My favorite part of Gael’s story is how he became the very thing that Gwyn feared the most. His sacrifice to prolong the Age of Fire was for nothing, because at the very end of it all, only a mere slave knight remained.
The best part about Gael is that he’s the perfect catalyst to end the souls trilogy. It all started with nothing and ended with two nobody’s in the middle of no where fighting over nothing. Absolute masterpiece

They won’t be making a 4th dark souls the whole point was the story ended to prove that Gwynn’s idea of the age of fire was over and it is truly an age of humans which he had been trying to push back against so much
