Wow Mr Carl, you put so much in just a few minutes, musical history, personal experience, fretboard analysis, and your friendly disposition. Thanks a million.
Hey Carl, call me stupid but I literally just discovered this channel. Huge fan now !! After playing for 28 years I might have to learn some technical stuff on music. I think I came to the right channel and man, you can play the blues !! Greetz from The Netherlands
Hey Carl, since I saw you in a video together with Tim Pierce, I am so glad having subscribed to your channel. You definitely are on the list of guitarist I love the most. And it is highly important to listen to what experienced players as you have to tell us. Most of you guys learned from the old folks and I think, before starting to learn all that highly advanced stuff players like you have to offer, it is a good advice to look at your guitar heros first and learn from them first. Cheers Carl. Have wonderful day.
You know what that lick reminds me of? Another Freddie King song - the first three notes of "The Welfare Turns Its Back On You" (before he starts singing). Similar kind of thing.
Carl and Allan Holdsworth went to a concert of Steve Morse and Mc Laughlin. How cool is that.
