this is the best EDC video I have ever seen. I have viewed over 300 EDC video you are obviously a good family man. Making sure you family is protected WOW
@MarineX I watched this video months ago and you saved my butt with just one item.. I bought the tire repair kit you recommended shortly after watching. . Tonight it's snowing like crazy and I'm out plowing a remote rural lot for our local FD.. Tire goes flat as a pancake. Plugged it with the kit and aired up in 20 deg weather with snow dumping down on me. Back on the road!! Thank you for the amazing content!
I'm so glad this channel was recommended to me! I've got just about everything you have, but I also have a silcock key. Just in case I'm in a Town or city, I can grab whatever waters left that way. My get home bag has seasonal clothes to change, & extra socks & tennis shoes. I don't have any battery powered tools, as they expensive Craftsman & DeWalt and my SUV will be broken into! When I owned my Avalanche, I carried a lot more, but this new SUV isn't tiny, but isn't big! I do have the bivy bags with a shelter system, etc. I also keep rotating food & candy just to keep me going. At 65, I'm hoping I'm NOT on the road when SHTF, but you never know. I do keep an G2C & 3 loaded mags... Being an old women alone, I feel more comfortable..
Your carrying at least 2 shovel/entrenching tools, for digging out or putting dirt under tyres? If yout going to that trouble? Why not a set of folding sand channel or a few rolls of traction mats. The mats work great, and dont taje up half the room of sand channels
I have a similar setup in my Jeep. I do offroad recoveries here in Las Vegas. One thing I would say to everyone is DO NOT try to recover or snatch someone with a tow strap. Even if it says 20,000lbs on the label, they are not designed for that type of force and will break. They are strictly for towing a vehicle that has the ability to roll with minimum effort. People have been killed from the metal end going through the windshield. Always use a Kinetic Rope, winch with synthetic rope or at least a 4 inch recovery strap which is a lot bigger and made to be pulled that way.
My vehicle is hardly a full-on rock crawler, but is among the best survival vehicles in the world. A Suzuki Jimny, it is a tiny 2 door 4X4 with high/low ratio gearbox which has literally saved our lives twice in the last 30 years, and, being non electronic, hopefully would also survive an EMP, and is easy to work on. So, gear: Under driver seat:- Fire Extinguisher 2 waterproof Ulephone burner phones which also work as walkie talkies (in Faraday bags). First aid kit (not full-on, but does have Israeli bandage) 2 Ponchos 2 sets of good goggles 2 P3 Masks Gloves and bandanas Tyre compressor (self powered, with gauge) Small umbrella (for my wife). Under passenger seat:- CB/Ham radio Jump start pack (have used it twice and it works!) Road Flares Yachting flares Hi-Viz Jacket (Mine actually has 'Security' printed on it, just in case...) Door pockets (These are miniscule on the Jimny!):- Maps Torch Knife Compass Spare glasses encrypted USB drive with necessary stuff Contractor bags Emergency blankets Bic Lighters Kniper mini adjustable wrench Screwdriver set Glovebox:- Small 'wrecking'” tool (crowbar/axe/hammer etc) 2 power banks Collapsible hats (from Australia) Torches VSSL survival kit (cool, but not all that practical?) Multitool Every sort of USB type cable 2 iPods… one with our entire music/talking book library, the other with our film library (hundreds of films… but neither are in Faraday bags) Monocular Sun visor:- More spare glasses/sun/night glasses Seat belt cutter/glass breaker Trunk (which again is tiny on the Jimny, but this all goes in there!):- Off-road gear… Tow straps, snatch straps, ground anchor, come-along, Warn winch, various attachment straps and bits, collapsible spade, hydraulic jack, Bug Off winch, tyre chains for front wheels (I don't have space for all 4 wheels!). 2 collapsible camping stools with bags underneath One has full tool kit, big waterproof solar charger/inverter, The other has change of clothing, emergency tent, collapsible bucket, dog's bug out bag (food, bowls etc), camp cooker, emergency food (not much, but could probably survive 3 days?) Get Home bag for two, which is pretty comprehensive! Better First Aid Kit 1 gallon gas (Jimny does 40mpg, so that is more than enough since I never run down to below half?) What I want to add? Satellite communication/GPS (but at least I have a Ham radio) Night vision stuff Water… for some reason, I only add water when I go somewhere… should have it permanently there? Love your channel, and particularly want to see your 'dog' Bug out bag… mine is a bit basic, just bowls and food…
I'm New too today from the 50th parallel. Your just missing a few items for the truck that a man with all those tools wouldn't forget. Mechanic's wire, extra handy for a exhaust pipe and wiring together a bumper after a fender bender. Timing/Air conditioner belts since most break around 60,000 miles. 1 pcv sensor and fuses which usually fail after heavy rain or snow fall
MARINE X is absolutely THE MOST PREPARED person that I have ever seen doing a video! Definitely not going to get into a situation that he can't get out of!! 😁 💯 👏👏👏👏👏
Great vid. I definitely have some things to add to my truck kit. One simple thing I carry that I didn't catch, is a safety vest. When you are stopped on the side of the road... maybe rendering assistance, having that safety vest, is one more layer of protection from on coming vehicles. Semper Fi.
My husband bought me the Leatherman cutters and they are legit, my favorite multi-tool I’ve ever owned! Sooooo many uses!!! Just found your channel and subscribed immediately! Thanks for this! 🙏🏼
Thanks for the Video. Good information. I made a few notes to improve my own vehicle bug out kit. My vehicle is not as large as yours, but I still have quite a bit of stuff in it. I do have to up my tool box game though... I only have a basic apartment-type tool kit in my Outback and some jumper cables. I do keep a 50-gal tub bungeed into the back with emerg. supplies, and I have an extensive trauma/medical kit in a 20L duffel. I'm only red-cross and US Army Combat lifesaver trained, but I have the trauma gear that a firefighter or RN might need to provide life-saving aid. I also carry two small 24 Hr. SHTF kits (for passengers) and a 72 Hr., two person SHTF kit in a 40L rucksack. I have a fixed blade knife and a folding 4.5 in knife with a seat belt cutter and glass breaker within reach of my driver's seat, also.
Hello! Thank you so much for posting the content you do! I am a novice prepper... but always have been prepared. I am a single grandmother and have found that some of the gadgets you put in your gear are Amazing! I didn't know they existed before now. Special interest is the tire plug, the jumpstart kit*** and the tools. I just found you so I haven't seen all of your videos yet... but in case you haven't thought about it, it would be wonderful if you could put together a video of what basic malfunctions can happen with a vehicle for women with some quick fix ideas and gadgets we can use ourselves. Loving this!!!
Not a bad idea. I'm glad you're apart of the Battalion. Click the link in the description and consider joining my discord server. There I take video ideas and chat throughout the day
I enjoyed your video. Great ideas. Especially the tool storage. I have the same truck and love the lift. One thing I added to mine in the console is a lockbox from console vault that bolts to the truck with extended bolts. I use it for more valuable items, spare cash or edc items I can not take in places.
I just subscribed and I usually don't but this channel has good, no BS content and doesn't fear monger like a lot of channels do. Plus a lot of the stuff I have seen thus far is practical. I can't watch people like Canadian Prepper as he fear monger a lot and decent amount of items he posts aren't practical and a waste of space when it comes to BOB'S.
Great ideas. Thanks for sharing. Those Silky Saws are the best. Way better than the Laplander saw. I carry the Silky Big Boy as well. I'd suggest some real climbing carabiners. 60lb is nothing in an emergency. Another note, many vehicles with smaller lug nut sizes might not have the alloy rim clearance for thicker wall impact sockets. And maybe replace your garage jack with a solid bottle jack, in particular the SafeJack with additional extensions.
Thanks for charing the video's. A drive a small car so a have not a lot of space to put all that stuf. In my country 🇧🇪 its forbidden to have a knife like the Ka-bar in the car. For my IFAK a use a Tasmanian Tiger bag that is fixed on the headsite of the passenger. (Sorry for my Englisch)
About halfway through the video I realized we basically have a very similar setup, similar gear, a few differences in preference, but overall pretty similar. Good planning and preparedness good sir! A couple of suggestions (apologies if I missed them in the video) would be duct tape everywhere, zip ties everywhere and a shackle hitch for vehicle recovery.
Learned lots. I really especially appreciated hearing about the everyday preparedness items. Saw lots of products I’ll be looking into. I’m doing the same thing going from tool bags to tool boxes. I’ll be using your favorite item caribenners to secure them so they don’t become projectiles in case of an accident. I always have to remind myself to keep certain items right at hand. I just moved to a rural mountainous area where roads get icy at night and deer have no problem jumping out in front of your car. Your level 1,2,3 totally resonates with me . My level one is what I would I need to reach from my seat if my car ends up in a ditch and I’m pinned in the seat. Very interesting fact about the energy required to blow a whistle versus yelling. I will be purchasing that whistle also. Can’t tell you how many I have bought that are not good. BTW first time viewer and new subscriber. I’ll be checking out your other videos and looking forward to your new ones. Thanks for taking the time to help so many of us out.
Once I bought a Wavien metal (Jerry) can I’ve never even looked at a plastic gas can again. I carry one inside my Jeep Wrangler and there is absolutely ZERO gas fumes. Now I have five!
I love the setup. My question is that I have to park in a bad side of town for work. And ideas to help prevent a break in? People break into cars at the parking lot of my work even in daylight.
I've watched a few of your videos so far and I'm excited to see more. Thanks for all the help you are giving to us who want to start prepping and learning
Great set up. I love the organization of this and the boxes that connect. Got some ideas. Thank you for sharing. Do you have a get home bag kit? I would like to see what you keep in it, or recommend.
Looking forward to dog Bug Out Bag... half the stuff in my vehicle is for him! Your vehicle kit looks pretty much exactly like mine... add a 'Come along" or hand-held Warn winch and ground anchor (only had to use it once, but there it was!), hi-viz jacket, road flares (and a distress flare), sacks to put over winch wires, Ham radio, CB (rarely used, but there if necessary), tent... and all this in a 15 year old Suzuki Jimny which got myself, my wife and my dog through the worst winter storm ever... 4 hours of terror! Also under the front seat, I have a pair of industrial weatherproof phones which double as CB walkie talkies, made by Ulefone, in waterproof Faraday bags... it is beginning to sound like I am paranoic?
Hey I just came across your Channel I have watched a few of your videos and really like them I'm looking for a storage container to put in the back of my truck I don't have a lot of money to spend on one but what do you recommend my truck has a cover on it
Like a lot of others just found you today off this video. You’ve got a good setup that gives me some ideas. Though I don’t have near the room in my Tacoma! Earned the sub from me
Love the video, only question I have is, it seems like the knives and axe under the seats are just kind of sitting there. Have you found any kind of under seat storage system that keeps them anchored in place?
You should be careful with those lithium batteries sitting in the heat of your car. They can explode or catch fire if it's hot enough. Otherwise great video. Some of the things I would probably just keep a full sized version of like the blankets and towels. Portable ones are nice though.
Maybe late on this but I use Harbor Freight Jumper cables. The 4 gauge are inexpensive and work well. I've used them to jump-start a CAT D6 dozer before.
Let me add.. the "pocket trash" i do carry.. and its not for any other reason than to barter with as i ultimately dont care which i have and what it is (coin. Bar, etc) is a 1oz piece of silver. I ha e used it a few times in my live (Hurricane irma, earthquake, the texas ice storm (zero electricity for over a week).
That Gerber knife also has the two holes on the finger guard so you can tie it to a stick and make a spear, but you probably knew that. ;-) . Great set up. Makes me feel like I haven't done enough, and yet I have a lot of the same kind of stuff you do.
just found this video today and loved the content, i subscribed. if you still need a recommendation for good jumper cables, the walmart ones have been good for me i have 3 pairs in 3 of my vehicles, the everstart 20ft 4gauge ones are the ones i use
I keep my truck set up potty close to the same way. Most items are inside and when I travel I have a big tool box and impact setup with heavy navy the I tiedown in my bed.
I run a Decked truck bed drawer system, and it holds everything I'd need in a secure waterproof setup. Having axes, ammo boxes, machetes, etc, in the cab is a bad idea if you're in an accident..
Look how nice and shiny new all this gear looks! Nicely manicured nails, no dirt under those nails! Hands look like they have never seen a hard day's labor......This dude is all hat, no cattle.
I had an OEM cig lighter put in that 12v in the center console. I don’t smoke but never use that 12v. Same truck and it has way too many 12v and usb lol.
this is the best EDC video I have ever seen. I have viewed over 300 EDC video

Glad I could help.
We're definitely brothers from different mothers - so much cross over between the gear in my Truck EDC video :-) Love it man - keep it up.

thanks for the good ideas. i am still trying to get my truck edc set
Love the video, only question I have is, it seems like the knives and axe under the seats are just kind of sitting there. Have you found any kind of under seat storage system that keeps them anchored in place?
I recently moved them under my bed cover in quick grips
like the way you outfitted the truck...........lots of your links went just to amazon front page.....i clicked on them all.
I'll recheck them today. Thank you much
I just fixed them. Good catch.
@@MarineX welcome
You should be careful with those lithium batteries sitting in the heat of your car. They can explode or catch fire if it's hot enough. Otherwise great video. Some of the things I would probably just keep a full sized version of like the blankets and towels. Portable ones are nice though.
Thanks for checking it out
My car gets baked every day. I can't keep anything with batteries in it.
Awesome video! Whats the link for the medical bag in the center console??
Here you go amzn.to/3r4fJ3B
Maybe late on this but I use Harbor Freight Jumper cables. The 4 gauge are inexpensive and work well. I've used them to jump-start a CAT D6 dozer before.
Great video man, keep it up
Awesome video! Congrats
Love your content!!
Glad the battalion is growing!!!
That Gerber knife also has the two holes on the finger guard so you can tie it to a stick and make a spear, but you probably knew that. ;-) . Great set up. Makes me feel like I haven't done enough, and yet I have a lot of the same kind of stuff you do.
You have probably done tons sir. Thanks much
just found this video today and loved the content, i subscribed. if you still need a recommendation for good jumper cables, the walmart ones have been good for me i have 3 pairs in 3 of my vehicles, the everstart 20ft 4gauge ones are the ones i use
Thanks for checking me out brother
I keep my truck set up potty close to the same way. Most items are inside and when I travel I have a big tool box and impact setup with heavy navy the I tiedown in my bed.
I run a Decked truck bed drawer system, and it holds everything I'd need in a secure waterproof setup. Having axes, ammo boxes, machetes, etc, in the cab is a bad idea if you're in an accident..
Look how nice and shiny new all this gear looks! Nicely manicured nails, no dirt under those nails! Hands look like they have never seen a hard day's labor......This dude is all hat, no cattle.
Hygiene is key. Good luck on your quests
I really dig this channel.
Very nice video with some good inspiration. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks much
Bourbon and cigars. SUBSCRIBED!
My other channel is all about those two items lol ua-cam.com/channels/dcBQLY3DQ1zeK-3H1wKgVg.html
Got some great ideas from this. Thanks bruh.
Snag up the goods brother.
I had an OEM cig lighter put in that 12v in the center console. I don’t smoke but never use that 12v. Same truck and it has way too many 12v and usb lol.
Love that lmf2!
This is great and everything. But you only have metric sockets so what if you need standard sizes bolt/nuts??
I should be fine. My GMC is metric with the exception of the axel.
