I've just moved from a Renault to a Kia Sportage K4 and I love it, the seating position and tech spec is great, it's really comfortable to drive and the 7 Year warranty were the big selling points for me
I like Kia on my 5th Kia just got a 191 Sportage GT line. Will say the are responsible priced for the spec to come in. Not to mention the 7 year warranty . Where can you go wrong for the price👍
Good vehicle now is the Sportage(old ones were terrible) and here in Australia you do get the petrol versions, it probably lacks a bit of power for Aus conditions and passing other vehicles requires a bit of planning and it wont be winning any sprint contests. Well equipped though and reasonably priced, bit more refined than the Tuscon IMO although the Tuscon has got a lot better. Wouldnt buy a Nissan either...junk now they have merged with Renault and their service/backup is poor in Aus.
I bought one and it's great. But there IS a petrol version, at least in Sweden. On the downside it has all technical stuff EXCEPT adaptive cruise control. Unless you pay a lot extra.
Great review as always - delighted Kia are in the market. One thing though and I know it’s really anal mentioning this 🤓 but never close a boot lid from the side, use the built in handle or close from the middle - they do get out of shape in time otherwise.
Interesting review. Not a 'car' I would ever consider buying though. Awful thing. That €34,000 gets me a much higher quality 2, maybe 3, year old car and that would be my choice every time.

Thanks . I'm always closing my boot from the same side . I'll be more vigilant in future . Thanks again ,
Kieron
The built in handle is at one side. How do you use it and not use it at the same time?
why is the wheel on the right side ??
Ireland, like the UK drives on the left.
My sportage is very very slow
