Thorpe Park New Coaster - Loggers Leap Blitz Coaster Concept

- Here's my rough concept for what I'd like, not what I think, the next coaster at Thorpe Park Resort to be. I've used satellite images to try and replicate the logger's leap site as accurately as possible but it's by no means perfect so bear that in mind.
'Iron Horse' is my concept for an Intamin Blitz Coaster on the site of Loggers Leap. It features three LSM launches, the fastest being 67mph. There's also a double drop in the final part of the coaster, roughly where the final drop on Loggers Leap is today. This was meant as a little homage to the ride that stood in the same spot for decades beforehand.
Some stats for ya:
Height- 151ft
Speed- 67mph
Length- 4900ft
Launches- 3
As I said before, this isn't what I actually think will be coming to the park. I'm not sure what will actually be built next, but this is what I'd like it to be. After riding Taron at PHL, I have a new love for this type of coaster so I'd be stoked if one popped up close to home.
Custom scenery was made by myself in Sketchup Professional. Video was edited in Adobe Premiere Pro. Coaster made in Nolimits 2 Professional.

This looks incredible however I can’t see it coming anytime soon. Given Merlin like to buy 2 coasters from a company I think TP will be getting a GCI woodie, like Wicker Man but more intense, possibly an inversion.
Hey Jack thanks for the nice comment, I appreciate it! Yeah tbh this video is just a fun concept/idea, less of a prediction! I think it could either be a GCI as you mentioned, or maybe something more gimmicky/sell-able like an RMC! Hoping for the latter but it's wishful thinking!
you know you may not be wrong, merlin have bought one b&m for chessington...with the recent news coming out of a new coaster at thorpe it could be one from b&m aswell...fingers crossed

I'd be happy if this was the coaster for 2021/2022! Unfortunately I think it'll be a GCI (still great) but this, as a concept is fantastic because it gives Old Town a Steampunk feel to it and the whole coaster is fantastic
I love this concept. I really do. When I think of a replacement of Loggers Leap, my no. 1 idea has always been a hybrid coaster or wooden coaster because of how well it would fit in with the surrounding area. But seeing this really changes my perspective of the potential the area has to offer. I think a multi launch like this would be absolutely amazing if it were built - especially if Thorpe maintained their forest well. Thorpe really need to up their game after their poor investments in recent years. A coaster like this could really help in transforming the park from mediocre to world class. Great job, well done!

2:13 there most likely wouldn't be a top hat, it would make stealth irrelevant, also their next coaster probably wont be a launched coaster as that would again make stealth useless but great concept

I think to concept is really good but I doubt they would add a nother launch to Thorpe maybe the same sort of theme but maybe a wooden coaster as it would match the old town area. But I love the theme and everything and overall it’s a great coaster 👍

unrealistic as Thorpe already have a launched intimin with a top hat plus I see alton towers getting one in place of rita instead of Thorpe but great layout and concept it just wouldn't work at thorpe

Maybe replace the top hat with a sidewinder to make it less similar to stealth.

I don't see Thorpe investing in such a huge project and another launch coaster though. Thorpe Park isn't known for its long layouts!
My guess would be a short and intense woodie. OR they could play the prototype card and order one of those extreme suspended coasters Vekoma are installing at Tripsdrill

A bold statement considering positive and negative g-forces are well in check on every seat on the coaster. Care to tell me which ones?
too boring. no real inversions.. slow... when you have the likes of Smiler out there, you cant build crap like this. Its no giga coaster either so no point building this type.
edit - if it were a real coaster at Thorpe Park i mean. This creation is really good

...cause its got no inversion, looks NOTHING like The Smiler.... and happens to be MUCH BETTER
@@LeoElso yes I have been on Taron, and many other coasters around the world. Smiler is one of, if not the best around. but thats just my 2 pence worth

... So? 😂 Busch Gardens Tampa has two triple launch coasters! Liseberg had Helix and Kanonen for a few years. Cedar Point has Top Thrill Dragster as well as Maverick. Phantasialand will also have two launch coasters next year. Thanks for the feedback though!

True, but hydraulic and electromagnetic multi-launch coasters provide quite different experiences. Plus multi launches are one of the most popular models of coaster these days, and it's something the UK really lacks.
