I think it woud have been more eloquent to compare the two eversolo with internal dac. I also upgraded my Master Edition to LPS, and after only 20h of burn in i hear better sibilance control, any trace o digital jitter seems to have disappeared, the liveliness is still there, the sound is very natural. Great job with your other reviews and very helpfull audio proofing!
Great setup and great videos, well done. I used linear power supplies and batteries in the past with my DACs and the improvement is significant. Especially with the battery power, you get even cleaner and bigger bass.

Sure thing thank you for considering Qualio, Well that all depends on your preferences, but all powerful class AB and D will work greatly. All depend on the budget, but if you are open minded what I recommend for all new Quality users is to check amps like Fosi Za3 / Ayima A07 and than borrow few amps and check if you like them more. Nearly all owners of the IQ that I visit ended up using those amps even though they had 100 times more expensive amps before ;)
I installed the LPS A6 yesterday I already liking the way it sounds quieter,calmer,calmer,instruments separation the midrange is a little warm and musical I guess its smoother 🎸
I have used the Eversolo A6 ME for a week now, what an improvement over my dell pc running win 11. Very dark background and vocals to die for, and very pinpoint of instrument placement. I could even hear the singers breathing. Remarkable improvement for low cost, I have retired my laptop for good. Thank you. Just a small request can you please make a video comparing the Eversolo AMP F-2 to your other class D amplifiers you have? Thank you. Is Power Supply upgrade needed for all digital output workflow? I suspect the Master Edition helps with less clock jitter into a HDMI pre amp processor.

Yes, correc, the cable is connecting the power supply to the rest of the unit. There is I'm original one that connects the original power supply, but when you buy the linear power supply there is the cable attched as well and it seems more legit ;)
Listening on UA-cam I tend to prefer the original. With the upgraded power supply the voice seemed very forward. A bit disjointed from the rest of the music. I even detected some glare in voices also. It does sound more airy and a little more transparent, however, the original just sounds calmer, more relaxing to my ears. Could be the microphones or UA-cam. May sound different in person. Just my take on the sound using headphones here.
Hi, thanks for your comment. I believe you did hear it right. After the upgrade the sound is more forward and also way wider and definitely more open and with a higher resolution and energy. So for more refined and relaxed option thetl standard A6 ME will be better ;)
Great revue, as usual. Question : Did you use a numeric output from ME to Dac or directly Analog output (RCA/XLR) to Amp ? I'm curious if the LPS is efficient without the internal ME's Dac ? It's sure, with analog output the improvement is significant but what about numeric output and external DAC....
thanks 🙏. I only used output to the Dac because I forgot tondo the internal one as well, but from my previous tests the sound change will be the same in regards to internal DAC ;)

Any chance you can compare your A6 ME with FIIO R9. the R9 has some extra features and is a more open platform, that can install any Android app, that gives more assurance of its longevity.

Thank you very much for your support and positive words. The Hi Fi Rose is amazing on its own, holographic, big bold and dynamic, with midrange moved forward. But IMO it's to much with the Weiss which has the same character. Weiss matches better with Auralic Ares G 2.2 which plays with more body. I also have a Metner MA3 DAC which when streamed using internal streamer sound very analog with stunning rich midrange and plenty of softness and relaxation but in a good way, but compared to the Weiss I miss the holography and the energy and In your face style of presentation. On Monday I'll try HiFi Rose RS130 with meitner and that night be great combo. Since I'd say the HiFi Rose does the same thing that the Weiss does. So yes plenty of things to check but unless you have a very dark sounding system that needs all the punch it can get, going for Weiss with Rose will be too fatiguing ;)

Hello. I clearly hear the difference. I have Dmp-A6 + Linn Majic + S400 Mk2. What is very interesting is that it improves whithout changing the colour of the music. Which is not the case when you improve op_amp s on an amplifier. So improvement if clear. But as the dmpA6 + lps-a6 reaches near the price of the DMP-A8...it would be right to compare this A6 improvement with the original A8. ❤ your videos.
Are you using outboard DAC or no? LHY sounds like a veil is lifted in treble to low-midrange, which is also richer with more dynamic contrasts. LHY price is actually very reasonable for the improvements, but how is the shipping costs/time to say USA?
I am using external Weiss 204 DAC ( forgot to mention it in the video) 🙀 I'll add the info to the description. I'm not affiliated with beatechnik and can't really tell about availability but you can buy it directly on their website so I'd check there. Probably there are some US dealers as well ;)
The addition of the LPS brings the a6 ME close to the price of the a8. Would you say the a6 combo is still better sounding than the 8 ? . I had the a8 on demo and returned it because although the features were great the sound quality was very similar to streaming straight from my demon AVR, so I’m still looking
@@owisun85 I had the a8 as a pre amp into my lyngdorf sda-2400 to do an a-b comparison with the denon and there was very little difference between the two. Since then I have tested some other devices in my system and found the same results which I found odd. So I had a demo session at my local Hifi shop and found it is my speakers that are not revealing what these components can do, so I may have done the eversolo an injustice.

Always wondered if all that protective circuitry is impacting sound quality and whether other amplifiers do the same type of protective measures, which would seem to be a good idea or maybe not if it impacts sound quality. It's complicated. They claim in the materials that all audio is powered by LPS and the system part is powered by SMPS one so it's kind of reasonable to assume the streamer part is ... Yes I'm not sure 😁

Though the DMP A6 ME has a leaner sound,the clarity supersedes the unit having the power unit!...I think,it would be best if the base unit(dmp a6 and not ME) was fixed with the power unit...there's clear distortion on the DMP A6 ME with the power unit!!..My opinion!!.

Have you had any experience or knowledge with Nobsound Douk Audio amplifiers? looking at el34 NS-03D at 550£ looks like a nice amplifier not too expensive either, I think it uses the rectifier tube 03d that's how I came across it, don't no yet I haven't looked at it too closely pretty little thing.@@VirtualHiFi
There is no advantage to a linear power supply vs. a switching power supply in any well designed electronic device. The noise argument or "improved sound" is BS. There is no way a LPS would improve the "depth" or soundstage. That is audiophool BS. The Eversolo DMP-A6 does not need or benefit from this LPS. In this case the LPS is pure snake oil and you should be ashamed of yourself for advertising it. The same is true for most audio devices unless they have a really bad design in the first place.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. I remember many years ago when I built a GainClone amplifier based on LM3785 chip. I remember I experimented with caps for the power supply and in the end I added only one few uF paper oil and Teflon caps to the electrolytic battery ones and when I switched form paper oil to the Teflon, the sound changed to the ones from completely other galaxies. And yes when I listen to the video with my headphones on I can clearly hear the difference so am I hearing something that doesn't exist ?
I do have 2 A6 ME, one with LPS and one standard at the weekend house. Thus I have blind tested and AB'ed both live and with friends. Weirdly everyone hears the sound change that gives more depth and scale with LPS. I'm curious if you have any similar experience to build your statement on ?
Many things in audio cannot be explained in theory. Theoratically, what you say makes sense, but wait a minute, it is a proven fact that a switching power supply produces more noise. However let's give you the benefit of doubt and somehow we humans only know what we know ,and science at this point in time can only prove so much. Everything makes a difference in audio even down to a grounding box, only thing is do you like the change it makes in your system and are your ears able to detect the change/changes. The proof is so apparent and already in the video comparison. Whether you like it or not is besides the point. You call out the content maker and call it snake oil and claim that he should be ashamed of himself? Seriously?!?! I can't believe you are trying to even debate this topic in 2024... You are obviously unable to hear any difference and since this channel is for audiophiles who are genuinely here to seek out exposure to products, sad to say that you really don't belong here. Many Soundbars are very well designed these days, i suggest you live with one of them well designed ones and call it a day, no need to come here and put people down when they are doing a service to the community. you must have the shittiest power in the world--- ive never heard any difference with this snake oil crap audiphools carry on with, absolute crap, ive had a lot of amps, streamers etc etc over the years and can turn them up to 100% volume with no input and there is NO sound, no hissing or power hum, theres is no power noise with inputs or without---nothing--- audiophools have psychological head noises---cleaner power filters---

I found listening to be much closer than the other comparisons of the streamers this seem to be an upgrade but more subtle.

I would have to compare them one oto one, but I'd risk my bet that if you don't need the DSP the ME + PSU is the way I'd go ;)

Do you ever look at MacIntosh amplifiers? I have one that uses a KT 88 tube, actually use eight for each mono

Have you had any experience or knowledge with Nobsound Douk Audio amplifiers? looking at el34 NS-03D at 550£ looks like a nice amplifier not too expensive either, I think it uses the rectifier tube 03d that's how I came across it, don't no yet I haven't looked at it too closely pretty little thing.@@VirtualHiFi
There is no advantage to a linear power supply vs. a switching power supply in any well designed electronic device. The noise argument or "improved sound" is BS. There is no way a LPS would improve the "depth" or soundstage. That is audiophool BS. The Eversolo DMP-A6 does not need or benefit from this LPS. In this case the LPS is pure snake oil and you should be ashamed of yourself for advertising it. The same is true for most audio devices unless they have a really bad design in the first place.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. I remember many years ago when I built a GainClone amplifier based on LM3785 chip. I remember I experimented with caps for the power supply and in the end I added only one few uF paper oil and Teflon caps to the electrolytic battery ones and when I switched form paper oil to the Teflon, the sound changed to the ones from completely other galaxies. And yes when I listen to the video with my headphones on I can clearly hear the difference so am I hearing something that doesn't exist ?

I do have 2 A6 ME, one with LPS and one standard at the weekend house. Thus I have blind tested and AB'ed both live and with friends. Weirdly everyone hears the sound change that gives more depth and scale with LPS. I'm curious if you have any similar experience to build your statement on ?
Many things in audio cannot be explained in theory. Theoratically, what you say makes sense, but wait a minute, it is a proven fact that a switching power supply produces more noise. However let's give you the benefit of doubt and somehow we humans only know what we know ,and science at this point in time can only prove so much.
Everything makes a difference in audio even down to a grounding box, only thing is do you like the change it makes in your system and are your ears able to detect the change/changes.

you must have the shittiest power in the world--- ive never heard any difference with this snake oil crap audiphools carry on with, absolute crap, ive had a lot of amps, streamers etc etc over the years and can turn them up to 100% volume with no input and there is NO sound, no hissing or power hum, theres is no power noise with inputs or without---nothing--- audiophools have psychological head noises---cleaner power filters---
