I have been creating corbels and other architectural elements and have had some interesting results from playing with solid tools. Would love to see more tips and tricks on solid tools...so Thank You for this!
Well done Justin!!! Just the tip of the iceberg of what and how solid tools could/should be used, such an underrated/under utilized functionality in modeling! Thanks for highlighting it.
Very nice clear explanation as always. Something to note- you can also use the trim command in solid tools which is like subtract but it leaves the cutting tool intact in case you need it again. Also, depending on your geometry it might be worth temporarily scaling the two groups up by a factor of 10 or 100 to avoid the ‘tiny face issue’ that might cause the resulting geometry to lose solidity.
I was wondering about the tools for floor creation , a few out there but they very clunky compared to some other dedicated software out there. If somebody came up with something that nailed that part of the initial design faze. So many great tools to build walls etc that seem highly complex to develope. Any thoughts on that?
Hi everyone! Let me know how you're using solid tools in the comments below! :)

Awesome 🎉
Can't wait for the next video ❤
The union trick is a great tip Justin!
One of my favourite tools....love it
very useful, thanks justin!
Very much Thank you justin !
I need to start using it
Thank you very much !
I have been using this for years. Instead of the union tool I just grouped and exploded geometry instead the group which is basically the same thing.
Nice! ❤

Floor Generator extension is pretty good tbh
👍👍👍
Yes but not on shapes as complex as what you've shown.
