I'm absolutely thrilled to see your creation!! after living many years in Mexico. These little Amphibians live in a lake in centre of Mexico City. The Aztec language is "Nahuatl" sounds like Na-wu--a-tl .. and these Axolotl's sound like "A-show-l-tl". Nahuatl is an interesting language and completely different than Mayan.
Thank you! These little Amphibians are so adorable! I couldn't wait to create this. I wanted the external gills to be a contrasting color and it took me a bit to figure out how to do it. I'm so thrilled with how he turned out! My husband is Mexican and I've always been fascinated with Aztec and Mayan history.
@@craftingwithsierra I absolutely love💜 how you coloured the gills too😊💜. and we definitely have something else in common too.. I met my husband while living in México, he’s from México City. I was living in the Riviera Maya then and commuting to CDMX. We finally settled in the Riviera Maya for 8 years, now we are back living in 🇨🇦
I did mine about a couple weeks ago and researched this amphibian. So happy Let's resin did a mold of them as they're an endangered species in their natural habitat. Yours turned out great!
I just love this mold! It is different from any mold I've ever used. I am so happy I was able to achieve a two tone Axolotl. Happy Crafting!
He is very cute!! Love it!
Thank you!❤️
