Who needs a fitness tracker when you can have a watch that tracks your Wi-Fi hacking skills? Because, you know, getting kicked off a network is the ultimate cardio workout.
They basically took the same deauth app software that runs on an ESP32 and made this James Bond watch with it. I did a video over a year ago using a Flipper and a WiFi dev ESP32 board and using it to deauth my own TV and UA-cam took it down and told me I was providing "Harmful & Dangerous" information.
De-authentication attacks became a big issue for public Wi-Fi networks in 2008. This watch shows just how far Wi-Fi hacking tools have come since then, making it easier but scarier at the same time!
Sadly this is a dead flop, no time display like on the box. It has to be very close to my router to be effective which is impractical. Worst of all the battery flattened very quickly the USB charging port is broken when I inserted the cable which was provided in the package. The "WATCH" is buggered considering it wasn't cheap.
Enable PMF (802.11w) on WPA2 networks. It’s part of the WPA3 requirements. The injection attack no longer works then, because the management frames between devices are encrypted. Some older IoT devices might not be able to connect to a PMF enabled network, but if that is the case, the device is trash security wise anyways. In case you really need an incompatible device to connect to your network, use a separate SSID with PMF disabled.
So is 5GHz a size thing? I'm always so frustrated that so many "smart devices" only ever support 2.4, and never 5. Is that because 5GHz wifi requires more physical space? Is that why computers and game consoles support it, but not RGB light bulbs?
Small devices like those light bulbs prefer wider range than speed. 5Ghz has worse range and can be easily blocked compared to 2.4Ghz besides 2.4 being cheaper to implement
2.4 has deeper penetration and you would want your IOT devices to be on a separate network from your laptops. Also wifi will only go a fast as the speed of the slowest connected device
2.4GHz is a lower frequency which is good for devices further away from the AP. 5GHz is a higher frequency which supports faster connection speeds to the AP and affords a better quality connection. Plus you can use 20, 40 and 80MHz channel widths and there are many more WiFi channels to use on the 5GHz compared to 13 channels in Europe on the 2.4GHz (1, 6 and 11 are the only "usable" ones in my 20 years experience). You get way too much congestion on 2.4GHz if the WiFi isn't properly managed.
Ah, sweet! Thank you for the information, David! I wonder if I get one to see the hardware by taking it apart and putting it back together? Edit : 3:58 : I remember that movie when I was young.
@@ccc3I got one Shipped all the way from uk to Taiwan There are some minor problem on the screen like scratch and the box seen to be opened But unlike the bad review on Amazon the screen didn’t crack But not to mention it had a pretty poor build quality
In this lecture all the stations are disconnected from the AP. Based on the other lectures and deep dive discussions on this channel, in addition to this demo, I assume one can disconnect only one dedicated station too. Even with these devices. I cannot get my head around why WPA-3 would be more resilient for disconnections, surely for cracking the password.
NO, it's a con. This 'watch' from what I make out just occupies valuable space on your wrist that could be utilised with a watch that tells the time. Mine gave up after an hour with a buggered charging port inserting the lead provided.

Well, i suppose its a bit nicer looking then the Dstike deauth watch, and slightly easier looking to navigate GUI. But if it doesnt work on 5g wifi, then its kind of pointless purchasing one (especially if you already own the Dstike).... Does it have any new features compared to the Dstike, or is it just the same firmware on a different device?
Is there a way to prevent deuth attacks? I ready a few months ago that WPA3 had patched the vulnerability but I'm now reading that it's still susceptible
Watch the end of the video where I give tips. Enable Protected Management Frames (PMF) for example or use WPA3 which comes by default with PMF enabled. The issue is that some clients don't support it :(
No. Tested it on my own network on 2.4. Never switches to 5.0. It can’t because deauthor mode keeps your device trying to connect 2.4 continuously tying everything up.
@@kciwner I could only see that happening if the deauthed device is set to only connect with 2.4ghz. Most devices would definitely switch to 5ghz. It's good that you tested it on your network. I would dive into the settings and get that sorted and try again.
