Where I start a new row, I have lots of holes in the piece. Do you have any tips for making it smoother and have less holes in that area?

instead of slip stitching into the chain three and then starting your next chain three for the corner, slip stitch all the way over to the corner and then start your chain three. Does that make sense?

Which granny square did you later used when joining??

For this project, I used two granny squares: solid granny square and heart granny square then I joined the granny squares using invisible seam

Hi there. Sorry for the late reply. I used scrap yarn for my 18 granny squares, so I'm not exactly sure, but I'd estimate around 6 balls of yarn total-3 for each color. I doubled the small yarn to make it thicker. Thanks for watching, and happy crocheting 😊🧶
