Over two years ago we were commissioned to create an artwork for the façade of the Lille Opera House for Video Mapping Festival - little did we know that our world as we know it would soon crumble and never be the same again. After two years of living in a pandemic, we finally got to showcase Micromonumental Mapping: The Essence of Creation as it was intended to be seen - on large scale and shared with an in-person audience. The Essence of Creation
“Every act of creation is first an act of destruction.” ― Picasso
Creation is building and demolishing. Creation is constant magic how chaos becomes order, and establishes a new path for life. However, besides birth there is also decay where fragments or particles of life become something else or disappear from the world. These parallel life cycles follow one another perpetually day by day as the epiphany of existence.
Inspired by the national divinity of the Greeks, Apollo, who has been recognized as a god of archery, music and dance, truth and prophecy, healing and diseases, the Sun and light, poetry, war and death, the artwork conveys this complexity by using the symbolic and physical elements of the building. The story of continuous construction and demolition portrays life itself.

No wayyyyy. Guys this is amazing!! The scaled down version at Wonderspaces was enough to wow me but now I wish K could experience this one.
