I learnt my lesson the hard way. Booked connecting flights Bhubaneswar-Singapore to Singapore-Bali. The knowledge I didn't have was if you book under different PNRs you have to pass through immigration and for that Transit Without Visa is not permissible even if your destination allows Visa On Arrival. Singapore ofcourse required Visa for Indians, I skimmed through immigration information, coz earlier I had travelled to Thailand via Singapore but by luck or light I had gotten same flights under same PNR. This I hadn't paid attention to while booking tickets to Bali, my focus was only on the cheap tickets. Well, when you travel in low cost carriers like Indigo, their responsibility is to drop you from A-B. You need to have visa for B if you wish to proceed B-C. They denied us boarding, but suggested we book through KL as its VOA. Thank God we took our intial loses and went home. Same exact thing would have been repeated. Btw this incident was on 16/09/2023
@@vaishs385 depends on country immigration laws... Best thing to do is check with airlines when u book ticket and also book from the airline app itself ( air Asia, scoot etc) so that when booking itself they will show connection flight is protected by career airline....
You need a Malaysia transit pass for transiting in Malaysia for more than 24 hours, if you have to pass through IMMIGRATION to board ANOTHER FLIGHT, RETRIEVE YOUR LUGGAGE, or SWITCH BETWEEN TERMINALS. However, Indian nationals transiting through Malaysia are eligible for a TRANSIT PASS (WITHOUT VISA). This pass allows a stay of up to 120 hours (5 days) on journeys to/from a third country and is exclusively issued at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and Low-Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT). If the flights are booked on the same ticket (same PNR) and you do not exit the airport, then typically, you wouldn't need to go through immigration or require a separate transit pass. Before your journey, it's advisable to check with your airline, especially if you have connecting flights overseas. Some countries you pass through en route to your destination may require a separate transit visa. Please refer to the visa requirements of each specific country.
Can someone tell me if I book the connecting flights with same pnr and have more than 24 hours layover in Malaysia. Will I be able to go out of the Malaysia airport? If so then what do I need?

Even if Malaysia is visa free till 31 December 2024 and we're transiting through it onwards to Bali, do we still require a transit visa or arrival card? (PNRs diff, flights diff and terminals too)

We travelled last year in Sep
I am traveling to Bali through air asia from Bangalore transit at kaulalumpura for 4hours flights are same air asia, same terminal but i have different pnr number should i get transit visa in Malaysia
Not required as Malaysia is visa free for Indians now..
Bro did u travelled ? Is there any issue you got related transit visa requirment please tell me
I am traveling back from bali to kular Lumpur then kular lumpur to jaipur ,diff pnr number different terminal 4hrs lay over ,do i need transit visa.
No
If we Indians have 15 hours layover and flight with same pnr can we leave airport for day trip in malasia and board flight again for that visa required?
In general, You can’t leave the airport without visa. We were not allowed to go another terminal as we didn’t had visa.
But now Malaysia is visa free for Indians, so you can go and explore without visa.
@@life2wander865please reply, as malaysia is visa free for indians right now, does that mean even if we have different airlines, different PNRs we won't need visa.
@@Iamsahaj You don’t need visa
Malaysia is Visa free for Indians.

Hi loved you content what about if we are traveling with kids me my wife and 9 month daughter planning to bali so ....what about kids
Sorry, i didn't understand your question
Is there is any visa charges of babies also
@@INDIATravelwheel7 I am sorry, not aware of that
Malaysia has a free visa but ?
You said u carried usd dollars u took that dollar from India
Yes
Air Asia operates from a whole different airport - KLIA 2, whereas Baltik Air would have landed in KLIA. Two separate PNR means you need to collect your bags and check-in again with your second ariline, which means you need to clear immigration first in the transit country. So, irrespective of the terminal you still would have required a visa. It's unfortunate, but i'm glad you had the funds to fork out. Lessons learnt, ey!
Exactly! Lesson learnt 😊
Hiii....I booked ticket to Bali from make my trip and it is showing two different PNR numbers for flight from India to Malaysia ( Air Asia)and then from mal to Bali (Air Asia x)... Do I need a transit visa in Malaysia...
@@life2wander865pls help
@@aniketgarg196 Hello brother, Yes! As you are required to clear immigration, collect your bags and check-in again.
@@aniketgarg196 Malaysia is visa free for Indians now, so no worries.
Hi I have 3 questions,
1. if we go for E-visa, will they ask for hotel bookings there too ? As I want to decide the trip with the flow (where to spend how much time, although my return ticket will be booked)
2. did you carry 34$ exact or they returned the money?
3. do they have WIFI at the airport?
1. That’s fine if you don’t have hotel bookings for all the places. We also didn’t had and they didn’t ask us about hotel bookings. But you can book for 1 place, so you can show in case if they ask
2. They gave change
3. Yes WiFi is available
