Super Bowl is the standard. Baker is the guy . I feel we saw that in Cleveland. Eagles did not loose to us . We beat them . O line is better . Fire them cannons! Let’s go Bucs !!!
Me TOO! I lived in Erie, PA, and I was a Browns fan for 30 yrs. LOVED Baker when he was in Cleveland. We go to Tampa the year after Baker leaves the Browns. Soe when he came to Tampa, my wife and I went to the water walk and partied all day!! GO BUCKS!!!
Same, I watched every snap of Browns FB his tenure there. Never was a Browns fan but just rooted for them because of Baker. Now im a Bucs fan because of TB12 and now Baker. After what they did to Baker, I wish the Browns entire staff and team nothing but the worst in life. Gross people
i dont dislike canales, but he was also infuriating as a OC at times, the O-line wasnt a very good run blocking O-line last season, yet the bucs had most run attempts and were like 28th in rush yards, so it seemed he was too stubborn at times imo. but iy seems like they patched some of those things the o-line was lacking with the addition of barton and bucky. and i really like the new OC's approach according to himself, not looking at plays as much and instead focusing on what the players are capable of.
Trust the process. He brought them to the playoffs, give him his roses. But sometimes you have to continue to hammer the rock to keep the passing honest
Hey thanks for the breakdown and love man. As a lifelong Bucs fan, I am not too terribly concerned about Dave Canales leaving. He actually drove me mad with some of his play calling last year. Daves strength was his overall enthusiasm and optimism he brought to the team, which hopefully that rubbed off on some of the guys. Liam Coen, our new OC, has called plays for Baker before at the rams. He also comes from the Mcvay tree and is a much more experienced play caller than Canales was. I think Dave will be a great head coach in the NFL. Coen seems more like an all around better OC and play caller. Much of the terminology is also the same too, so I think Baker & the team will get the playbook down relatively easy. Can it be September yet? Lol
I was as big of a Baker hater as anyone when he came in. He changed my mind. Much bigger arm then I thought. Much better pocket presence then I thought. Love how he is willing to take a hit to move the sticks. I def agree that the simplified version of the WC that Canalas ran helped him, but I expect Liam Cohens system to be very similar. Maybe even add an upgraded O-line & running game to the arsenal, and Baker is in position to have success. If our 2nd & 3rd year player grow, we hit on our draft class, and none of our starting vets take a noticable fall, I believe we are in position to take division and contend in the NFC this year! Go Bucs!
I forsee more 2 RB sets this year. With Bucky and Rachaad both on the field at the same time, it will be hard to ever know when it's going to be a run play to either or a pass play.
Kudos to you for being open minded enough to go from Baker Hater to appreciating him! There are still some Haters out there who are so blinded by their hate that they still can't see it. (After this season, they will ALL be crickets. Or see the truth as your have.)
Good on you for turning around. Im curious why you had such hate for Baker before this season? Besides his rookie antics and trash talk to media, the past 3-4 years he has just had his head down and trying to make the best of garbage situation to garbage situation. I really dont get the hate.
Coen will add some pre snap motion as well. He spoke about it at the rookie mini camp press conference. Bucs were second to last on pre snap motion last season. It opens up running lanes and helps free up receivers. Coen shed some light on that and will work to change that.
@@mjsheets5936 Sounds good. I also heard that Baker will have a couple of options at the line-of-scrimmage. If he looks at the D and sees something, he can adjust the call. I think this is a REALLY big deal! (Baker is EXTREMELY smart!)
As a Bucs fan for 24 years, the NEW standard is winning the division. I'd like to see the team as a whole take a step forward though, and make the NFC divisional game become the standard. I know a lot of fans are saying Super Bowl, but pump the brakes. That's not pressure you want to put on your boys. As far as Canales contributing heavily towards Bakers success, i'd say its more like 50/50. Bakers an intelligent guy, Dave is an intelligent guy, I think the combo of two good minds is what made things work for them. How many teams get a new QB with a new OC that's never OCed and then make the playoffs? It was the perfect storm. That being said, Dave isn't the QB. At the end of the say I'd say that Bakers success was more about himself and less about Dave, but it definitely helped him. Looking forward to seeing a similar offense but upgraded, in terms of strategy and fluidity. Gonna be a fun year to be a Bucs fan. GO BUCS@!@!
This is the best take on what the "standard" is for the current Bucs. I'd like us to start winning the division comfortably with regular 10 or more win seasons. Like yeah we won the division 3 straight years but it doesnt feel like we're really in control yet. All in all though it is a greart time to be a Bucc!
@@Black_Corey fr I feel like the only reason we won the division wasn't because we were good the other teams sucked. We got in with a 9-8 record and we started falling off towards the end of the season. I'm still not sold on baker. They took him because he's the best compared to what's out there. If we don't get a secondary (which we seem to always struggle having) it will be bad this year for us.
I was a Bradyphile and followed him to Tampa, not physically of course. I turned sour on the Bully-chick regime the last 3-4 yrs of the Brady-era there. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of professionalism in TB from the first day of their Brady run. The rest of the league had ignored them for various "reasons": small market, lack of talent, absence of playoff pedigree, etc. If not for injuries in 21, and the mismatch of the Bowles/Leftwich & Gesselle shannanigans I fully believe the Bucs would have at least been in the Superbowl each of Tom's yrs in TB. I'm now a Licht fan and think Bowles will have more success with Mayfield, a guy I didn't expect to like as I thought he was cocky in his Cle yrs. Licht & Bowles are the appropriate amt of humble with a wellspring of talent. Each has their own personal talents with matching personnel talents to put a quality product on the field. Canales was poached to assure TB didn't become a perennial powerhouse by a division rival that knew that was a potential outcome. Canales is already a fabulous offensive mind with natural leadership & motivational skills. Mayfield fed off that and showed his worth. As it was Mayfield's 1st yr with the system he would have likely improved with additional seasons. So, enter Coen: similar scheme, high QB support skills & the drive to be the next offensive mastermind, so long as he avoids the I'm gonna do it my way attitude some coaches adopt. I expect a 2nd yr of dwarfed offensive playbook as the install gets underway. Coen will likely expand to plays for his playmakers as he gets a greater understanding of their capabilities & limitations. Presuming he doesn't get poached @ the end of the season the Bucs should be vying for the division crown for the next few years at least. Draft guys (sorry this is getting so long): Barton - near RAS perfection, as versatile as a lineman comes, BPA @ a position of need. Braswell - mostly untapped Olb with at minimum a high floor. His ceiling is yet unknown but could be a steal. Thought Tykee Smith was taken a bit early but undoubtedly a Bowles-type DB with Winfield Jr traits. I'm guessing he'll start @ NB with saftey zone drop role when TB dials up a safety or corner blitz. McMillan is coming in much like Godwin did 7-8 yrs ago. Will likely be his replacement if he hits as expected. Bucky is a potential steal as he's been extraordinarily productive after first contact on a rare scale. If he lives up to that billing he will get close to an even split of carries next yr & likely start in two. Klein could be a steal but won't likely start this yr. He's a guy that should eventually be a quality starter in 3-4 yrs. Finally, Culp is a tall slot/TE move chess piece who will see limited but schemed touches (sub 10% snap distribution barring injury to players ahead of him on the depth chart, even with slot versatility). He will likely supplant Keift on the 53-man if he's not snapped up of the practice squad and Culp may see more time as the season progresses, assuming his progression is where TB wants it.
I think most of us Bucs fans feel similar about Canales. By like week 10 most were really frustrated with his offense and thought maybe this wasn't a good hire. Towards the end of the season the team turned it around and had a decent run, excluding week 18 when the Bucs offense scored SIX points against Carolina. Things looked fine in the playoffs though. A lot of us fans are excited to have Liam Cohen and think it very well could be an upgrade. Wish Canales luck(and by luck I mean maybe finish 2nd place in the division😂). He has a great upbeat personality. It didn't surprise me that he charmed someone into hiring him.
Love Baker, since OU and Cleveland. I saw how much Canales truly empowered him, and worked the offense to make him shine. I’m so praying the new OC can keep that going! ❤
Big Bake will be around, that's why we signed him with a 3yr extension... Even if we don't make the playoffs this year or next... He's going to be even better under our new OC (L. Coen) than he was under Canales... This will be Bake's best season, with a revamped o-line, and tons of weapons on offense and defense... Go BUCS🚩🏴☠️🚩
We loved the draft. Point of clarification; we drafted a center on day one. We’ve been hurting at center since Jensen was injured and eventually retired. Barton will finally allow us to rebuild the oline. The standard is win the division and get to the superbowl! Baker signed a three year contract, so he’s not going anywhere soon. Losing Canales was not fun, but we found Liam Cohen who worked with Baker in the Rams. The Bucs will be just fine. We will win the division again and fight through the playoffs. Baker is here to stay and the Bucs are ready to shake & bake!
A lot of things have to come together for a Super Bowl. Obviously that is always the goal. There are 31 other teams out there that also get a vote and are vying for that same prize. The standard is a team that goes deep in the playoffs and doesn’t beat itself. Beyond that, you need the ball to bounce your way.
The New Standard Is To At Least Make The Wild Card Round, & It Drives Me Absolutely NUTS When The Bucs Are Overlooked, So I’m Glad You Showed Tampa Bay Some Love!
I was mad that we picked up Baker but since then I am so happy we have him because he is a leader. I never questioned his heart and can't wait for the season to start. LFG Bucs !!!!
Baker is still growing, and he is a Buccaneer to stay. Things are getting better than even when Tom Brady was around. I think Tom brought a sense of optimism to the Bucs. Thank you Tom! We have bolstered the center and offensive line.
Any person who watched every game of Bucs last season should have 0 worries about Canales leaving, inconsistence and poor decision making early and 0 run game - which he inherited but also didn’t improve upon
My man asked some incredible questions on here. Imma try to remember them in order, or at all lol The goal is always the Superbowl. Even when you're projected to go 2-15, as a fan you gotta have hope. Just gotta keep some things to yourself lol. Baker is safe unless he is the sole reason for multiple losses. At least for this contract. Getting extended? He's gonna have to win some playoff games and at least be a contender for a Superbowl a season or 2. Dave leaving hurts. It means we have to have a third consecutive season of a brand new OC and offensive system. It's hard for any QB to succeed in that situation. But Baker is smart and resilient so I'm excited to see what he does with it
Great video! You hit a lot of great points! I'm kinda nervous with the new OC and QB coaches, and I'm praying for an improved running game! This was better content than anything I've ingested from Bucs pages!
I loved our draft from top to bottom. Baker is our QB for now and the future. He’s the leader we needed after Brady left, and he was the only guy that could fill his spot. I’m so excited for this year to come and I can’t wait. Plus the signing/resigning of Whitehead into our secondary was huge. Coen as OC will be so much better than Canales
Romo never went to a super bowl…he just needs to keep being the best version of himself and never losing us the game. We need to have a run game and a defense that play as well as he did last year to complement him and if all cylinders are firing I have no doubts in his ability to bring us multiple championships.
We have a 2 year window to make it happen. If there's no progression in 2 years they maybe look to rebuilding. The front office does an amazing job of creating outs in contracts so they're not eating a bunch of salary with players that aren't productive. A lot of ppl predicted us to win 2-4 games last year and we won 9, Canales might be gone but they bring in another OC that has a repore with Mayfield and with the weapons I expect them to continue to contend for the division and potentially make a run in the postseason.
We'll always be underrated... We're used to it, and we use it to our advantage... Even if we win the Superbowl this season, in 2025 they'll say we won't even make the playoffs lol... Every year it's a "prove them wrong mentality..." O'well, TBB4L⚔️💀⚔️ P1RATEGVNG4L🚩🏴☠️🚩
As a lifelong Bucs fan from Tampa I remember the years of being the worst in the league. Glennon, Jameis, McCown, Josh Johnson, Freeman. Those years were long and hard to watch. I just want to be in the dance and win the division and I’m happy. At least it will be exciting to watch
@@TheThrownOutSofa Just like Trask those guys would or get thrown in a fire if the Bucs actually developed QB’s instead of bought them those guys would have had a better career.
@@TheThrownOutSofa I agree with the rest but those two I can’t just say were complete trash I’ll put Chris Simms and Fitzpatrick on that list before those two and Tim Rattay was pretty decent for a fill in 06 at one point.
@@mahdithabarber1354 youre high. Fitzpatrick had a better completion percentage, td-int ratio, qb rating and a longer career than Glennon and freeman. 2013 freeman and Glennon both on the team they had V. Jack, Doug Martin. Donald Penn, Davin Joesph, demar Dotson. Freeman and Glennon both had one good year then fell off a cliff.
Actually the more I learned about Dave Canales the more I liked him,he had a great first season as a OC and hated to see him go,but can't blame the man for wanting to step up in the ranks,it kinda of does concern me but we'll see what Liam Cohen does with his opportunity ,hopefully he and the players are on the same page and we can go farther next year and hopefully to the big dance,I like what they addressed in the draft,we'll have to see how they pan out.
Main goal is Super Bowl. But winning the division, keep our team trending in the right direction is key, we have the players to make a deep run in the playoffs
Because of his ever-changing systems, and just bad circumstances, Mayfield is the most under-rated QB of all time. Last season, this team was justifiably expected to win 3 or 4 games. Baker lead them to 3 times that many. In 2024 I'm guessing we'll be expected to win 7-10 games. I can't WAIT to see what Baker does with a team expected to be average or above. This is going to be SO MUCH FUN!!!
I told my wife after Gerald McCoy left Tampa Bay years before. That moment paved the way for Tom Brady to join a Team that was primed for a veteran quarterback to make a run.
I just dont get it. Carolina Panthers - I think everyone believes they will be last in the NFL. Falcons, they got a new QB and QB controversy. New "Youngry" coach. Honestly, it's Morris. He's been our HC before, we know how he operates. Might do well out of the gate but then falls apart. Saints... They don't have Brees or Payton. Since both of them have left the Saints, we finally got their number. I don't see it changing. Not saying Saints / Falcons won't be better or improved, I just don't see them winning the south. Another thing to note, it's not like he hasn't worked with our OC before, he was with him with the Rams, they already have chemistry, terminology down. Don't forget what Baker did with the Rams when he went in for them that first night only being there for like a week if that. Rams were depleted from injuries at the time too.
The o-line will improve this year. Since Jensen was injured the run game wasn’t there. we lost a lot of possessions over the last two years because of that. Having a more balanced game and Chris Godwin going back to the slant … can’t wait to watch :)
Last year we were projected to win 5 games. I had 8. This year I see 11 games we can come through with the w. I don't see a sb, not yet, but there are opportunities
I'm not convinced Canales was the reason Baker excelled last season. In fact, I would argue Canales actually held the offense back with his vanilla run plays and lack of motion of the receivers and backs. Even Liam Coen, the Bucs new O-coordinator, made reference to it during a press conference at the rookie mini camp. He seemed surprised at how little the Bucs used motion last year to free up receivers and to open up the running lanes. I believe he said the Bucs used motion the second least out of any team in the NFL last season. If you look at the teams that used motion the most, they were all the top teams in the NFL...then there was the Bucs as the outlier. I actually think this offense is going to be even better under Coen, especially in the run game.
Playoffs are the standard for us. He wins us more games than he loses single-handedly. Bro nobody talks about how we smoked the eagles in the playoffs last year so thank you for the video and the love!
I am always frustrated with the shade thrown at the Bucs by the national media except during the TB12 era. That being said, I’m cautiously optimistic this season. As far as Canales, I wasn’t incredibly impressed. The offense did well enough but always seemed to not operate smoothly. Could have been personnel but it just didn’t seem that we did any one thing very well, which is the hallmark of a good offensive scheme. Also, glad we re-signed some good players but the free agents we signed are questionable. The draft seemed solid to me. The issue in my mind is did we IMPROVE enough to continue progressing beyond another 500ish season which may not be enough to win the division this year? I’m hoping we did.
Dont know what the record will be but ive got them at 10-11 wins . Not many in the league know who Yaya Diaby is but they will by seasons end . That team lost one all pro and two pro bowlers along the O-line in one season . Before that they had the best O-line in the NFL and won a super bowl . Tom Brady was smart and knew this . A lot of that team is still there and their GM has made some very savy draft pics and free agents acquisitions the last two seasons . Mayfield threw for over 4000 yards with 28 tds with the worst running game in the NFL. Licht has addressed the problem in free agency and drafting the best interior lineman to come out since Quinton Nelson . IMHO yes that team is being overlooked .
I don't think Bucs fans should have much worries losing Dave Canales. I think Canales was a good OC and has the potential to be a great HC in CAR, but if I'm allowed to be truthfully honest I think they will be much better with Liam Coen as the playcaller. They say history is the best indicator of the future and history says a alot about Coen and his experience as a playcaller. Some people will say he didn't really call plays during his time with the Rams but the fact that he worked under McVay for 2 seasons surely helped him during his 2 tenures at Kentucky. They went from scoring 20ppg to 32 (1st season as OC) and 28 (2nd stint as OC) while he was playcalling. Under Canales the Bucs did show improvement in regards to scoring but they were still the bottom of the league in running the ball and production on the ground. Coen will be sure to improve that and the signs of the players they drafted all learn towards it. I think Bowles will have an even better defense and the offense will go from 20ppg to 24-27ppg with Coen.
Im just happy we have a decent quarterback. Im happy he is here. I called it that hed get the heisman in week 6 of the season he did. Everyone laughed at me. Ive said hes good if he focuses on the games and not on commercials. Hes officially done everything Ive said he would, hes literally like a repeat of Drew Brees career. Its happening in real time. And god forbid we didnt have him, because unlike most "Bucs Fans" I been here since the start. Throughout the many many years and hardships. I can safely say, we are terrible at drafting quarterbacks. No explanation of that required. Its a fact. Id take baker, with a broken hip, over Jameis Winston, Chris Simms, or Josh Freeman, any day of the week. We dont just draft bad qb's we hold onto them for 4, 5, even 6 years at a time. Lets face it, Jameis came in and threw 5 picks, then 6, then 5... Should have been axed then, not held onto for 4 seasons afterwards. Baker is at home here, and I hope nobody messes that up for us.
No concern about Canales leaving. Liam Coen is who baker wanted and who they got. Baker specifically talked about Coen getting him ready to play so fast in his post game interview following the miracle finish vs the raiders that Thursday night game and Coen is bringing the system in that Baker likes best.
Everybody thinks Canales is the only reason Baker did good last year. He did help Baker but Baker really did good because 1) he was finally healthy and 2) Tampa knew how to use him. Bowels is the guy that sees Bakers talent and he is still there, so...
The picks filled the needs of the team, in the correct order, without reaching. The standard is improving each year until the SB. I think if Bowles misses the playoffs, he might lose his job. As for Baker, as long as he’s not the reason we lose, he’ll keep his job.
Will the offense has been inconsistent for a while now even when Brady was there with zero running game. But I do think losing the offensive coordinator does hurt I would have like to see him build with Baker Mayfield this season to see what he really had but I hate that he went to Carolina
I am not worried at all. I believe that from what I am hearing the players say this offense is going to be QB friendly and will allow Baker more freedom to read and recognize and make the right calls. The hate for this team is amazing to me.
We have some of the best talent evaluators and a great GM that find needs and value. Draft was great. In Jason Licht we trust The South is ours to lose
The standard is winning the division. With the roster we have that should be bare minimum. I know the people inside the buildings truly believe we can win a Super Bowl. We will see about that but I think with the weapons and O line that Baker will have it’s all on him
been a bucs fan since i lost the the houston oliers in 1996 and this is the best draft ever , so look out! the best ever draft in my opinon! ever!!!!!!
Baker has good film besides him time with Canales. When healthy he’s been at least a decent QB. If Canales had a run game that actually worked I’d be worried. The standard for QB in Tampa is “don’t be bad.” As long as we’re competitive for the divisional title every year then a good-above average QB should be safe.
Draft picks need to prove it. We'll see if they have an impact. Real concerned about the LB corps. At some point Lavonte is going to start looking old. Unsure when that'll be exactly, amazing long career for him, hope it continues. Is KJ Britt good enough to become the leader?
The standard is to get to the Super Bowl baker loses his job if by the end of his contract we don’t get past where we were last year I think. If we can get to the conference championship then I think they will sign him again we as an organization has always had sub par qb play. Baker playing well gives him the nod to get resigned
The standard is the superbowl. I'm not terribly concerned with the offensive coordinator switch. We are always doubted and overlooked. I'm not saying we win the SB this year but we take the division. Next year maybe?
Canales was Geno's QB coach he never called a play until last yr with Tampa. Canales wasn't Bakers QB coach, he was the OC. Only correlation is proximity. Also Canales was pretty average for most of the yr. Couldn't get a run game going and Godwin's production took a major dip.
i dont think dave caneles was make or break for baker< it was his first time as a oc he made mistakes as much as he did some good things but they also struggled at times last year. our new oc did good things with baker and with a better o line i think theyll be good enough to win games with our defense playing like they did last year
Yeah, I worry whether the offense will be able to maintain their success or even improve since they don't have Dave Canales. Even though Canales wasn't perfect. Gut feeling says no. Though I think they should be able to.. It's amazing that they were as successful as they were, being so heavily reliant on Baker, and giving Baker no help because they had the worst run game in the league.
Draft grade: A And I’d be more concerned about Canales leaving if it wasn’t Liam Coen replacing him. Coen was OC when Baker won that game for the Rams in ‘22.
Bucs will be better this year. We had horrible play calling from a rookie OC last season. Canales was bad as an OC and I’m glad he is gone. I expect Coen to be a lot better than Canales. The O line will get better during the season and hopefully the running game will improve. The only concern is the edge rush.
I love jalen McMillan. He was a dog and got hurt and Polk did pretty good in his place. But all because of that, he fell in the draft. He was more productive than odunze till he got hurt. Also yes baker is and has been my favorite QB. And I think Liam Cohen is the right guy to replace canales. He is a perfect fit for this team and their attitude of "be you Baker"
Tampa is always overlook hell even with Tom people over looked Tampa. Baker looked like Oklahoma Baker and think now that we upped up the line I think it’ll help long term especially with the run game
The standard to me is Superbowl or bust!!! You showed you can make all the throws. You showed you win games. You generously deserved a 100 million 💰💰💰 contract. Now it's time to go win it all. No excuses!!!! #Mr TRUST the PROCESS!!!!
I just wanna see the Bucs win games and make the playoffs. Missing out on a NFC championship run is not a season breaker because we have been there and done that, we also have seen our team blow up and start over again for a decade and I don't want to risk going back to that
standard is superbowl but I dont think we can put a super bowl or bust on baker with the roster..... its good but we have pieces that we can improve upon corner is one of them....we also need to improve in the run game right now
He would not lose his job if he didn’t it past the second round because that’s like saying Patrick mahomes in his rookie year he wasn’t expected to go undefeated or win a Super Bowl he had to take time to adjust and this year might be the year he will adjust and win a superbowl who knows ?!!??
You would never guess the Bucs are the only NFC team to win they're division 3 years straight the way the media talks. It seems almost all of them are picking the Falcons this year.
The way they always overlook us is insane to me. I loved what we did in the draft. Thank you for showing us love!

@@Black_Corey Real recognizes real haha go Bucs
I got sooooo mad watching him call runs every single first down
Building the Bakerneers and win the Bowl ❣️🏴☠️❣️
Win the division. Give yourself the opportunity to win it all
The New Standard Is To At Least Make The Wild Card Round, & It Drives Me Absolutely NUTS When The Bucs Are Overlooked, So I’m Glad You Showed Tampa Bay Some Love!
I like the Bucs being the underdogs! Go Bucs!!!❤
My man asked some incredible questions on here. Imma try to remember them in order, or at all lol
The goal is always the Superbowl.
Offseason for my Bucs is a solid A. Kept our best guys and signed/ drafted some great long term pieces.
LFG BAKE
Romo never went to a superbowl????????
@@venomius why do you seem confused…
The standard is Baker Mayfield has a really big heart for the game. He never gives up. A true leader. I can't wait for the next season and more. 😎
Every year it's a "prove them wrong mentality..."
O'well, TBB4L⚔️💀⚔️

Baker was a great acquisition. The line improvement will help greatly and Baker will be even better.
Love Baker! Give him half a team and decent leadership he is a winner every time. BOOMER
We are better than they think! I hope everyone overlooks us.
Great draft! Predict 11-6 record. Keeping Baker upright will make him a Super Star!! Bucs are sooooo underrated it's unbelievable. Go Bucs!!
Mike Glennon wasn’t to bad or Freeman.
@@mahdithabarber1354 in what world? Glennon was definitely bad and Freeman had one good year then got addicted to snakes and strip clubs.
I love the brasswell pick and tykee smith, both will upgrade their position and contribute massively day 1
Main goal is Super Bowl.
Baker fits in here perfectly . Him and the bucs are always underrated, he has top 5 arm in the league.
They defiantly making the playoffs and winning the divsion I won’t be suprise.
The standard is winning the division. The goal is always SUPERBOWL
Re: Dave Canales, Todd Bowles recently said, in effect, that Baker made Canales look good as often as vice versa.
Playoffs are the standard for us. He wins us more games than he loses single-handedly. Bro nobody talks about how we smoked the eagles in the playoffs last year so thank you for the video and the love!
Baker may have finally grown up. I think he has found a home. He is very talented and I think his move to Tampa may have been what he needed.
Lets go Bucs!!!
Finally! Someone who respects the Buccaneers, we gonna be serious NFC contenders this year! Go Bucs! 🏴☠️🔥
No concern about Canales leaving. Liam Coen is who baker wanted and who they got. Baker specifically talked about Coen getting him ready to play so fast in his post game interview following the miracle finish vs the raiders that Thursday night game and Coen is bringing the system in that Baker likes best.
What is amazing is what they did with no running game. You can mark this statement, with an average run game Baker will be a MVP candidate.
Ya national media says “underdog” I say “underrated”
Everybody thinks Canales is the only reason Baker did good last year. He did help Baker but Baker really did good because 1) he was finally healthy and 2) Tampa knew how to use him. Bowels is the guy that sees Bakers talent and he is still there, so...
The picks filled the needs of the team, in the correct order, without reaching. The standard is improving each year until the SB. I think if Bowles misses the playoffs, he might lose his job. As for Baker, as long as he’s not the reason we lose, he’ll keep his job.
I love baker mayfield and i want to keep him no matter what
Will the offense has been inconsistent for a while now even when Brady was there with zero running game. But I do think losing the offensive coordinator does hurt I would have like to see him build with Baker Mayfield this season to see what he really had but I hate that he went to Carolina
I'm good with our draft. Our UDFA DeLoach will be a shocker. ALWAYS A BUCS LIFE 🔥💯
I am not worried at all. I believe that from what I am hearing the players say this offense is going to be QB friendly and will allow Baker more freedom to read and recognize and make the right calls. The hate for this team is amazing to me.
We have some of the best talent evaluators and a great GM that find needs and value.
Draft was great. In Jason Licht we trust
The South is ours to lose
The standard is winning the division. With the roster we have that should be bare minimum. I know the people inside the buildings truly believe we can win a Super Bowl. We will see about that but I think with the weapons and O line that Baker will have it’s all on him
been a bucs fan since i lost the the houston oliers in 1996 and this is the best draft ever , so look out! the best ever draft in my opinon! ever!!!!!!
The standard is to be perennial playoff contenders every year!!!!! In Jason Licht we trust. 💪🏾 #BucsNation
I see success winning the division and having a competitive play off run.
Draft picks need to prove it. We'll see if they have an impact. Real concerned about the LB corps. At some point Lavonte is going to start looking old. Unsure when that'll be exactly, amazing long career for him, hope it continues. Is KJ Britt good enough to become the leader?
After seeing the draft picks BUCs fans feel like we did last year: Dangerous! Go BUCS!
They're the Jose Bautista of NFL franchises, starting as one of the worst teams in NFL history to two-time super bowl champions is one crazy existence
Standard is...good decision making, tough play for 60 minutes. That being said, should be Super Bowl contenders...
Please don't remind us of Lameis Winston... I'll start having ptsd 😩 Glad he's long gone in Cleveland, and far away from us. 😭
Canales was Geno's QB coach he never called a play until last yr with Tampa. Canales wasn't Bakers QB coach, he was the OC. Only correlation is proximity. Also Canales was pretty average for most of the yr. Couldn't get a run game going and Godwin's production took a major dip.
i dont think dave caneles was make or break for baker< it was his first time as a oc he made mistakes as much as he did some good things but they also struggled at times last year. our new oc did good things with baker and with a better o line i think theyll be good enough to win games with our defense playing like they did last year
Baker was born to play for Tampa Bay
Anyone else get a 2002 kind of vibe this year?
Yeah, I worry whether the offense will be able to maintain their success or even improve since they don't have Dave Canales. Even though Canales wasn't perfect.
Gut feeling says no. Though I think they should be able to.. It's amazing that they were as successful as they were, being so heavily reliant on Baker, and giving Baker no help because they had the worst run game in the league.
Baker bayfield it's your time let's go buc
Draft grade: A
And I’d be more concerned about Canales leaving if it wasn’t Liam Coen replacing him.
Coen was OC when Baker won that game for the Rams in ‘22.
We're going to win the Division for the 4th time in a row. Baker is the real deal.
Bucs will be better this year. We had horrible play calling from a rookie OC last season. Canales was bad as an OC and I’m glad he is gone. I expect Coen to be a lot better than Canales. The O line will get better during the season and hopefully the running game will improve. The only concern is the edge rush.
Tampa! Bay!
Missing out on a NFC championship run is not a season breaker because we have been there and done that, we also have seen our team blow up and start over again for a decade and I don't want to risk going back to that
I was worried about Canales for all of like 5mins... lol he was good not great and I felt we could get better. I think Liam Coen is better.
standard is superbowl but I dont think we can put a super bowl or bust on baker with the roster..... its good but we have pieces that we can improve upon corner is one of them....we also need to improve in the run game right now
He would not lose his job if he didn’t it past the second round because that’s like saying Patrick mahomes in his rookie year he wasn’t expected to go undefeated or win a Super Bowl he had to take time to adjust and this year might be the year he will adjust and win a superbowl who knows ?!!??
You would never guess the Bucs are the only NFC team to win they're division 3 years straight the way the media talks. It seems almost all of them are picking the Falcons this year.
I liked the video but you should look into our offensive line a bit more, Ryan Jensen unfortunately retired.
Why do you think the Bucs drafted Graham Barton
A+ draft
