Unusual venue and last time I was in Manchester was when we went to see Onslaught, my favourite UK thrash metal band. We saw them in Newcastle 2 days previously, enjoyed them (again) so much, we jumped on the train for the Manchester gig. A real good vibe inside the cathedral and it did look very good inside for the bands to play, especially with a decent turn out. Nice one on the gaw win, I was in it as well, disappointed I did not win but good to hear you did win. Cheers Alan

The first band it's new for me. But I love Ash Code. And Corpus Delicti is awesome! Happy you had a great time and shared it with us. Loved how they decorated the Cathedral too. Mind blowing! In Sweden the metal scene are very big. But I miss the Goths and the punkheads. Awww... I am happy to watch your reaction about the win. Enjoy the gift card! Thanks Sanniz , first time hearing Ash Code they were great! Corpus Delicti gave a very powerful intense performance , it was a great Goth gathering. Metal is the biggest scene here too , thanks again , I ordered my sweater , take care 😊🦇🦇🖤🖤

Yeah I loved it , was one of those special times , everything was perfect, bands, cathedral location and such a great audience, I think the 10pm finish was great for people getting back too, and thanks , best wishes 🖤🖤🦇🦇
@thehealthanarchist yeah! The 10pm finish was really good because people could either head to the pub if they wanted to carry on the night, or head to bed. My friends and I came up from way down South so we'd been up really early so it was good to head home and re-charge. Bands were fantastic though. Corpus Delicti sounded just like their recordings! wow!
Wow, Manchester Cathedral has changed a bit since I was last there! (For the better) Quality gig there John, very nice. Is that the moon behind you at 3.30? .......just so special 🤘
Thanks , its the first gig I've been to there , they have been putting on events for a while now , but this was the first Goth gig, it did look great! nice to see its use moving with the times. Yes that is the moon , I didn't notice it until I was editing, lucky shot. Best wish's Gilly 🦇🦇🖤🖤
Oh, I have seen Ash Code at Hermannsdenkmal Detmold. But your concert area is even a bit better. In my area the goth scene is getting older. The rock and metal and grunge etc scene is younger. Its also very sad that the mixed alternative countryside discos in my area Northwestern Germany... often with tavern/pub ore kino ore both... died out. The mixture was great... from real freaks to village grandpa sitting at the bar.... cousre there was no good place to go that evening to drink something. People came from even an hour driving. This time wont cum back. So in the next bigger city you have only goth, rock etc nights at disco... no very mixed nights..... and no alternative tavern ore pub are to sit and talk real nice. Thats sad.
Good you saw Ash Code, I enjoyed their show. I was surprised by the amount of younger people at this gig, as goth is generally older people here. Sad that some of the events have died out where you are , lets hope things improve. Best wishes 🖤🖤🦇🦇

Wow, I never heard of a cathedral putting on gigs before. Great idea. I can imagine them studying lyric sheets before giving bands the okay, though. 😅
