Great idea, I've been saying for 10 years the rv manufacturers should build in a bypass, like you said most people don't dry camp, blank tank problems are frequent and this will eliminate that !
Grand Design is now including the bypass as a standard feature in a few of their product lines, and we believe all manufacturers will eventually make it standard across the board. It’s surprising it has taken this long to shift their mindset, but we have all delt with it until now thanks to Al’s brilliant invention. Manufacturers have been using "Residential RV toilets," but now we can finally install a true residential toilet. Check out the installation video of my rig featuring a smart toilet, the bypass, and the Snap Trap. Do not forget to subscribe and share as your support means the world.
In just 2 weeks, we're getting the bypass system installed along with a real residential smart toilet and bidet! I'll be filming the entire installation and sharing a full review. Hey Joey, sorry to hear that. It sounded fine on our end, but I guess that wasn't the case. Unfortunately, I can't take it down because it's doing really well. The bypass system will be a great option for upper deck fifth wheel trailers, but not single level travel trailers or secondary bathrooms on fifth wheels where the black tank is usually located immediately below the toilet. Good to see actual RV-ers designing new products and contributing to the evolution of the industry.
I have been raving almost my whole life. I never leave the black tank valve open. First reason is it’s easier for the smell to travel up from the in ground tank or what ever it is. Second, I sure don’t want black tank holdings leaking out of the hose if it gets a pinhole in it. The tank also empties better if it’s not empty all the time and 1 flush is trying to drain. Just my experiences. My Dad taught me that when I was young. As I said earlier, I’ve been raving most of my life. This works well for me.
Great points! Keeping the black tank valve closed definitely helps avoid odors and potential leaks. I agree-it’s best to let the tank fill up a bit before draining for a more thorough flush. This system bypasses the tank all together and has bben tested for 2 years without any issues. Thanks for sharing your experience, and it's awesome that your dad passed down such valuable RV wisdom! Keep on raving!
May I suggest two additional things I have implemented in our Clas A Motorhome: 1) Added a 12VDC exhaust fan in line with the black tank roof vent pipe. It's powered from a nearby 12V source using a relay controlled by a low current magnetic switch mounted to the toilet's foot pedal. Pressing the foot pedal as far as needed to add water to the toilet activates the relay and fan creating a slight negative pressure in the black tank. Pressing further on the foot pedal opens the ball valve and instead of poop smells rising from the toilet's down pipe (more noticeable on hot summer days) they are sucked down and out the roof vent pipe. This eliminates the odor in the bathroom. 2) Added a 'Y' connector and macerator pump to the wet bay. One end of the 'Y' is connected to another waste gate valve which allows for attachment of the stinky slinky when at a dump site. The output of the macerator pump connects to two ball valves. The first connects to a garden hose to pump effluent uphill when necessary for elevated septic systems. The second connects back into the black tank using a 3/4" Uniseal brand bulkhead fitting just upstream of the toilet down pipe. This allows for blasting Poo-Pyramids toward the macerator using the water already in the black tank which does its work without needing to add more water to the black tank which would be wasteful especially when boondocking. An added benefit is that when boondocking the gray tank tends to fill before the black tank we can open the gray tank gate valve and use the macerator to put some gray water into the black tank giving us an extra day or two of dry camping before needing to drive to a dump site. 💩💩💩💩
Been doin the trap thing ever since we got our first Rv. Stinky slinky and just form a trap at the end with the hose before it goes into the sanitary line. Did that so we can leave the gray tank open while camping. Never had a problem with flies
We’ve all tried something like this at some point - makes you wonder why we didn’t think of a product to sell ourselves! Big props to Al for actually making it happen!

The problem with by passing black tank with Rv toliet is you don't have enough water flushing with solids and will build up in horizontal part of the hose over time , this is same reason black tanks get nasty and clogged to little water verus solids. Im sure the bypass works great with Residencial toliet because of toliet water flow . I use my Gray water to flush out my black tank easy peasy.
We realize now that the audio isn't coming across as intended. It sounded fine on my end, but obviously that's not the case, especially on cell phones, which I didn’t test. We’ll definitely fix this in future videos. Unfortunately, we can't take this one down since it's performing exceptionally well. I made a bypass 4 years ago with a 4" irrigation "Y". Not the best option but it works ok for our family. Mine exits the RV into a trap outside. I got tired of dumping every week. We have been full time for 11 years.
That's awesome! You should have contacted Morryde!!!!!! We appreciate your feedback and support. Please make sure to follow and share our channel - it really helps us grow! Thanks again!
Im curious to see how it does in the real world of RV. My skepticism is several things have to be correct in order to get a complete flush. If you do get a clog in the drain hose you aren't going to know until its too late. I don't want to be the one to unclog that.
I'd love to hear more about this product, but I could not hear the dialog over the background music. Hint - listen to your videos on a big TV (preferably with soundbar) before publishing - music that sounds great on my phone become way too loud on a TV...

Now you need to make a proper seal for those who use the full hookups the entire stay. I usually dump at the end of my stay. But there will be several people who just leave their sewer hose hooked up the entire stay and it smells so bad.
I’ll be filming and installing the video in two weeks, and I’ll follow up with a review so you can see exactly how it performs in real-world conditions. This unit has been thoroughly tested over the past two years and is ready to go. Thanks for your continued support and feedback!
Also to much pitch the water will get ahead of the solids leaving the solids behind. Not enough pitch and you’re gonna get a clog. These hose are not smooth on the inside like a sanitary line is were it can run smoothly down the line .. Those solids are gonna hit that steep drop and stick right there..When it goes into the black tank you don’t have to worry about that cause it gets broken down in the tank with the additive you put in .

@@FullHookups So in other words, 90% of the time the answer is it would be impossible for a large number of rv's. My 2000 Fleetwood has the toilet directly on top of the black tank inlet, and the tank is mounted tight between the frame rails. The other huge issue (as shown in your demonstration stand) is there is no gate or check valve to prevent the flushed waste from backing into the black tank, which would also slow the flow thorough the hose and create clogs. Great concept for sure, and as a full timer on hookups the idea is sound, but this execution of it has major flaws.
@@mxslick50 Thank you for your feedback - the plumbing shown in the display kiosk is not at all relevant to "as installed" in a RV, it was plumbed to suit the display only. Being the P-trap sewer hose support is a first. I would be interested in a simplified version, i don't want to be struggling n fighting to get the sewer hose in n out for a two nite stay. would be nice to not have any background music at all
I know I agree, we did address this in comments and it wont happen again. the video went viral so we couldnt update it. appriciate you feedback. Please share and subsccribe.
Great idea but ideally your not gonna have 2 ft to install this nor have a access spot for the handle for valve..
They've already installed this feature in numerous floorplans and have been testing it for 2 years. Al will be installing it in my Riverstone 42FSKG soon, and I'll be sharing an installation video along with a review. Stay tuned!
@FullHookups no I'm sure we will see it implemented in new units but to retrofit into a floorplan without one is gonna be rare across the board..again great idea tho and would love to see manufacturers install these in new units.thanks Fullhookups🫡
you do know you can make this same setup with a $5 dollar plastic milk crate
You can, but this looks better, code level and durable. What about the black tank bypass?
Background music way too loud.
I know, sorry, it sounded ok here but apparently not the case elsewhere. The video is doing very well so Im not pulling down. thanks for the feedback.
Cost
I will find out the details for you. The bypass comes in two different types, manual and motorized. Of course, if you are looking for a residential toilet, that will cost extra. I will find out more information when we install it in two weeks, and I will post an installation video and a review video after we have used it for a month. Thank you for your support and feedback. Please subscribe and share our content.
Need some diagrams to fully understand these concepts.
I'll have an installation vide soon, plus you can check out ezrvsolutions.com. Please follow and share our channel., we really appreciate your support 👍❤️

Please please remove the background noise all together. Thanks.
Apologies for that! I’ve addressed the issue and pinned it to the top, so it won’t happen again. Please subscribe and share-your support means a lot to us!
Great technology and innovation but please get rid of the music.
We apologize for the sound issue - it sounded fine on our end, but we now realize we need to test it on other devices. Thanks for your feedback, and we’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again. Since the video is performing extremely well, we won’t be relaunching it. Please follow and share our channel - we truly appreciate your support!
Background music was very distracting!!!
We realize now that the audio isn't coming across as intended. It sounded fine on my end, but obviously that's not the case, especially on cell phones, which I didn’t test. We’ll definitely fix this in future videos. Unfortunately, we can't take this one down since it's performing exceptionally well. I really appreciate your feedback and hope you’ll continue to follow, share, and support our channel as we work through these growing pains. Thank you!
Turn the music down or off it is ruining your tutorial
Apologies for the music issue in that video-it’s something I addressed a while back, and it won’t happen again. Since the video went viral, I couldn’t re-upload it without losing the momentum. I recommend checking out my other videos, where I’ve made sure everything is clear and explained properly. Thanks for your understanding!
What is he saying? Music is so loud we don’t know what he is talking about.
We apologize-we addressed that issue in the pinned comment, and it won't happen again. The original audio sounded fine on our end, but we didn't test it on other devices. Before we knew it, the video took off, and we didn't want to stop it and repost. Your feedback is welcome. Please subscribe and share.
I got one better than that you don’t ever have to dump your urine or poop…. The toilet is about $5000 and it’s an incinerator…. of course it works on propane, but the only thing you have to clean out are the ashes…..
"Wow, I've seen a few comments about this. Does it have any odor while it's working? Please don't forget to subscribe and share-we truly appreciate your support as we continue to grow!"
Get rid of the music ,it’s hard to hear .

Would be much easier to listen to without the unnecessary background music.

Why do UA-camrs add music to interview type videos? Makes zero sense!
I have a response to this pinned to the top of the comments. It was a mistake on our part and won't happen again.
Too much technology, not enough problem.

Great idea for full timers but totally agree the music drowned out the talking. Had to stop watching because it was very annoying!
Thx, that's why I pinned the noise responce to the top. Wont happen again.... Please subscribe and share!

KILL THE BACKGROUND MUSIC.

Dude, kill the back grounded music. Freaking horrible!
I'm really sorry about that! I addressed the issue and pinned it to the top. It sounded fine on my end, but I realize there were problems on other devices. I promise it won’t happen again, but I couldn’t redo this video since it's performing so well. I truly appreciate your insight and hope you'll support our efforts by subscribing and sharing the channel. Thanks!

Background music WAY to loud
I apologize for the background music being a bit too loud. It sounded fine on my end, but I understand it's not coming across that way for everyone. Unfortunately, I can't take the video down since it's performing well, but I really appreciate your feedback and support. Please bear with us!
