A great series - any chance of building Tanzu on top of NSX? I have been struggling with this in my lab and you are providing the kind of details most others are missing
Thank you for the question @jimdancer9075. My only time working with Tanzu, was using the NAPP automation appliance, which basically deployed Tanzu for me, for use with NAPP. Leading up to that, I attempted (maybe 3 or 4 times) to place the Tanzu on top of virtualized networking, and never could get the NAPP automation appliance wizard to finish correctly to completion. Ended up deploying the Tanzu on physical network components (VLANs, etc) instead of on virtualized overlay segments. (that was 1 week of my life, I will never get back :)

Already hit the wall… so I can’t see my physical host when trying to add it to the distributed switch

Did you set up the host to be managed by the vCenter first before trying to add the host to the vDS?
