What's EM? Can someone help me understand?
emerging markets
Ever since this aired, the Mexican peso has devalued by 12% due to the election outcome. Like two years' worth of carry trade gains erased in one month. Great call, buddy. Also, saying the dollar is strong because it is used as a medium of exchange globally is a shitty argument. The dollar has experienced many bear markets in the past while still being the preferred exchange currency between countries. Being the global currency has no influence whatsoever on the value of the dollar. What makes the dollar valuable is how many countries decide to SAVE in dollars, and that is plummeting right before our eyes. Central banks have never bought so much gold as they have in the past two years. And it only keeps rising. Ever since the US and Europe seized Russian assets, the reserve status has been called into question by most nations, even those who are aligned with Western foreign policy. It is becoming increasingly likely that, in the future, nations will use a mix of gold, silver, and bitcoin as reserve currencies, rather than the US dollar, which can be confiscated at will, depending on which politician is in the White House.
US dollar will be a tissue paper in coming decades😂
no, I dont think so but it will decreased its value and usage.
