Also include 2015-2020 GMC Yukons, Yukon XL Denalis, Suburbans, Cadillac Escalades, GMC Sierras, and Chevy Silverados. On year 2017 they all start taking the super expensive R1234.
Quick question, ac leaked out at the same spot but my fans arent working either unless i unplug the low pressure switch they work at full speed and when i hook it back up they slow down and turn off 😮
Are you replacing the condenser because its leaking? if so just make sure your compressor clutch spins by hand with THE ENGINE OFF if so it should be okay.
Condensers just the part is a couple hundred depending on where you get them from , Labor I believe is an hour. I think some of these trucks had r134a or r1234yf, If its the later the freon is expensive. Pricing depends on location but probably if its an r134a less than 500 , If its r1234yf could be 100 or 200 more.
Awesome video. Thanks for this. Just replaced on a sheriff Tahoe with a brush guard. This made it a lot easier
Thank You, Glad it helped!
Curious what the labor time on this was. Our shop used to pay 3hrs when they first had this design, now they pay an hour only.

Does it have to be in a vacuum while changing the condenser or you just proving you recovered the refrigerant?
Should i change the ac compressor too?

Looking at probably having to do this to my '17 hoe. Any idea what kindof ballpark cost i'd be looking at?

Dealerships easily want $1,300, many street corner shops want about $575-$700 or lower depending on what city you're in. And that's Detroit prices!
My 2017 Tahoe is leaking from the exact same spot.. looks like a weld.
