My Dad bought a 70 98 from a Doctor in 1976. We had that car about 5 years. I remember that car very well. Big 455. When Dad would floor it you could hear that distinct 4 Barrell carb and that engine growl.
This is a beautiful commercial. It harkens back to the a time when the our road ways were only about 10 to 20 years old and the suburbs had only been built 12 years earlier. In other words, people did not endure the level of gridlock that the roads curretly offer many metropolitan drivers that travel along a beltway within a tri-state area like Washington DC, Maryland and VA. At that time, a car was truly an escape, an opportunity to enjoy, an open road. Today, vehicles equipped with climate control and expensive sound systems are more of a relaxation chamber from the busy life brought about by the day's acitivty.

I learned to drive in a '72, same color. Kissed my first boy in that car.
