Hi Adrian, I missed him setting off with the tractor and trailer!! As far as I understand is he did the correct thing and just let the tractor run out down the hill. The best way is just to concentrate on keeping it straight and let it run out. That would be, No brakes, No clutch pressed. (In other words, feet off) To touch brakes may cause a sliding of the trailer and tractor. It then may have over turned as it went sideways. If there was no room to run out (a wall, a cliff etc.) then things are different. All was well and he has learned from the experience. Thank Your for your Question. Richard.

Mathew, We have tried it the other way around. Orange side up. On the new roll it is rolled so the orange side is down. To roll it out with orange side up, it is bad to roll out as the roll is upside down. You are probably correct. We have tried it both ways and it doesn't seem to make ay difference. How did the new driver manage to lock both back wheels and skid so far, did he have his foot on the clutch?
