Frontiers is pleased to announce the upcoming release of Lunarian's debut album, "Burn The Beauty" on September 9, 2022. Lunarian is a new musical endeavor centered around the stunningly talented vocalist/songwriter Ailyn. "Burn The Beauty" is a showcase for the immense voice of Ailyn, which she has displayed in her work with Trail Of Tears, Sirenia, Her Chariot Awaits (her project with Mike Orlando of Adrenaline Mob), Heart Healer (Magnus Karlsson's rock-metal opera), and more. For Lunarian, Ailyn teamed up with producer Aldo Lonobile (Secret Sphere, Archon Angel, Sweet Oblivion) to write songs for an engaging, mesmerizing symphonic metal album. And that is exactly what you get with "Burn The Beauty".
Spanish singer/songwriter Ailyn has been performing professionally since the early '00s. She started off as a solo artist before becoming the lead vocalist of the popular Norwegian symphonic metal act Sirenia. Ailyn was a member of Sirenia until 2016, releasing four albums with them. She then took a short hiatus from her musical career before announcing her return with Her Chariot Awaits, a collaboration with Adrenaline Mob guitarist Mike Orlando. The band released one album, a self-titled debut via Frontiers Music Srl. Since 2020, she has also been working with Norwegian gothic/symphonic black metal band Trail Of Tears as well, handling soprano vocals for the band.
In working with Frontiers on Her Chariot Awaits, Ailyn and the label developed a good working relationship and eventually brought her together with producer Aldo Lonobile to discuss the possibility of making a more symphonic metal sounding album compared to the contemporary hard rock sound of Her Chariot Awaits. AIlyn headed to Italy to work with Aldo and record her vocals and thus "Burn The Beauty" by Lunarian came to life.
Fans of Ailyn's previous work in the symphonic metal genre will have much to be delighted with on the debut album from Lunarian!

@@davidnc9 I love Emma in Sirenia too honestly. While I’d love for her to use more operatic vocals, you have to realize that constantly singing in that style can put a lot of stress on her vocal cords. Especially on tour too. Plus when she does sing in the operatic style, it makes it more special that way in my opinion lol
The only new era Sirenia song I like is Into The Night. That’s a masterpiece and I’d love to hear Ailyn’s voice on it. New singer is of course talented but doesn’t excite me in the way Ailyn’s does.

Great vocals, great looking woman, but the songwriting itself is very bland. Sounds like a bunch of heavy guitar riffs kinda tossed together without much thought or musicality.

@@vanrijn944 Out of tune just means they don't use auto-tune. Many consider that a good thing. What does professionalism matter anyway, as long as she's successfull. She's not much of a singer, but she was perfect for Sirenia. This, however, was pretty avarage.

Really loving this! Got me re-inspired into listening to Symphonic/Melodic Metal again.
Wow how did I not know about this? Immediately catchy with some awesome melodies and good heaviness.
Frontiers certainly know how to take my ABSOLUTE favorite underrated symphonic metal queens and giving them a chance to shine. Their recent projects with Anette Olzon and Ailyn are a dream come true for me. Both of their eras in their respective bands (Sirenia and Nightwish) were my favorites.

Para Sirenita? 🤣 Además Sirenia era ya demasiado repetitivo, en el último disco Morten ahogó la voz de Ailyn en la mala mezcla que hizo, y no paraba de ponerle tonos de ardilla. Con Her Chariot Awaits, sus colaboraciones y ahora Lunarian, Ailyn ha demostrado de sobra que tiene un amplio registro vocal increíble y agradable al oído.
