He shouldn't have had the gem, the carbonadium sword or having the feat of killing the Marvel Universe since it was an alternate version of him that did it. In a way, it's sort of like Goku vs Superman. They gave Goku Super-Saiyan Four, the Power Pole, Senzu Beans, Golden Ki Dragon Punch, absorbing the Spirit Bomb and using the Kaio-ken as a Super-Saiyan, all of which are considered as non-canon. Although those things are not normally used, they are still part of the character's arsenal. In Goku's case, it still wasn't enough and it came right down to ki versus solar power. Considering that Superman had an unending supply that constantly recharged itself, it was apparent who was going to run out of gas first. Same with Ryu against Scorpion once he was dragged into Hell. Scorpion's power rises the longer he stays there. Same with Deadpool. Even without the sword and Infinity Gem, his Healing Factor would have BY FAR OUTLASTED Deathstroke's.

D180223 I wouldn't say that Deathstroke was downplayed, and for the most part, he scored a lot more hits and such on Deadpool. But like in Batman Vs Spiderman or Goku Vs. Superman, it would have been one QUICK fight, if Spiderman or Superman had gone FULL OUT from the start. Batman's armor wouldn't have even come close to protecting him if Spiderman had punched him at full strength, especially if he hit Batman on that exposed jaw. Superman would have VAPORIZED Goku with his Heat Vision, LONG BEFORE he even went Super-Saiyan. The fight is simply for entertainment. It could have gone down in thousands of ways, and in some cases, Deathstroke would have gotten the upper hand, but the odds still favored Deadpool. Same with all the others. And also keep in mind, it is that unpredictability factor that often plays a substantial role. You CAN'T plan for every contingency. And to make things completely fair, you can't have prior knowledge of your opponent, (except for that TMNT Battle Royale, I mean, it's unavoidable that Leonardo would know his teammates' weaknesses, that's why he's the leader). Deathstroke is awesome, no doubt. But you have to step back and look at it objectively.
