🔴i own the kxa 1600.1, my only concern is if my amp is clipping the clip light doesnt come on unless i press the control knob then i will see the clip light come on. shouldnt the clip light come on without me having to touch anything
This really didn't explain anything but for get a o scope to see when u clip
Set gain with speaker wires connected to amp or disconnected? Thank you!
Technically you can do it either way, as you are measuring the input signal to determine where clipping is, but you're best off waiting to connect the speaker inputs. Here is a video to show you: ua-cam.com/video/OBYOnXEN0pE/v-deo.html
Everytime I do it this way on my cxa400.1 with 2 comp c 10s it’s not loud enough
Over time, your ears do get used to the amount of bass you have (called "threshold alteration"). That said, there is a difference between "loud" and "deep". This is a function of a few major factors at play : power, wiring, tuning and box construction. If you call our Tech Support, you can go over all three: 405-624-8510 or support@kicker.com. We are open weekdays 8-5 cst.
Where should i have the remote bass knob set at when setting gain? And does the knob adjust gain or is it a separate bass booster??
The bass knob should be all the way down. It adjusts a specific frequency, (that exact frequency depends on the amp line). Gain is meant to ensure you don't clip the input signal. Many people mistake it for a second volume knob - never, ever make that mistake.
You say more voltage in is good, can I exceed the amps voltage IN by say 2-3 volts without trouble ? Amp says 5v in, can I set voltage on epicenter to 7.5 out ?
Hello Kicker, what is the difference between your 46CXA3604 vs the 46CXA3604T? What does the T at the end stand for?
Thailand. We moved the manufacturing of that amp. Apart from that, there is no difference.
@@KICKER-AUDIO thanks for the quick reply. You are always on top of social media and I appreciate it.
I have 2 10s L7 q class with cxa 1800 amp and the amp won’t get out of protection mode any ideas?

Need more gain 😅
All by ear, and I have a very good track record. Only use a DD1 if the customer requests.
@@firebirdude2 I moved on from car audio as a career… but not everyone relies on overpriced tools to create “quality” installs.
I have a zx400.1 from like 15 years ago. I need a bass control knob and cant find one anywhere. Any help would be nice.
You can ask Customer Service: support@kicker.com. That would be the only possibility as far as what we could do to help.
Time is money, and experience and expertise is worth charging for, when tuning this way I would say charge a customer a minimum of half hour labor… especially being that it can easily take longer to properly tune a car, especially with a DSP involved.
Is that using a 0db test tone or -5db or -10db or -15db?
