Balmukund pandey I don’t have a link sorry. Do you have an MSDN subscription? Talk to whoever looks after your licenses/software/agreement with MSFT. they should have download instructions.
Hi! I just have 2 questions regarding MS SQL Developer Edition. I downloaded SQL Server Dev. edition and Visual Studio Comunity edition for learning purposes. I am creating a windows app using C# and would like to connect it to a database of SQL server developer edition as backend. Is that allowed as long as I don't use it for commercial purposes? My other question is If I create a database in SQL Server Developer edition is it allowed for the database to be exported (extracted) and imported in SQL Server Express edition for commercial use? Thank you in advance! Cheers!
Hi Vladimir Sorry this has taken me a while to reply too. I hope this answers yous questions: "I am creating a windows app using C# and would like to connect it to a database of SQL server developer edition as backend. Is that allowed as long as I don't use it for commercial purposes? " You can't use Developer Edition for Production purposes. You can use developer edition to build the software but when its running in a production environment you are not allowed to use it. "My other question is If I create a database in SQL Server Developer edition is it allowed for the database to be exported (extracted) and imported in SQL Server Express edition for commercial use? " You can move database between different editions of SQL Server including Express - you just need to make sure that the database doesn't use any features that are available in Developer/Enterprise edition. I hope that makes sense
SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2 go out of support today. Come and register for my free webinar being held on 31st July at midday UK time to discuss the options you have for upgrading www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sql-server-2008-r2-d2-the-sequel-tickets-64797326548
I downloaded the express edition thinking that I necessarily had to pay for the developer edition. I'm downloading the 2016 version now. Thanks!
You are welcome
Thank you, very informative.
Thanks Dominik
Awesome answered my question. I'm going with downloading dev edition. :)
Glad it was useful.
