Traplover7 DDT and Magical Explosion sided into one another. This is meta that made me fall in love with transition side decks. Beautiful times. Great memories.
I was at Houston, the Ohm OTK was there. It wasn't as prevalent, but it was an evil thing that I found myself on the receiving end of enough to screw over any remote chance I had of moving on
Would you ever think to do a story about goat control? I didnt get into yugioh until the middle of the 5D's era and stopped in the middle of the zexal era. I always use to hear people talk so much about goat control and goat format but no one ever fully explained what it was. In addition, I heard that goat control was one of the reasons why a lot of old time cards of the past got banned. I love when you do these stories because it gives a viewpoint of what the early days of the game was like.
I remember running this Deck too. Good times, this was a fun format. I was running DDT, then switched to this after it was shared to me by Erin. But then I thought that the Deck would get hit so I went back to DDT. I loved running it because it was different and involved Spellcasters as the main base for it.
erin diaz's ohm otk was savage even up to when he lost the a sjc finals to i believe jerry wang. Most current players don't know yugioh during the sjc days!!
Papa Cap could you dedicate an entire video to the Reign Dark Armed Dragon From DAD RETURN to the END of Tele DAD. Then his come back in Chaos Dragons etc etc. PLEASE
This best era of yugioh. Phantom Darkness is still my favorite set of all time. I had just started playing competitively the year before. I miss those days
It's funny, when Phantom Darkness came out I grabbed as many ulti Beginnings as possible for use in my on deck and - while they never spiked very high - got a nice value in trades after the SJC.
i played an Elemental Hero deck back then, was consistantly getting to 3rd or second with it back then in a 15 person locals. this was without tempist or steam healer eather. though i did have 3 mirical fusions and an electrum. i miss when that deck was good. i normaly lost to a guy who ran eather dimond dude or as he called them, Bannish Heros. i was like 13 or something like that so i was just playing to have fun, and it really was back then. - Danger!
How does the loop work? The text on DMOC states that at the end phase the card is normal or special summoned you can target 1 spell card, so don't you only get back dimensional fusion at the end phase?
Beachside it’s because I’m New York where Erin is from we call him Kaiba he’s a real cool guy and worthy of the name he has this crazy blue eyes card that he customized too lol
I don't get why shadowpriestess is so highly regarded. Isn't cannon soldier better as you can search it with Sangan and summon it with mystic tomato? If you have an infinite loop going on Priestess' higher damage is irrelevant.
Kaiba was all about power and control in a duel. If he could build a deck that incorporated the Ohm burn damage, it wouldn't take him long to bury someone.
"Darker than Black" in the title and no Yin or Hei in the thumbnail? Mistakes were made, opportunities were missed.
this omg so much this
lol
magical explosion FTK, Diamond Dude Turbo, and Kaiba Control FTK.... holy degeneracy yet some diversity.

Remember kids Erin Diaz is the original upstart goblin

I definitely remember this deck.
An A.I duelist in Yu-Gi-Oh! Online 2 actually used a Shadow Priestess Cannon Soldier FTK/OTK deck.
Oh "kaiba" remembering when he would go to locals.

WOW! I LOVE these meta deck stories. Keep up the good work Cap.
It’s funny Erin is known as Kaiba where I’m from hence Kaiba control and a real good friend of mine thanks for the trip down memory lane cap!
Awesome deck! I played the super mech deck back then. The regional used to be on the college park MD campus.

Ghaleonh41 you know Erin
One thing I'm curious about is why not run cannon soldier? He is dark as well and his lower attack points makes him more easily searchable.
So that’s why DMOC was erratad lol
I remember hearing about the Priestess OTK, but I never heard it explained or came across it.

It feels odd to think Phantom Darkness came out a decade ago.
Haven't click on a Cap G video so fast in my life. Gotta go Fast! Sonic! Gotta go Faster Faster Fafafafafafaster Kappa G X!
Awesome .. didnt knew it ... pls go on with videos about the history of yugioh ... great job :)
My favorite format of all time. I believe that was also the year Chris bowling won nationals.
Its weird hearing the idea of turning your grave into a toolbox being this revolutionary thing.
this back when i was playing dark worlds and omg that kaiba control deck was crazy asf
but not as dark as Ca.....nah, joke got old
As a Cyber Dragon player. Glad to see Cyber Valley contributing to an actual tournamemt finale win
I was playing it on the playground with my Horus/jinzo turbo

Romeo Barnes yea things were level.
Sure, because $300 Secret Rares were so healthy for the game...
300$? and here I was thinking ash blossom had a ridiculous price..
_ ZORRO _ yup Allure of Darkness and Dark Armed Dragon were both $250+ depending on where you went
nah when honest came out in the next set Light of darkness thats when shit hit the fan

i be ftking on master duel with this card in 2023 😂👍 awesome vid m8
spicy thumbnail *kreygasm*
05-08 is the best era in yugioh
cap can you post a link to the thumbnail pic?
Cap G the next Galacticgod
Dice Roll format
Isnt darker than black an anime 😂😂😂
Richard Phan yes. It's pretty good
The control means you had control of the field, ftk is when you win on your first turn, but where Kaiba fits in?
There's a UA-camr named Ohmwrecker
darkest SJC *TriHard*

Thats the new version of the card the old version was better ;)
Before the latest errata, it added the Spell immediately.
Why is the other name Kaiba control?
Rabid Vampy ran Kaunas signature. Spell cards to solely overwhelm
Aeron Roberts thanks
Beachside it’s because I’m New York where Erin is from we call him Kaiba he’s a real cool guy and worthy of the name he has this crazy blue eyes card that he customized too lol

Finally good artwork
Darker than Goku Black
Hey, whatever happened to Jerry Wang?
Darker than Black...TriHard
Fucking great storyteller 😂🙌
I miss al that drawing power 😭
Riccardo Saccà #FreePotOfGreed
How do you think Shadowpriestress of Ohm with the new Lair of Darkness stuff would work?
Maybe decent but in general she's not a great card cause 800 isn't good unless you can loop it.
with the new timing ruling she could win you a game in a lair build
Why was this deck called Kaiba control?
Kaiba was all about power and control in a duel. If he could build a deck that incorporated the Ohm burn damage, it wouldn't take him long to bury someone.
yeah I remember this shit
The one deck Yugi would never beat when dueling vs Kaiba.
Link for the thumbnail art?
Wait, "Darker than black" that is an anime
It's still better love story than twilight saga
i dont Think i was born yet
I still think they should ban Shadow Priestess.
That and every other monster that can make degenerate burn FTKs possible. Mass Driver's gone. They should follow suit.
Too bad yubel was terrible
