Lyrics: Killstar
Strike the match in a cold world
A cold world set aflame
Scratch whatever itch you need
‘Cause it’s blind leading blind and we’re all fucked the same
Sip the wine while the cold world
The cold world eats itself alive
Stemming the plague with a smile
No artificial stimulation will detoxify the shame inside
Where the miracles go to die, and the lovers are filled with spite
And the murderers sleep so tight
Where the richest eclipse the sun, killing a star just to fill their cup
Made it so easy to reach for the gun
And set ourselves on fire
It’s excessive
There’s more than seven ways to sin
So ironic how condemning yourself down is exactly the way in
Would you do it to yourself?
Would you do it to the ones you love?
Don’t you cry for the horror
The cold world forced you to see?
Sometimes I wonder if you like it, you like it
I bet you’d pay to watch some people bleed
Hands up
Pray for the wicked, pay their way up
Sending our love all the way to the top for the fuckers to chew it up
And spit it out like it’s offensive
Mask off, no pretending
Sympathy gone, you spent it
Making war’s fun, but who ends it?
Hands up
Give us something nice to dream about
Blanketed by a thick haze, we hallucinate as our lungs give out
Falling stars making craters out of our homes
A billion with their hands up and one foot in the grave, forever cast in stone
How does it feel to keep thriving as if you’ve earned it?
If it’s your hand that feeds, I’m sharpening my razor teeth
Bite down, let the poison run
Though it hurts, just bite down, let the poison run
Cold world
(It’s out with the old world, there’s fear in your eyes)
‘Cause there’s a galaxy burned into your legacy forever
Did you do it to yourself?
Did you neutralise the shame inside?
Where the miracles go to die, and the lovers are filled with spite
And the murderers sleep so tight
Where the richest eclipse the sun, killing a star just to fill their cup
Made it so easy to reach for the gun
And set ourselves on fire

Such aesthetically pleasing work...oh that is something
Firstly, I love how Antonio pronounces Kookaburra. Secondly, Australia does exist, I'm sitting on it right now. Thirdly, I've never heard of this band and I did like the song although I would have liked it to be a bit heavier. The vocalist was great. Cheers guys. btw Pedro, the dodo was not an Australian animal.
For some reason I thought it was. My bad…
What a fantastic band , i discovered thanks to you ,the new album is fantastic and i dont even care if sometimes is less heavy, they are very talented and the production is phenomenal
Glad you digged them
love this band thanks for sharing.
I don’t normally listen to dare I say it female fronted bands. But I found myself thinking what is next and that hooked me in for the entire song. Look forward to the album.
Found this band with the last EP they dropped, which is awesome and has a song featuring Sean from Make Them Suffer. I was so happy to see them get signed to Nuclear Blast recently. I love the layering in their music, and it's done in a way where you can still pick everything out. They have a lot of different influences, but one of the biggest for Monique is SOAD and you can really pick that out in some of her melody choices at times.
Request - song The Wake of the Fall by Canadian melodic death metal band Fallensun from their album The Wake of the Fall
Need more stam1na reaction
Nah you should have done all that remains divine. Way better
I can see why people would find this appealing but it does nothing for me
Lol as an Aussie I think you should come see Australia for yourself and learn to pronounce words such as kookaburra NOT koo-kaburra
Ah, c'mon, that was cute pronunciation.
