Wow how did I not know about this? Immediately catchy with some awesome melodies and good heaviness. Frontiers certainly know how to take my ABSOLUTE favorite underrated symphonic metal queens and giving them a chance to shine. Their recent projects with Anette Olzon and Ailyn are a dream come true for me. Both of their eras in their respective bands (Sirenia and Nightwish) were my favorites.

While I’d love for her to use more operatic vocals, you have to realize that constantly singing in that style can put a lot of stress on her vocal cords. Especially on tour too. Plus when she does sing in the operatic style, it makes it more special that way in my opinion lol
The only new era Sirenia song I like is Into The Night. That’s a masterpiece and I’d love to hear Ailyn’s voice on it. New singer is of course talented but doesn’t excite me in the way Ailyn’s does.

Para Sirenita? 🤣 Además Sirenia era ya demasiado repetitivo, en el último disco Morten ahogó la voz de Ailyn en la mala mezcla que hizo, y no paraba de ponerle tonos de ardilla. Con Her Chariot Awaits, sus colaboraciones y ahora Lunarian, Ailyn ha demostrado de sobra que tiene un amplio registro vocal increíble y agradable al oído.
