Awesome video Robbie! Can't wait for the next one. Water looked great and the troll was worth the wait for the 3 yellows! Was definitely a good decision to swap the old mate to a purple colour!
I can't wait to use lures again, bit dirty at Menindee for lures at the moment. On a positive note we got about 70 yellas in 2 days, mostly small fish (which is a great sign) but a few keepers all on bait
@@paulsoutbackgardenaustrali7674 nah, I’ve never seen a catfish at Menindee, not even sure if they are around. It’s mostly yellas, cod, silver perch and carp. We got all yellas and 4 carp all up
Good work Robbie, brilliant video as always! A mate and I went out to the local lake on the weekend and managed a few red fin off the the cast/ troll on the Oar-gee 60mm plow and my mate caught a cracking 74cm cod as well to highlight the day
Thanks mate, and you really can’t beat this weather! It would of been nice to see some gold in net like yourself. But that’s what the next session is for
Great vid Robbie. I watched the last 5 minutes a couple of times just for the beautiful light of the sunset and the glass water. Spectacular. They look like handy lures in that size. I’d love to see how they go on a school of redfin when the water warms up. I’m thinking they’ll be lethal. Thanks for sharing Love your work
Hi Robbie great video as always. I love fishing for yellowbelly and cod. I am privileged to be able to fish one of my Dads mates dam that is 20 acres and has cod to 80-90cm and used to have yellowbelly to 60cm. We are restocking the dam this year with 1000 cod and 500 yellowbelly.
Yes it is a great privilege , I love fishing the topwater for the cod unfortunately the numbers of cod have went down and the yellas have died out due to old age and the cod have slowly died of and a few have been poached unfortunately but that is why we have stocked it this year with Natives being stocked in December and both species of trout being stocked this April.
Red and black orgie.. Sounds raunchy lol. Great video old chap. I caught 1 small cod while trying for yellas. Ps I gave you a shout out in our last video
@@robbiefishing Holy crap! What a monster. I was so sure that I have seen all of your videos containing kayaks. I better go back and watch them all again. The smile on your face shadows the scar on your leg by a mile. Haha Keep em coming mate, great work.
Depending on the issue, kayaking can be very good for the back if done regularly as it strengthens the core and that is very good for your back unless it hurts too much and it is a disc issue. Just a comment, I am in no way educated apart from experience of strengthening my core and back pain being a lot less
Hey mate thanks for the feedback. I'm no expert but I think that kayaking is excellent exercise right across the board. Unfortunately my issue is with a couple of disks in my lower back.
Ohh yeah another Robbie fishing adventure this one looks great I want to get a yak soon for my channel 👍🏼 Not biggest fan of old mates tackle But I don't mind an oar-gee hahaha In all seriousness these look like some ripper lures, I have lost most of mine of the years so I think I might get a few of them mini old mates PS that oar-gee you picked up is pops favourite he has got so many cod and yellas on the exact same one. As always keep up the great work Robbie 👍🏼👍🏼 I went redfin fishing for the first time today after all the redfin vids you do finally got me inspired to go for a cruise to the nearest redfin spot about 45mins away Got 5 in about 40mins not a bad effort at all will have that vid up by the end of the week I reckon 🙂
Thanks so much mate. That lure is now sitting on top of a fence post near Thoona. I sat it there to test out the focus on a camera and totally forgot to pick it up. LOL
Hey robbie, any recommendations on yella lures? Ik the old mate are good but any cheaper ones? How much are these and what colours are the best? Keep up the great work and tight lines bro
Thanks Toby. I love the small sized old mates. The size 2 stump jumpers are a great option as well and are well priced and available is most tackle shops. I like to have a purple and a green one with me at all times. Haha
What a great way to spend a glorious day 👍Pepsi max rules! Tried going back to Coca Cola and it tastes awful 😂😂 serious question, with the size of the tail on the yellow belly are they a fast fish? Quick off the mark to catch its prey
Thanks mate. Tastes better with Scotch in it hahaha They ate very hard fighters mate. They don't hit a lure as hard as a Murray cod but once hooked they pull 3 times as hard.
Hi buddy, did you buy it from tee-spring? Thank you for buying it. You will need to contact tee-spring mate. They handle everything. It is a print on demand site. All I do is provide them with my logo and they handle everything. I know from other people that bought them that it has taken around 4 to 6 weeks. Robbie, soon you'll have motorboats roaring along the lakes which could be rather exciting in your boat.
Haha I'm expecting it mate. I can handle it.

Thanks Ben. Sounds like double Dutch doesn't it. New Old mates. LOL
Thanks for sharing Robbie. The old yella is one beautiful fish.

Do you reckon they'll cast as well as the bigger model Old Mate?
I reckon they will cast as accurately, but nit as far simply be use they are smaller.
When your trolling how do you not make the line interfere with the paddle because when I troll for Redfin the line gets caught on the paddle?
Hey mate I need to modify my paddling a little bit I think a longer fishing rod to teach out further would be a good idea.
Anyone else transfixed by the rod tip?
Hahahaha Me when I am trolling. LOL
Where’s the links
