How to re-pair a salus RT510TX

We replaced a mechanical clock for an Ideal Logic boiler with a salus RT510TX, unfortunately it became unpaired so we popped out to re-pair the receiver and transmitter and this is how you do it.

Don't panic! The batteries have simply worn out. This controller will show a low battery indication for a period of time and if you don't change the batteries it will simply power out when the batteries are spent. Inserting new batteries doesn't make the unit power up. It needs to be left (with no batteries in) for ten minutes - so that the onboard capacitor loses its charge (dunno why). Then insert new batteries and the unit should power up. You may need to pair it the receiver again (using the pairing button) and you will need to reprogram all the settings again (because the onboard capacitor was drained). The manufacturer doesn't do themselves any favours because this is not mentioned anywhere in the instructions! and it will happen when the batteries die out if you don't replace them immediately when the low batt warning appears.

The red light won't come on at all on the boiler. I've tried reseting it but no joy. Any ideas?

It works just fine without the middle one. In your boiler it is the grey that the switch must be on. That's what I did with mine and the pairing was completed following the directions in the video.
