A combo machine has always been my dream! But here in Mississippi, ctl hasnt caught on. We're a tree length state. We're not set up for ctl. Out timber has so much under grouth in it makes it difficult for machines like that to operate. Even our trucking is different. We're set up to hot load trucks. Our trucks do not have cranes on them. I been watching ctl for yrs, and I love the fact that 1 machine can do everything. 1 operator.
The timberpro forwarders, especially the d models, are very smooth, but since they have an independent hydraulic pump for the swing of the cab, it can be a little touchy to get used to at first.
I have been running timber pro's for over 10 years now and if you want a honest opinion from a operator point of view they are a sturdy handling machine but for what they cost there is next to no cab comfort it is big enough but the seat is to high even when it's all the way down and the joy sticks are to big it seems like it's designed for guy's 6'2 or bigger im 5'8 with big hands and find it hard to sit and be comfortable and yes there chairs suck also i used to runn a 05 timber jack processor and i could operate for hrs on end it sat so nice but unfortunately not the timberpro it's just not what you pay for
Nice to see what this looks like from outside the cab. Nice looking machine
I know what you mean
