Wow Aamna I literally shed tears at how beautifully you described the mosques, the spirituality of Turkey, the respect and love for animals, the importance of travel, this was not just a travel vlog but a heart-warming, poetic, and charming account on how to appreciate life and our world. Thank you and God bless you
High five Aamna! You literally took words from my mouth. I always say this to people please travel it makes you tolerant and joke about this every Pakistani especially men should have a crash course of 6 months in a country out of their comfort zone where there is no relative help. Only then we can become more accepting and tolerant. Secondly, My resolution from last year, visit a new place at least once in a year. It also helped me to speed up the process of healing from the loss of my mom.
Aamna, I agree with you about travelling and making memories as a family. I’m your age.My father was working in Africa. Those were the days when the companies used to give your family tickets to go visit back home. Air travel was so amazing that we used to look forward to our flights, the hostess were friendly, we could access the cockpits, take autographs of the pilots. We once distributed chocolates with the hostess on Swissair. Can you imagine once we invited a swissair hostess to our home for dinner and she accepted . Those were the days. Now everyone is just bitchy on the flights. From Africa to Pakistan we always had a day or two layover in Europe. My fav was when we traveled by KLM and stayed in Amsterdam. It’s my favourite city to this day because of the memories. We explored all of Europe because of my father. May Allah grant him the highest level in Jannah for giving us an amazing childhood.
Aamna when I hear you speak it feels like I’m listening to myself for the most part . :) I used to feel just like you about travel and experiences. But off late I don’t know if it’s age or just the times that we are in , I don’t feel that passionate anymore. I was fortunate to get opportunities to travel and live in different countries growing up because of the nature of my father’s job. But those were different times. There was lot more sense of adventure and mystery. People were more welcoming and warm. But now everything is so overexposed and it’s all so commercial. Doesn’t feel all that special anymore. Just the process of immigration, airport security etc etc is too tiring and exhausting. To me these days just walking on trails, short trip to the beach and being in nature throughout the year is more valuable. Just wanted to share my thoughts. Sorry if I sound negative. At the end of the day to each Their own. Glad you enjoyed your time with your boys in a beautiful city.
I visited Iraq for the very first time last year & it was my first international trip at 25 years old. And omg it was such an amazing place. Iraqis are so so hospitable. And the architecture there is simply beautiful. InshAllah, planning to visit Iran this year with my mother InshAllah. Fingers crossed praying everything works out & it stays peaceful in the Middle East.
That’s what we do Aamnaji. I am in Europe but we go to new country every two year. So far we have seen almost 20 countries. It’s amazing to travel. I am very scared to go to Muslim countries so I have been avoiding it. But I would love to.
Such a lovely video Aamna…❤.. we did a family holiday in turkey over summer this year… Istanbul Cappodocia and Antalya… and the county has our heart! Each city had its own high points. Cappodocia with its hot air balloons and caves showed us the best of natures beauty and man’s creations. We know we will go back to Turkey for more for sure… Thank you for doing you! You have become an inspiration to so many like me without even trying. Keep shinning! Stay blessed lovely lady x
The frame for today’s video is spectacular Aamna ! The beautiful amalgamation of colors of the sofa, books, teal door, your kurta and ofcourse the painting looks wonderful. That painting is a stellar piece 😊
Love Turkey. We were told by our Turkish guide that even stray dogs are vaccinated in the city. It was inspirational to see people put water and food outside of homes and shops. City is crowded, historic and old but super clean. Turkish national Pride is evident in their food and language. Other thing I noticed that mojority of people are not only well dressed but modestly dressed. One of few nations that still respect Pakistanis.
Wonderful video! Please please start a book club on storygraph. Your videos are stress relivers during my study breaks! Thanks Please consider the book club...virtual one, storygraph has some nice options... Thanks!
Aamna you are so right. Traveling with parents really widens the horizon and at the same time unite them as traveling also bring odd experiences and sufferings... Urdu word SUFFER is part of traveling.
Thanks for this I love travelling too .Have been 3 times to Istanbul at various times in life first before marriage. I feel it is one of my favorite spots ever love the culture food and history , going before kids and after kids is a very different experience. Planning with young kids is much harder but it was also fun seeing through their eyes they loved all the cats and enjoyed themselves 😅 Love the mix of east and west and all the mosques are so beautiful. Im glad you went with your boys and enjoyed yourselves❤️
I stopped in Istanbul for one night on my flight from Pakistan to Canada. It is absolutely my most favourite city in the world after my home towns of Peshawar and Ottawa. I find my visits to Istanbul spiritually invigorating❤️
In India, Mr Ratan Tata being an animal lover, has given standing instructions that during Summers doors are to be kept open for stray dogs to come and sleep in the shade in THE TAJ Hotels corridors. Also provide them water and food too.😊 Aamna, that wasn't an EAGLE at your window of the hotel room in Istanbul but a WHITE HEAD SEA GULL.😂😂😂 Is Vegetarian food easily available in Turkey?
@@aamnaisani when I posted the comment he was hospitalised.....never knew he wouldn't be returning. A noble soul and a large hearted philanthropist..... He would surely be in a better place now.... RIP.
Amazing Aamna such a wonderful narration of your holiday and your memories of traveling with your parents and later with your children back in the 60s my mother was executive member of the women's club and the president was an Iranian lady she took the group to Iran and Turkey she visited all these places you went to they also went on the ferry I remember when she came back the first thing she shared was that the Turks love us and how beautiful both the countries were the vibe , cleanliness the mood of the people and now when I see you looking so calm beautiful andhappy the fact that you visited a wonderful country with a serene ambiance.I think travels are ordained I travelled around Pakistan with my parents but later in life I travelled with my children or colleagues .
Salaams Aanena, it was wonderful to hear about your travel to Turkey. Your description was amazing. Turkey is so close to my heart, I haven’t been there but it’s on my bucket list. I learnt more about Turkey after I started watching Turkish drama serials, their serials are amazing some actors are gorgeous and very dramatic story lines, showing family ties and moral values and so much more.
Hey Aamna! Love your content, you have taught me so many things through your experiences and advice and just way of thinking ❤ Being a cat lover myself, I love the fact that one of the reasons why Turkey is famous is also because of it's love for cats. Living in Bombay even though we're a third world nation, the love for cats on the streets is just so endearing.. somehow people here , be it in a rich neighborhood or poor, you'll find the cats well fed and taken care of. It's an unspoken rule that everyone jus lives by! Even the cats and dogs live in harmony which I haven't found anywhere else.
Thanks for sharing Amna! Am off to Turkey in 10 days and looking even more forward to it post your clip. Also, my sister and I enjoy your reviews a ton! You and Hassan are absolutely adorable and often I laugh out loud listening to your chit chat. Keep up the good work and may you thrive and shine always
thank you for sharing all the details of your trip! so inspirational! do you think you would ever go to a destination for a second trip because you know the way around and would be able to explore deeper once you've done all the touristy bits, like go to the food places and shopping where the locals go and explore neighborhoods which are gems but not touristy? i think a second trip is always a food idea but then i get fomo of choosing a new place or revisiting the same one. what's your take on it?
Aamna thank you for sharing your personal trip deets & all the other tips on travel. You know the way you speak makes me feel like a friend telling us about their trip
Loved the video Aamna. Istanbul is one of my favourite cities and we had an amazing girls trip last year . I wish you had seen Domabache palace instead of Bacillica Cistern though . I’m so glad you opted to stay in Beyoglu instead of Sultanahmet because it is much more lively..even we stayed in Shishane which is the same area just walking distance from Istiklalstreet and Galata. Oh and did you try the San Sebastián Cheesecake??
The closing few minutes were golden Aamna ❤ I took my parents to a few European cities this summer, our first time ever as a family out of India. It was magic!! They're both ardent cat lovers. So, my next destination with maa papa (as you might have guessed by now) inspired by your video, is Istanbul ❤❤
Uff Amna i just loved it.i planned my turkey trip with my friends in 2018 but it couldnt happen due to some reasons.. after that covid happened.. i got married , lived in dubai… this year it was my 1st trip with my husband and a toddle to turkey…and i can totally relate to your each and every word… i can listen to your turkey stories for hours. I wish we both could sit down and talk about it ❤️
Hi Amma it was so nicely described as I have been to Turkey twice once to Istanbul secondly to Antalya ohhh such a wonderful place and I would love to go again as it’s so welcoming country you feel apnaiyat you can eat halal every where as being living in Europe it’s not easy to choose where to eat and find of course halaal place. Thank you Amna for rewinding my memories 😢 it’s wonderful country highly recommended
Hearing your story of childhood travelling gave me a feel of nostalgia as we also travelled a lot. Be it local or abroad we have amazing family memories.❤
Just a little observation, galata port and the area around galata tower are two different areas. Galata port is a mall with a very beautiful side by the bosphorus, however the area that you mentioned around the galata tower with small local arts and crafts shops is called 'karakoy'. And yes the names are extremely difficult 😅 even after 9 years lving here I still struggle
Thank you for such a fun, beautiful and educational vlog! Definitely a place I'd like to go visit someday. Thank you for all the tips, will surely keep in mind. And loved listening about your experience with cats there, and the respect, love and space they get there! I'm a cat mom too❤❤
I have watched your video same with me my husband never traveled with me and my two boys just like your boys age I have done all as a single mom, but we never forced each other to be a part of traveling plan that was his choice so it’s called understanding I al says support u girl I see myself in you haha keep it up I really appreciate those they make life easier and better!!!!👍🙏❤️
I share your views about travel, we made our priority to give our children gift of world travel. It was mostly the reason why our younger daughter decided to serve PeaceCorp for two years in Mali. We visited Turkey several years ago, through your show I felt like retracing my footsteps. I loved Turkey!! Among all the Muslim countries, Turkey & Morocco were my favorite. I wanted to ask you, did you visit palaces of Ottoman Empire? If you did, how did you feel about chambers of palace concubines who were selected by the queen to serve her son. I knew about their system through books but seeing in person, especially in front of my teenager kids, made me feel ashamed.
I Can relate to Amna because I have been to a these places in Turkey & felt the same way so spritiual, so beautiful there is magic in the air in instanbul. You just love the food & shopping there.
I traveled on Turkish Airlines 12 -13 years ago . At that time they used to give Turkish delight on start of flight and Hazelnuts after 2-3 hrs . Food was so good and many choices . Sadly now the seats are tight , no nuts / delight and food choices are limited .
Its always better to take direct flights..that's more convenient and feasible..I always do that..plus Istanbul is one of my favorite places❤from the historical places, to the food, to the shopping to the most good looking people😍uff..totally to drool over😅
I really enjoyed the trip at Turkey. 7 days in Turkey ,I visited so many places like hagia Sophia, blue mosque ,galata tower, sulimanye mosque ,princess island, bosphorus night cruise trip.
Dear Amna, your parents wouldn't have had limited resources if you traveled internationally as a child. You MashAllah are blessed that for family could do it and now MashAllah you are doing it with your kids! Its beautiful how you emphasized about your beautiful memories so much so that you traveled alone with your kids as toddlers. Loved your review ❤

Where are the names of streets for shopping other than grand and spice bazar. And names of good restaurants?
I want to know how they treat dogs & other people in turkey? Do other animals get equally treated as well?

I think they are a lot of issues of with refugees from Syria and many Turks are getting very nationalistic.
Lover your travel vlog 🥰If you visit Bodrum you can see lots of super healthy dogs like cats in Istanbul 💕
When I was in Turkey before Covid, there was no ticket for entry for tourists, for Blue Mosque … only non muslims were not allowed entry during prayer timings.
I went to Turkey last September
