In this video I showcase the strength of using Persuade at the start of the game, at how a character such as Karin can just allow herself to kill 3 (4 if you decide to sleep) contestants as soon as the game starts allowing you to power through the early game quite a bit.
The reason why other players would have a hard time relying on this strategy is because Karin can remove the deadly turns in which two characters can ruin a playthrough at the start of the game:
- Olivia's Nettle Mist (Causing the player to miss for the entire game or until they heal the status effect with Sylvian)
- Marina's Black Smog (Permanently blinding the user for the entire playthrough)
Of course Marcoh's high HP on the torso and VERY HIGH damage doesn't help at all in a playthrough so this also helps against that.

Fear & Hunger is a rogue-like horror JRPG that uses the classic turn-based strategic dismemberment combat system. It has countless secrets, randomized events to give players a new experience each time, included with original soundtracks inspired by the works of Akira Yamaoka.
Fear & Hunger has hours of unforgettable gameplay with diverse character classes and many more different characters to meet and play with. Your fate will be destined with the following action. . . Head, or Tails? Call it and don't forget it was your choice to begin with.
While the gameplay mechanics and art, as well as the previously mentioned songs inspire people to try out the game day and night, what keeps making people come back to the series is the insane amount of replayability, either due to a different starting character or a different build that will increase your strength early game while having a few difficult spikes near the late game obstacles.
It is no surprise that knowledge is what carries a player forward throughout the playthrough, Thus, the more knowledge one has over the many enemies they'll be facing the easier it is going to be to see such things as but easy challenges to the point of not even saving throughout an entire run.
The amount of knowledge that both games (Fear and hunger - Fear and hunger 2 : Termina) provide to the player will get stuck to the player's brain, resulting in not being able to go back to a state where they didn't know how to tackle situations. This is both beneficial and a weakness from the game as once you properly know how to tackle, for example: a Prison Guard then you will not have the benefit of figuring out their puzzle fight.
Every single monster is a puzzle and it's up to the player to blindly figure it out to the answer.
Prison Guard Battle:
The question will still remain in the players. . . Which limb to remove first?
Is it the arm? (Is the Prison Guard going to be grabbing me in the first turn?)
Is it the arm with the knife? (Is it going to cut my arm or is he going to do it in the 2nd turn?)
Is the stinger the actual threat? (Maybe it's not there for decoration and it has a purpose to it?)
Once you figure out how to properly defeat such enemies, you will be able to push yourself forward more and more, to even learning how to evade them without having to get into a fight with a single enemy in your playthrough.

The shooter's strongest weapon: gaslighting
Everybody gangster until Karin guards 3 times and uses all her rev points to shoot you twice with one bullet
I might make that as a hidden tech itself, no one seems to use it for some reason haha, it's quite strong, especially with Meditation

@@bizznick444joe7 Persuade on Bobby is meta. Escape plan is useless since if you have 20 agility you are always going to be able to get away with Back -> Run Away.
The skill Run away is weak as heck as well.
Back -> Run stacks with agility
While Skill -> Run does not

Ah yes, against mayor and having Abella in your time might guarantee a stun on the knife of Mayor to prevent limb loss as Karin goes for Rev 3 Pistol, and Abella Rev 3 Wrench. It could be op, still confused about abella, it doesn t react in text but it stops attacking somehow
@@ADarkRaccoon Chaugnar can give 1-2 free turns with persuasion and I think the mayor as well. that's plenty of time to cut arms off ;)

Also, do you think you could do a guide on how to find (and kill) August before day 3 sometime in the future? I keep missing him somehow and can't get ending C because of it : (
Day 2 morning (or was it evening?) Go by the magic shop and go south past the gate. Hell appear in the crossroad between the sewer building, and the empty courtyard across it.
You may need to goof around a bit to get him to spawn, I usually get him to do so by running into the empty area to the left of his spawn
Alright let me do that cuz I've actually have a hard time finding him Day 2 Dusk and Night, it will help me out as well :)
There has to be some stuff and decisions that cause him to despawn kinda like Tanaka but we'll see, on it.
Karin is just a Danganronpa character, she just gets a couple of Truth Bullets

Press up once
Press z
Press "to title"
Press new game
Pick a different character.
Honestly, Karin is actually pretty good(she does not have any crippling downsides and overall has nice skills), she just really doesn't have any Hidden tech other than the fact that you can line up enemies and kill them with 1 bullet in the overworld.
You can also just not skip the intro and guard until Rev 3 and kill janitor with pistol, then use his Kassara instead of the pistol to do the same and save some ammo.
Yeah, but this tech is pretty op too since Marina s blind and Olivia s Nettle are scary

This video helped me to beat Ending's B and C with my favourite character in a surprisingly effective manner, I just wish Karin had more of a obvious niche. Very useful video, would love to see more like this in the future!

Honestly I'd say Karin is quite solid early game, at least on normal difficulty. She's able to pacify most early enemies for a full turn, which lets her farm easy heads to do it as a free action after resting. Her big "flaw" is that you can just kill her with any other character and get her skills that way lol.
I'd say, though spoilers ahead...
Abella exists and completely nullifies Karin s ability for early game.
The only place where Karin shines without Abella is against Bobbies, which is fine. But every single character can destroy early game so easily and grow compared to Karin, and yeah... She can just be slained as she is like 5 maps away from the starting point lol

I always just follow Tanaka to take him out first and then circle back to empty the train and then make tracks for Karin. Pick up Abella before taking a nap and then punk Needles so I can recuit Levi.
And then I die horribly I can't friggin beat this game. Especially since you hafta do most stuff on day 1 and can only use the Funger bible or enlightenment to save.
You can always use my 99 Book of Enlightenment Mod to get used to the game.
You don't have to force yourself to be perfect :o

I really don't consider Karin a weak char, she's actually decent from the start. The weakest one still would be Levi.
The reason why I consider her weak is because no one really picks her as the first choice in any of the playthroughs that I see people go through in Twitch, Discord F&F group and UA-camrs, as no one even uses this strength early. But yeah, I want her to be as strong as other characters if possible. . . Sadly no one else, not even Levi can take down the MCs like Karin does it here, but he has an easy time against Limb Destroying like the Woodsman making him just an easy thing to deal with.
Why do you consider Levi the weakest?
@@wl4316 not racoon, but all levis skills are either useless (trenchguns) or heavily reliant on rng for ammo drops, and you can't even start with them without a crippling debuff.
His only real boon is a handful of ammo to start with which let's you kill some early minibosses, which truly aren't that hard to kill or avoid with some effort. They're also frankly unnecessary as most guns are insanely good without any skills at all
@@wl4316that's not to say his skills are worthless or anything. His pistol skill generally doubles your "rifle" ammo, to the point where you can just blow the arms off of whatever you don't feel like dealing with.
Marksman, while unreliable can save you rifle ammo for more disarming.
It's just that you really don't need them by the time you actually have the ammo reserves to use them properly
No need to argue, Levi and Karin are bottom 2 lol
It's like comparing O'saa vs Marina, Marcoh vs Abella, Daan vs Olivia
the gap is not big enough.
They underestimated her
They thought she didn't cover any wars.
You could get 6 (possibly 7 souls) in one day if you killed Abella and Daan in afternoon.
The 7th soul is from the "new mayor".

It's a really good start haha, quite honestly the best at starting at killing without any build up!
She didn't even need time to be convinced she already comes packing with a gun!
I did this strategy but instead of using the pistol, I killed the Janitor with the Pistol and used the Kassara instead
That helps hahaha
It helps with min maxing ammo but Marina can cast Black Smog with both arms so I advice always using Persuade

Do you think you could complete the game on any difficulty, exclusively as a starter character? That is, use only those weapons and skills that you received in the backstory of the character? You can use healers and food, but drugs can not (maybe an exception for Levi).
Oh yeah, Rezardi did a playthrough of Karin in Maso without Hexen at all. . . However, the starting weapons and skills only might be hard. . . Since he relied on Items only, that sounds like a VERY DIFFICULT challenge. . . Huh Maybe? Hopefully I can get you reminding me over this in a few days and I'll probably try it haha sounds fun though

You could make a simpler version - like you could use items that's not random founded (like a leech ring among screaming men or a sergal spear or rifle from a house wall, armor from a museum).
Or is it possible to use the hexen after all three statuettes have been found? (I like this option better).
Maybe you can also use trapcraft (but definitely not weaponcraft).
You can't use the skills/souls of other members, you can hire them though.
Can't buy anything other than healers/food/alcohol.

No.
Depending on the state of things you will have Tanaka react or not.
Make sure to do this at the start of the game, that way you have the same triggers as I did when I showed it.
why not save the last bullet and equip a knife to finish off marina
Oh of course it can be done if you want :)
I just am rather scared of Tackle DMG especially without Guarding and equipping another weapon.
I am always down in using 1 more bullet as they usually come back when I need them.
This is in the end a guide on how to do it but it can be changed around of course :o.
Though, gotta say Rev 3 Knife might not be enough to kill her if you get bad RNG I believe, though could be wrong.

Caligura is very weak. . . The bad thing about Cali is that you cannot kill him otherwise you get grabbed by everyone in the train.
The only ones you can kill are the ones marked here in this video. (Marina, Marcoh, Olivia) [ And Tanaka if you don't wanna catch him outside and want to wait for him inside]
