Hands down the most iconic of all time. Even better that it was for a car which yer maw drove.

@navsikand Tatjana Patitz was a huge Supermodel. She did the vast majority of her work in print, as she avoided the hype. She had countless Vogue covers and was featured in the iconic January 1990 Vogue cover, which George Michael then used the same models for his Freedom 90 video. Really Kate is the odd one out, as along Cindy Crawford those were the original big five.
Well the facts are that it was impossible to get all the first choices, so no Crawford - Schiffer dropped out which was a shame because the ad was to be big in Germany and she was to be replaced by Christiansen or Moss. UK preferred the little known Moss whilst Germany would have preferred Helena. Commercial directed by the great Tarsem and stills by Patrick Demarchelier.

Agree she was pretty huge but not nearly as well known or famous as her peers so people don't know as much about her

I'm surprised you aren't familiar with Tatjana Patitz. She, Estelle Lefebure and Helena Christansen to me where the second tier supers (after The Trinity) back in the day, but they were much quieter in personality. Claudia was a bit later than the original supers, while Cindy was always more commercial and less editorial.
Regardless, it's a great ad. Although as much as I loved her best, Christy's line fell kinda flat. :)
It's a shame Christy never acted she has such a old Hollywood glamour kind of face but then again she'd be too beautiful for movies and not seen as relatable enough

I liked the 5 door version. Roomy for 4 adults and 5 at a pinch, enough bootspace for a weekly shop plus flexible split folding rear seats for those bigger jobs, nice light steering, reasonable performance, and decentish economy with the petrols and frugal zingy Isuzu 1.5 litre / 1.7 litre normally aspirated and turbocharged diesels.
Anyone else notice the riff from "Layla" at the end?

Apart from Tatjana Patitz, I found these particular supermodels to be vain, vapid, and vacuous. (I love alliterations!) I'm more interested in the Corsa, mainly because I'm an American and GM never offered the Corsa here. In fact, the Opel brand disappeared in the USA after 1976, and the few Vauxhalls/Opels that made it here were rebadged as Buicks, Cadillacs and Saturns. I would have loved to check out the Corsa B, because I love small cars to begin with.

I think Julia Roberts was considered for this advert but she was too busy apparently, probably finding another person to marry? 😊
great ad. though always found Tajana's selection odd. I mean there was the likes of much mor eprolific models :Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Karen Mulder, and Helena Christiensen etc, i personally had never heard of Tatjana before this ad campaign
She was on the cover of British Vogue with these same girls and all of them were later chosen to appear in George Michael’s Freedom video. So it’s not an odd selection at all.
She was pretty big in her day but because she wasn't as famous as her peers most people don't know who she is
Good advert, poor car, I had a 1 litre Corsa as a courtesy car once and it had no power and looked cheap and nasty inside. Couldn't wait to get my SEAT Ibiza back, which was a in a different league.
