Lmao Rosie is so in touch with how successful lesbian/bi character relationships work. When she discusses her hatred of Paily, I feel her on an emotional level. Bonus points if she actually ships Faith/Buffy. Because we react to the chemistry between the actors and not just the storylines.
Okay I'm not really on the same page with you guys when it's about hating Paily. Emily was the only gay character on the show so obviously I wanted the best for her. She loved Ali from the beginning so I definitely shipped them. But even though they did end up together I felt it was really forced. The show was ending and they were just _put together._ Ali was forcefully impregnated with Em's child wtf! Believe me I'm not saying Em and Paige were perfect together because _they were not._ But the last talk Paige had with Alison before leaving made me think that she _really_ did care for her.
Also there are _so many_ straight characters who are in relationship with each other (in my mind of course) I can't even say.
Ipshita T I prefer Emison but in all honestly, there really wasn’t anything wrong with Paily. Regardless of the storylines they went down with either character, I think a lot of people responded to the chemistry between the actors more which was what I meant. I love Lindsey Shaw and had a crush on her growing up with Ned’s Declassified but for whatever reason, it seemed like Sasha’s acting brought out more in Shay Mitchell (in my opinion). I don’t know why but I think that’s why a lot of people liked Emison even when Ali was still in that gray area where we had no idea if she was just manipulating Emily or actually cared. I agree that the Emison storyline deserved more screen time. They had incredibly slow and small moments the entire series and then it was in your face when most of us Emison fans really wanted a little more to them after all of that build up. If they had decided to never go the Emison route after the time jump, I would have been fine with Paily being end game. But they did and Sasha and Shay’s chemistry was hard to match.

I seriously felt validated by Rosie for pointing out what I've always thought. Ironically, Stevie is actually friends with Natasha.

The best part about Vanity is Michelle who plays Vanessa is openly gay in real life and you really felt the raw emtions of her coming out through the storyline, It felt so real! Often on tv gay characters are played by straight people so for one half of vanity to actually be gay is why i think they're such a popular and important tv partnership!
