    UPDATE:1 year and still cranks within the first 2-3 pulls. Probably will buy another when this one finally does bite the dust ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX . No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.

    mopar penetrating fluid is hands down the best jet , amulshion tube clearer etc , put yer pieces in the cap of the can and spray some in until it covers them , let it sit for an hour and your mind will be blown . no wire cleaning needed

    Gordon, that Alex is one super addition to your work force there in the driveway - shop. Give him a few years and he'll be walking right into management and then he'll be looking for yet another new apprentice to learn "stuff" from him. That is how dynasties are made, one little step at a time. Well done, sir.
    In that brief cameo, you both won my subscription - and a thumbs up.
    Oh, that emulsion tube ought-a be checked for plug-ups, too.

    What is the best way to store an engine that I know won't be running for a long time? Drain the system, tank and bowls or use satbil additives???

    • @57bagre
      @57bagre  5 років тому +4

      Definitely drain the tank, fuel lines and carb. and cover the motor with 2 or 3 layers of something like tarps so the condensation won't get in and rust the tank, or store inside a closed storage area after draining. Use Stabil or Seafoam or the like for short term storage (less than 1 year) with a full tank and drain the carburetor.

      Chiming in 9 months late, if you are using pump gas before storing, run all the gas out then put in enough 4 STROKE TRU FUEL into tank to run for about 5 min, and your done, it will not varnish, I have a honda tiller that I haven't used in 4 years, fueled it up and started on 2nd pull.

    Hello, all. i use vinegar, to remove rust from tanks; carb bowls, etc. Leave in for up to a week, for a tank. Also, a small round wire brush, on a drill, to remove rust/crud from carb bowls, then the vinegar trick, for a day or 2. Thanks, Mr Robertson for your love of re-cycling, equipment and education for all, interested.

    13:20 Good. Perhaps, one should 'check' the sediment cup, under that fuel petcock. Also, remove tank fitting; check small round screen filter tube, in top of that fitting. BE ABSOLUTELY SURE, FUEL IS FLOWING FREELY, and that the tank fuel cap, is VENTING ! Start with the basic things. ''top to bottom '' analysis. (oldguy_)

    Typical carb found on most small engines now with the bowl drain. If it surges up and down in speed after you get it running then you will need to also clean the idle jet. It is located vertically on top of the carb partially blocked from removal by the high speed limit screw. It just pops straight up and out. It has an o-ring that seals it in place. On the end of the jet there is a tiny hole, you need to clean that so you can see light thru it. It's a tiny hole but once clean it runs like new. Never let fuel sit in your carb for months or you will have problems. Use that bowl drain and avoid these problems.

    • @ELEVOPR
      @ELEVOPR 5 років тому +1

      Would it be a good idea once you unscrew the bowl drain screw to leave the screw off for at least 15 minutes, this way the gas inside can evaporate completely?

    Good video,if the bowl has that much build up and rust inside ,it needs to be pulled off and either ultrasonic cleaned ,or carb cleaned .It does have a metal gas tank so all I can think about is rust that’s the second thing I would think about after checking the oil .I do know that when you sprayed the cleaner inside might not be such a good idea ,and messed the paint up on the customers equipment .It might run for a day or a week ,the customer will have the same problem again later on down the road.I never cleaned one that was still on the motor.I work on stuff that has been in the weather for years.

      I wouldn't damage the paint on a new machine. The old used machine in this video that my neighbor bought cheap was repainted with cheap spray cans by the previous owner and is why the paint peeled, the original paint would not have done that.

    Excellent video, man. I maintain and repair the smaller engines at work like this, and an currently fighting a 3" Wacker Trash Pump. I could've sworn it was the carburator leaking air from the carb-to-engine spacer due to the vibrations when running, but this video gave me a different perspective.

    • @57bagre
      @57bagre  4 роки тому +2

      If you think it might have a vacuum leak at the carb mount, you can spray a little (flammable) brake cleaner around that area while it's running to see if the r.p.m.s pick up.

    looked like it was partially blocked. Cleaned and now it runs OK and can supply full load now. From New Zealand (next to Antarctica)

    Quick tip it could be leaking because your O-ring that sits in between the bowl and the carburetor might not be seated properly on the bowl.Also when you put the bowl back on make sure the bottom of the float sits in the deepest end of the bowl.

    I notice you use brake cleaner to clean the carb. Why not carb cleaner? I read the specs of carb and brake cleaner, they are quite different.... carb ckean doesn't ruin the rubber of o-rings for example.... pls explain! I hate it that marketing decides to put another bottle sticker on essentially the same products. Result: i have a boat load of fertilizer for each type of plants..... I feel stupid.... what is it with brake and carb cleaner?
    Ps. Thanks for your straightforward video!

    • @57bagre
      @57bagre  2 роки тому

      I use brake cleaner for so many things because it dries so quick and doesn't leave residue, perfect for gasket mating surfaces, glue from stickers, fresh paint etc. It's also a lot cheaper.
      As for damaging plastic and rubber, it can and will in some cases and I'm not sure it is worse than carb cleaner, I have had carb cleaner damage o-rings many times. Best not to leave it on the plastic and rubber a long time.

      Yes I think that is the problem. Did you spray some carburetor cleaner in the carb and try to start it like I did in the beginning of the video? If it starts that way but won't stay running then it's probably the jets. I only did one jet here but there are a few more that also could be bad.

      float is like the float in a toilet, the float going up shuts off the gas and when the float goes down the gas comes out. If the bowl was clean and gas does not come out then the gas can't get through because of a blockage somewhere between the tank and the float needle. pull the fuel line off the tube on the carb' and see if gas comes out of the fuel line, if no fuel there then go to the fuel shut off and then the screen in the tank. Maybe carb' is clean, just gas not getting in the bowl.
