Berbatov has to be in the conversation for one of the most underrated pl players ever!!
In terms of ability one of the best ever but he wasn't as consistent as the other top players thats why he's not discussed in the same bracket as players like rooney, aguero etc they had the ability but also the work rate and mentality. Bervatov was often frustrating to watch he would sometimes just give up and walk around not trying
My issue with Berbatov is that he was not very effective in counter-attacks Like Tevez. He often choose safe option

Rooney's better because it's against a Top5 team (Top3 to be exact but Berbatov only scored 1 goal in his 4 year ManUtd career vs a Top5 team in all domestic major competitions). Plus no ChampionsLeague knockout goals....and only scored in 3 ChampionsLeague games & went a whole 3 years without a CL goal from late 2008 to late 2011.

@@koxxx3251 И мен ме дразни Фергюсън, но тук не си прав! Той го извади 3 минути преди края на мача, защото срещата беше вече решена и по този начин, излизайки от терена, целия стадион имаше възможност да ръкопляска за момент на Берба. Тоест тук треньорът му направи евала.
Вече отделен въпрос, че в по-късен етап същият този треньор се обърна срещу него и спря да го пуска да играе, което беше супер тъпо.

i loved berbatov what a player and united fans moaned about him.. all back in a time when liverpools only seasonal hope and success came from trying to beat united in a league game for well over two decades! now they are both shut out financially to the robber barons with no fans city2012 and chelsk05 who started the demise of the premiership

He may have been generally crap in big games (and even this isn't as big as people think because Liverpool finished 7th,6th,8th,7th from 2009/10 to 2012/13 so they were averaging 7th) and for that reason I get offended by people relating Berbatov with players like Cantona and Bergkamp just due to appearing to have similar playing styles and/or persona's when those others were big game players & way more consistent but Berbatov was better at heading than Bergkamp that's about it.
