Really enjoyed how you shared this. We did this tour in August 2011. Later in the summer, you get to hike all the way up on to the glacier a mile or so. If you get a chance to go again, go later in the year for an even more “Breathtaking” experience. We are planning on doing this excursion again on our cruise this year. One of those once in a lifetime things that if you do get a chance to go again, you cannot pass it up.
@@fayzet3396 We just did this excursion again last week. It is an excellent experience, if you enjoy getting out in the wild. The guide team was superb. The total distance that we hiked was 5.3 miles out and back with a climb of about 1100 feet. We did not get to climb up on the glacier this time and from the look of it, that is probably not happening at all anymore, as there is just not an easily accessible way to get up on the glacier anymore. It was still a great hike and train ride.
Hi! I am taking the alaskan cruise on the Norwegian bliss on April 15-22. I am trying to find this excursion on the NCL website. Can someone help direct me the right Skagway white pass and Yukon train tour plus hike! thanks. I would love to add this one to my list of to do.

We are really considering this excursion. Is it worth it?

@@cwdefouw thanks for responding back. We love nature and that alone is an experience in such a place like Alaska. We may consider! ☺️
if it possible after your hike you can still take the train finishing the scenic ride up to the summit?
We just booked this cruise for Aug 2024. What time of year were you there?
