In this video I demonstrate how to make a quick deployment ridgeline. Useful for quick shelter setups for bad weather Follow me on Instagram @ Rob_outdoorz Email: Rob_v2@yahoo.com
I make my prusik loops longer and place several over hand knots spaced apart and one knot at end. I loop them back on themselves to form a soft shackle. (Prusik soft shackle)
I'm going to make about 57 of these! No seriously tho, I've been wanting to do this for my tarp and hammock set up. Thank you for sharing. As far as the over hand knot vs the bowline knot, I learned after my knot challenge that the biggest difference is when pulled tight, you can still untie the bowline knot ALOT easier than you can the overhand knot. Other than that, they are very similar and used for the same reason.
I love how simple this is, thanks for sharing.
Awesome job.
Never really thought of this setup. Thanks a lot! Keep them coming Rob!
Anytime and thank you for watching
The fewer knots I have to tie the better. This system will definitely work for me
@@giggigidy6998 that's great to hear that! Thanks for checking this one out

@@adventureswithken1983 yeah I love these setups, so much easier to use. I've notices that when tying boline knots, it's definitely easier to untie
You are good.
Good information, great life hack for camping

Can't wait to try this out. See you next time.
@@lemarquis843 that's great, lmk how it goes
Great video! I do agree with you ha wing paracord as a ridge line is kinda bulky but I do like having multi use out of the paracord if I do need it.
@@KappelleOutdoors yeah exactly bro
Thanks
Great video, I was out of town this weekend I could had you use some of your set ups this past weekend!!!
@@jggm13 definitely try it on the next trip out
