickmoran8644 That's a great deal if it was a real R/T. Maple Motors really sells them cheap. They seem like a bunch of good guys.
Prive??
Price???
Didn't wanna crush dreams
Just love the look of this car perfect amazing looking car beautiful colour thanks thanks Nick
I knew this one wouldn't last a day
Absolutely beautiful Charger 🔥😎🔥
Very nice Charger!! 👍👍👍
Nick!!! Good to see you again!! This is a sweet ride! Here's your replacement for your Chevelle! 🚗💨~chirp!
I bet it sold fast, great looking cars.
Sup Nick? Even though the car sold already, you should put what the asking price was for us fans of your channel.
This is the one I love, I pretty much learned English to get closer to cars like these. Was my computer or the audio was weird?
The audio has been off the last couple videos. Nick comes in ok, but you can't really hear the cars.
@@shawnmiller9652 hope it gets better soon, can't wait to hear them again
Wow, fell in love with ther charger
I had the same car in 1973, but the auto shifter was in the center floor console.
God I love these cars..so many memories with some of them too..
A rare moment when you get my dream car, and don't even notify me?! I thought we had an understanding! Lol.
Gorgeous car, hopefully next time I can be faster than most. Keep up the great content
1969 Dodge Charger R/T...my dream car...
Best ride ever!!!!! Just perfect!!!!
where is your car dealer ? which state ? your prices is really fair and fantastic
Maplemotors.com
That car is super nice !!!!!
I bet this horn works 💪
There was a lot of oil on the transmission and bellhousing
Nice car what a shame it doesn't have bucket seats and console shift and a/c
What a sweet cherry charger you got there 😜 sounds like it's got some good get up and go too! I really wanted that horn to work also man.
That's my favorite year charger, I have a 2010 model that I will never sell.
Color is awesome 👌 👏
Music to my ears
Just now trying to catch up on ur videos I'm a month behind but man that sounded so sweet
That's one of my dream cars...except the color, not a red guy ;) sweet ride though!

How much did it sale for again?
Nice charger
Love this channel and the dealership, I'd like to see the band play one day , but I'm 55 so I doubt If I ever get the chance for that
Thank you
55 is the new 35 you've got a long life still yet.
Amazing car. What did it sell for????
I’m sure an ungodly amount 😔
Yes best muscle care ever made .we have 3 of them
Beautiful car
nice car but i want to see that chevelle blower sweet
One of the hottest Mopars ever.
I am looking for a similar one to restore but I have not found it yet
Hey Nick, your looking alittle tired in this video, time for some R&R buddy!!!!!!!
MOPAR BABY!🇺🇲
No mechanics here because nobody mentioned all the oil coating the bottom of the car, probably why the engine had no oil pressure.
Hey Nick we love your brother but please go easier on all the switches
Chryslers answer to the chevelle.John M Guinto
Does anyone know what it sold for? Excellent car
$55k
Hey Nick ! Sweet 69 charger ! the only flaw I see with the car is the shifter ! Should have been a floor shift with the 3 speed automatic torkfleight transmission!
Other wise very cool 😎
Original owner's preference, obviously.
Cool 😎
I bought my first car, 1969 Dodge Charger 383 Magnum 4 speed in 1975 for $1,200. I sold my 69 Charger in 1976 for $1,000. Biggest mistake of my life.
Just curious, why did you sell it so quickly? (Please tell me you didn't trade it in for a Mustang II lol)
@@jeffjackson9679 I had the Charger for about a year and a half. I sold it to buy a 67 Chevelle Malibu. I had the Chevelle for about 4 years and sold it around 1980 for $2,500. The Chevelle changed hands multiple times since then and is actually still here in town. A guy I know still owns it. Since then, I have owned a 1979 Trans Am, a white1982 Monte Carlo SS, a black 1987 Monte Carlo SS and most recently a Lemans Blue 73 Corvette which I just sold in July.
Awesome car - Vinyl top no thanks
What price did this car sale for???
I see oil leaking not good wet underneath
Not asking what you sold it for, just what the asking was.
Charger clean 🧼👍
If anybody knows can you please tell me why every car of that era has a massive gap between the radiator and the grill. Its just empty space why didnt they just make it shorter instead since there isnt even anything in there to begin with. Is it about something to do with crash?
It was just about the styling cues back then as well as the status quo. They wanted cars to be a certain overall length because that was the size and category they would market them at. And to compete with the other manufacturers they stuck to the play book. Remember, there were no compacts or subcompacts made in America back then and no one ever expected any from American car companies. The 69 Charger is so iconic but it was an aerodynamic disaster because they were far more interested in the looks over the function as all American cars from that era were. Have you ever seen the 69 Daytona or the 70 Superbird? It took all of those modifications to straighten out the issues with aerodynamics. And every muscle car was the same regardless of make. When you hear stories about guys driving these cars over 150mph take them with a grain of salt. Maybe the old cable driven speedometers read that fast but in reality they were so uncontrollable at speeds that high that it's pretty doubtful they actually took them that fast.
@@1967davethewave its not just us cars though. European cars even small ones also had the same thing. Ford Taunus P4,P5,P6, P7A/B. Opel Rekord B/C Ford cortina Mk1etc. Cortina was a pretty small car same thing for P4 and P6. Would be weird to waste all that space on a small size car just for looks but maybe that is indeed the reason on euro cars as well, i dont really know
What about the red Challenger.
Nice:)
What was the price at
pity it didn't have center console ...!!!
Several comments on it's not fair it sold so fast. So here's a gut check...To each that feel that way, if the buyer was stuck by lightning tonight and thereby never came through to complete the sale and it becomes available again tomorrow at the same price, would you put down a non refundable deposit? What would you do? Be honest with yourself knowing that these cars sell fast. Can you handle that kind of pressure? Comment below, what would you do?
Price??
How much did it sold for!?
55k
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate that’s actually a great price!
Had a buddy that had a 69 Charger SE 383 with a 4-speed...
The money
What was the selling price?
$55k
This video just came out and it already sold?!!
Fast
There was no fender tag only the vin will tell if it was a real RT car but nothing else .
What did it sell for??
$55k
How much was it
Nick, how much, was it?
Why, is the price, a secret?
Oh no.... Its an auto :(
Thats. Huge flaw right there... 😂
Let's go Brandon
How much did they ask for it?
$55k
Damn!! That's awesome!
Love this channel, but don't like you show a car I want and it shows sold fast! Why post what's not available!
I put hours into the videos prior to them selling. Not my fault they sell as soon as I post them. Thanks for watching
Already gone.
Got oil leakes that need to be fixed before you sell it
If you want perfect go buy a 2022 car with zero miles and a warranty. With the average price of a nice 69 Charger R/T going around $85k this car at only $55k is allowed to have a few blemishes.
Rub it in, why doncha. It's only my favorite. Enjoy it, you lucky you-know-what. 🤢
Sold ....... WTF
Yes they do go fast
