Wow your inbuilt corset tutorial in the best so far!!…it’s so neat and pretty…I also love the fact that your thumbnails is not someone elses from Pinterest…what u see in the thumbnail is what it really is…thank u so much for another video. ❤️
This is the tutorial that I've been looking for. I used your tutorial to make my corset loops, they always come out amazing . You are a wonderful teacher. Thank you 🧡
Love your work! Quick question…when I am drafting the skirt to sew to the corset, do I make the skirt the actual waist size of my client or make it 4 inches smaller to match the amount the corset will cinch the waist?
Thank you I would say leave the skirt waist the actual size. When u are taking inches off the corset seams to it will just make the corset part small here is a example, when u get a chance look at the picture in video the corset is 2 1/8 away from the center back so if u make it smaller as in taking it in to cinch the waist the skirt is the actual waist size the corset will just be smaller and the will probably mean it will be more than 2 1/8 away from the center back. So sewing the skirt and corset together the lacing bar (the black piece with the eyelets) that will be a little further away from the center back than mines. Hopefully this helped ❤️
Draping is 3d and flat pattermaking is 2d when draping on the dressform it doesn’t have to be reduced because it’s on the body…but once it’s laid on the table and u trace the muslin on paper it becomes flat pattens….that’s when it can be reduced to the persons measurements.
I have a question pls, when doing an in built corset or a corset dress and you snitch the waist of the corset top by 2inches, do you have to snatch the waits of the skirts too? Cause I did an in built corset and the waist of the skirt Is bigger after I close it. Any help
For this situation yes you do because you made the corset smaller than your waist and when u pull the lacing it will snatch your waist that will make the skirt waist big because your sucked in the corset
Pls could you make a tutorial on how to draft your corset pattern. I wanna practice with your patterns, your sewing is the best and very professional.. 🙏🙏
Thanks for this video, I've been looking for this tutorial. Would you please make a video tutorial of a flat breast corset. A corset without breast cups. One that's more flat with some V shape. I don't know how to name it properly. I hope you understand. It's be better if I were to show you a picture.
You can make the yoke after making the corset if you want or make the yoke at the time your draping or drafting the pattern. If you do it after then the person has to be in from of you, and you can put the illusion mesh on there body and make the yoke by pinning it to the corset that’s made already. If you put it on the front you will have to put appliqués on top so the seam is not shown. Or you can sew the yoke in the back of the top of the corset.

Did you reduce the waist measurement since you reduced the corset waist hope I make sense

Mom please, but what if I want to attached a yoke ❤

God bless you 🙏 mom ❤
What if the person have big burst like 44 what to do with the corset
If the bust is bigger than my dressform I will pad it up..and if I drafted the pattern then I will grade up.
@@drapingclass101 please what boning did you use? Sewable boning?
Spiral metal boning
Very educated
