I, too, still enjoy handwritten letters- both sending and receiving! The difference between writing a letter and sending an email is that, when I am writing a letter, my thoughts are completely focused upon the recipient. There is no multi-tasking; no pop-up reminders, no notifications of any sort. In some ways, the hand-written letter is a very high compliment to the recipient (in my humble opinion) because of the sole focus on that person during the time of the writing. 😍

You really got to remind yourself consciously and say to yourself "no, stop... you don't HAVE to do everything at once or at the same time." And yeah, you really can smell snow... I like it, too. It's so beautiful and quiet out there where you live!

Yes! Snow has a distinctive smell! Even before it snows, without seeing any meteorological report, the smell in the air and the look of the clouds is evidence of impending snow. I enjoy the variety of smells of the weather and of the seasons. At one point in my life I lived in a South American country and only 10 degrees below the equator. The sameness of the days and little variation in the weather had me really missing my distinct four seasons in the northern part of the northern hemisphere! I missed the smells, aromas, fragrances and even the odors! It is good to be back in the hills of New Hampshire, in the USA.
