Though listening to Patri Satish recorded is great, it does not do justice to listening to him live while sitting in the nearby rows. He has magical fingers.

The ultimate feel which could emanate from a traditional mridangam is missing in this modern bolt and nut instrument. Though the instrument is useful for the todays generation the original feel is missing and resembles more like a tabla.
