I used to see Diane at times when I lived near her and her husband and when I helped a DJ at Radio Manchester .She was the loveliest ,most polite and chatty person you could ever wish to meet . .Her nice character was a rarity in the broadcasting industry as I have met some of the arrogant rude s##ts as well and the lovely lady Diane stood out like a ray of sunshine.Why do good people die young and the horrible tripe hounds seem to have longevity.It really is not fair.
I am from New Zealand and the South Island switched over last week, see my video on my channel. Really interesting to see in other countries that people had to retune following the switch over. Over here we started a free digital satalitte service in 2007 and a free terrestial digital service in 2008. These services have co-existed with analogue, the terrestial service is only available in the cities small towns don't get it. Also there was no fanfare when the services were switched off.
The start of the decline in TV standards and quality of programming, more channels now and nothing worth watching, freeview just endless repeats of old shows.
And I thought Australian TV propaganda was bad. They call it a Freeview box? We have Freeview marketing crap in Australia but Freeview boxes. Those TV proles have a condescending tone and their mascot is hideous. Why does everything have to be all cutesy nowdays? Is it to make this primitive technology seem less intimidating to the masses?

What happened to her? Always the good decent people who die too soon
She succumbed to a fairly rare cancer and died within a few short weeks of diagnosis.

We are coverd by winter hill I've got e on VHS of the anologe going off on BBC2!
The biggest change in broadcasting since 405 lines system was switched off....
Funny that... we want to get rid of the BBC licence fee, they dont yet they advised us to get a FREEview box....
