I love Neelam she’s so graceful and intelligent! However, mild depression and depression ARE a big deal. Depression and mental health disorders are not something you just “get over”. It is a health crisis, an imbalance of chemicals and hormones in the body and brain, and it should be taken seriously and looked at professionally like any other illness. If you or someone you know is suffering in a “low period”, please know, that your suffering is valid, and let me be your reminder, that you are not a failure for not being able to just “get over it”. Our older generations need to do better in learning new and crucial societal norms which are changing rapidly for the better.
You’ve said it so well-mental health is a serious issue and should always be treated with care and understanding. 💙 It’s so important to remind people that their struggles are valid and that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Thank you for shedding light on this and encouraging such a meaningful conversation. 🙏✨
Grew up watching Neelam's films. She was such an innocent, delicate, pretty, nimble-footed and damn good artist. Good to see her enjoying her second phase of acting career. More power to her.
