Dienst Speciale Interventies
De Dienst Speciale Interventies bestrijdt alle vormen van ernstig geweld en terrorisme. De Aanhoudings- en Ondersteuningsteams van de politie zijn een onderdeel van deze dienst. Zij treden op als redelijkerwijs mag worden verondersteld dat er sprake is van omstandigheden die levensbedreigend zijn voor de politie of anderen.
Dienst Specialistische Operaties
De Dienst Specialistische Operaties levert operationele ondersteuning en hoogwaardige (technologische) vernieuwing aan de Nederlandse politie. Het gaat daarbij om afgeschermde operaties zoals werken onder dekmantel en getuigenbescherming, het afluisteren van bijvoorbeeld telefoongesprekken, maar ook om beredenen, speur- en specialistische dieren. Het Landelijk Forensisch Servicecentrum maakt eveneens deel uit van deze dienst.
Dienst Landelijke Recherche
De Dienst Landelijke Recherche bestrijdt zware en georganiseerde criminaliteit. Maar ook specifieke fenomenen zoals kinderporno, milieucriminaliteit, terrorisme en high tech crime. Daarnaast is de dienst de officiële, nationale opsporingsinstantie als Nederlanders - of Nederlandse eigendommen buiten onze landsgrenzen - betrokken raken bij of het doelwit zijn van aanslagen of activiteiten van de zware, georganiseerde criminaliteit.
Dienst Koninklijke en Diplomatieke Beveiliging
De politie bewaakt en beveiligt personen, objecten en diensten op nationaal, regionaal en lokaal niveau. Deze beveiligingsmaatregelen zijn goed op elkaar afgestemd. Naarmate de dreiging groter is of de beveiligingsopdracht ingewikkelder, nemen ook de te nemen maatregelen toe. In zulke situaties krijgt de Dienst Koninklijke en Diplomatieke Beveiliging een prominentere rol en levert ondersteuning met specifieke expertise en bijzondere inzetmiddelen. Dit doet de dienst in nauwe samenwerking met de Nationaal Coördinator Terrorismebestrijding en Veiligheid en het Openbaar Ministerie.
Dienst Infrastructuur
De Dienst Infrastructuur bestrijdt de onveiligheid en criminaliteit op de Nederlandse hoofdinfrastructuur: op de snelweg, het water, het spoor en in de luchtvaart. De dienst biedt verder luchtsteun om de slagkracht van de politie te verhogen.
Dienst Landelijk Operationeel Centrum
Het Operationeel Centrum vormt het hart in de aansturing van alle actuele operaties en zorgt voor overzicht en samenhang. Daartoe beschikt het Operationeel Centrum permanent over een volledig en actueel operationeel beeld: wat speelt er in de maatschappij en welke mensen en middelen heeft de politie beschikbaar? Zo kan het Operationeel Centrum eventueel bijsturen en de slagkracht van de politie afstemmen op de veiligheidssituatie van dat moment.
Dienst Landelijke Informatieorganisatie
De Dienst Landelijke Informatieorganisatie verricht specifieke, landelijke taken zoals internationale informatie-uitwisseling en nationale informatiecoördinatie. De dienst zorgt tevens voor overzicht en inzicht in de (inter)nationale veiligheidssituatie ten behoeve van het operationele politiewerk. Verder fungeert de dienst binnen de politie als loket voor onder meer Europol, Interpol en Nederlandse liaison officers die namens de politie in het buitenland werken.

Goede samenwerking! En het blijft gek dat men nog atijd denkt dat Duitsland inrijden helpt, aangezien jullie gewoon mogen blijven achtervolgen en staande houden.
Nou, in dit geval waren ze al onderweg richting Duitsland, maar inderdaad, het helpt niet.
Het heeft wel geholpen.
In Duitsland zijn de straffen namelijk hoger dan in Nederland.
Ook kan de Duitse politie makkelijker onderzoeken of het om een gestolen voertuig gaat, etc.
Tis wel zo dat je op de autobahn ietwat veiliger hard kan rijden. Als je een snelle bak hebt kan je een politie auto er misschien nog uitrijden.

Ik ben blij dat de Nederlandse en Duitse Politie zo goed op elkaar ingespeeld zijn en goed afspraken hebben over achtervolgen e.d. over de grens.
Dat maakt het dit soort criminelen veel lastiger om weg te komen. Lijkt me een mooi voorbeeld voor andere grensgebieden.

Dat komt omdat de aanhouding in Duitsland gebeurde en daardoor automatisch onder de Duitse regie valt, wel kan Nederland om uitlevering vragen nadat in Duitsland de gevangenis straf is uitgezeten.

Mooie actie en samenwerking met Dld. Wel bijzondere plek om het voertuig te laten stoppen. Had zelf een iets veiliger plekje uitgezocht voor de eerste staande houding.
gingen er in eerste instantie vandoor. als ze dan alsnog stoppen dan is een snelweg met vangrailsen juist een veilge optie om te voorkomen dat ze er alsnog tussenuit knijpen. bovendien wil je ze eenmaal gestopt niet nog een moment van heroverweging geven. allemaal vanuit veiligheid voor iedereen gedacht.

Reed laatst op de snelweg en werd ingehaald door politie in zo'n SIV. De bestuurder ervan zou met recht in aanmerking komen van de titel 'aso van de week'. Bumperkleven, rechts inhalen over de in-/uitvoegstrook, over verdrijvingsvlakken en puntstukken rijden (daarbij stofwolken makend), snelheden richting ik denk zo'n 180 km/h... zonder sirene of andere signalen. Als je er zonodig langs moet als politie omdat je ergens snel moet zijn waarom wordt de sirene dan niet aangezet? Dan gaat iedereen gewoon opzij en hoeven bovenstaande gevaarlijke capriolen niet uitgevoerd te worden.
Wel eens van vrijstellingen gehoord?? Waarschijnlijk niet dus.

Dat kan. Dan zou dat al rijdende weg moeten zijn gebeurd, want van de chauffeur mag je verwachten dat hij zijn auto kent. Hij kan dat natuurlijk ook zo aan de politie vertellen.

@@tyfon4429 Het is wel iets anders of je dochter met spoed naar het ziekenhuis moest of dat je zoals in dit geval met twee jongens zonder papieren met hoge snelheid richting Duitsland scheurt in een poging om aan aanhouding te ontkomen.
Als ik of mijn auto met 180 ergens geflitst wordt, krijg ik post, zo simpel is dat. Dan komt de zaak bij het OM terecht en kan je daar uitleggen en aantonen (!) wat er aan de hand was, zoals zo'n ziekenhuisopname. Misschien strijken ze over hun hart, maar het kan ook zijn van niet.
