I feel the same way also. I bought none of the must have palettes since summer because of the over saturation. I did get the pat macgrath releases including midnight sun though but that’s it!!
To a point, I understand. But on the flip side, divine rose is my first and only palette from Pat, so the repeat shades don't bother me or someone who is new to pat mcgrath. If I do purchase another pmg palette, it wouldn't really bother me honestly.

I’m coming here to see your looks because I just bought it. I purchased both divine rose 1 & 2 from her site for 20% off. What I’m finding about new releases of any kind is that I just wait it out till the newness dies down and can typically get the items for cheaper. I get that sometimes it is limited edition and once it’s gone it’s gone, but I’m willing to take that chance. I’ve never not been able to get what I want eventually. As far as the repeats, I do hate that some shades are repeats but I love the shades and combos so I’ll deal with it.
i personally don’t mind the repeats just because i don’t have any pat palettes. although, if you have one or more, it probably does feel kind of like a ripoff. i went to the meet and greet and they ran out of palettes, so i got a lipgloss but i met pat abd shes so nice. i’m excited for the palette!!

Fortunately I only have Divine Rose 2 that I got for Christmas. I just bought this one on Mercari pretty much brand new for $90 and get it Friday so don't have to worry about repeat shades bc these are the only ones I wanted. I wasn't really into ND or Pat palettes at the time but I remember the craziness when this was released. Love your looks you did though. Been watching tutorials in preparation lol.
@@TaraLynnbeauty I'm so addicted to getting palettes on Mercari. I got the Ace Beaute Nostalgia for $6 and it retails for $38! I also got JS Blood Sugar for $30 and Blood Money for $42! These are my first palettes of his. I also got Juvias Place Tribe palette which is discontinued for $16! Mercari is so much better than Poshmark price wise and product availability wise.
i absolutely love the eye looks you created with this palette! The Ritualistic Rose Blitz Astral Quad is the first eyeshadow purchase I've made from Pat! I really love the quality and color story of that palette, but never have been able to purchase one of her Mothership palettes! However, after seeing this palette, I am inclined to purchase it! I'm now on another waitlist,.as she has sold out of this palette on her website! Sigh!

Awesome fully informative review! Thank you for pointing out repeat shades. I thought I was crazy because I kneewwww some of these I already had. I really wish she would come out with a palette with all new never had before shades for this price range. 2 out of the 4 I already have. Thank you for the comparison reviews at the end! Colourpop is the closest one i would pick but the quality of Pat McGrath still would make me spend those coins. Lol! I had both brands in my collection.
Great review. Beautiful looks! I've never purchased Pat McGrath and was just waiting for the perfect pallette and I thought this was going to be it. I tried to buy it on Selfridges but missed it and then with the issues about where and when it was going to be available, I just decided to forget it. She clearly doesn't need my money. I'm glad you got yours though but $30 for shipping, ugghh!

Great review! I thought the rollout of the palette was a complete cluster. You hit the nail on the head about us waiting to spend that kind of money on the palette. I missed the UK launch and was a bit miffed when she did the NYC giveaway, especially since I was just there the day before! I was finally able to order it on her website. I can’t wait to play around with the palette. I find these last two palettes more every day friendly, which is nice. FYI...She is having a 25-30% sale on her website.

Love the looks you created. I can’t believe how fast my palettes arrived from Selfridges. It was a day ! I never get anything that fast from here. Lol. I was sent two of the divine rose palettes. The first order I made my PayPal denied it because they thought it was fraudulent activity. So I made a second order. I ended up giving one to my friend for Xmas because she doesn’t have any of the 10 pan palettes. But I do love this palette. Great video !!

I could see where a collector or beauty guru would totally get frustrated about repeats. However as a regular person that would like to invest in one or is only able to have one, I think it’s great that she uses standard shadows that she already knows are loved in other palettes. But that’s just me. And I’m on a budget. Of course, if you have enough to buy Pat McGrath, you could probably afford more than one??

But I definitely understand where those who collect these who are collectors wouldn't want to pay that much for shades they already have. The second eye look! Wow!!! I looove it!!! It’s wearable but so beautiful! This palette is beautiful but I’m not a fan of 4 repeat shades being in here and the way the launch was handled. Not a big deal but it was confusing and frustrating. It’s so beautiful through!

Tara Lynn yes, that adds so much pressure for you and other creators! That makes me wonder... maybe you will also lose motivation to pursue these items? Eventually it may not make sense to review items that no one can even purchase anymore🤷🏻♀️.
I watched this review even though this palette is no longer available because I love your reviews and thought maybe I could could get similar looks from shadows I already own. But between this palette, the Sonia G Sky Eye set (signed up for a text alert from Beautylish that I never received), and the Lisa Eldridge launch, it’s just getting a little depressing to watch reviews raving about products that I can no longer purchase. Not the fault of the creators at all, but the hype and then such limited amounts of stock and panic to purchase literally within minutes (during the work day for many of us) gets frustrating. I know I’m preaching to the choir, end rant! I really do love your reviews, thanks for always putting out such great information!

I don’t know if you read my comment from your October favorites video, but I was telling you that Bobbi Brown reformulated her intensive serum foundation and repackaged it also. I really hope you can try it because I’ve been using it every day now for almost a week and I want to throw out all of my other foundations! It lasts all day, it’s super light weight , but has great medium coverage , it has a beautiful golden undertone and skin like. I know you are like me and buy every new foundation under the sun, but I promise you this one is the holy Grail! Have a wonderful day!

I think that depends on your style. Do you like more earthly tones or mauve tones? For me personally, I think I will use the midnight sun more, but I love those earthly tones. But my friend wears pink and mauve tones the most so she'll get more use out of the Divine Rose than the midnight sun. Does that make sense?

Ohh I was so frustrated about the release. I am lucky enough to have my best friend visiting UK and buying it for me but I was the same ‘Begging to take my money’ :(. I like your tutorials. She circled on the screen the rose dusk shade for Lovelace. Love lace is one Pan over but when applying Lovelace she and the rose dusk Pan circled on screen which was confusing

Totally agree with you on this CRAZY LAUNCH 🤪🤪, I did the same thing you did, paid the extra 30🤑 , then turned around to find out Pat was launching on her website *SMH BUT we paid that damn 30 bucks. The eye looks you came up with are gorgeous.

I get the complaint about repeat shades even though this is my first large palette. However....if all the colors really go beautifully together then I would’ve been irritated having to pull separate palettes to get the look I wanted. Worse yet...I’m not good enough to know they would have looked that good together. 🤔

I missed all the releases for it. I'm so depressed. I even entered the giveaway and was hoping and praying I would have been one of the 5 that won. I didnt. I dont own any of her palettes and this particular one just spoke to me and I thought I would get alot of use out of it because of the shades. I'm still waiting to see if it will show up anywhere. I finally pre ordered my tati palette but I'm kinda wishing I would have skipped it since I've watched so many reviews and alot were saying the same thing you did on ur review. I really wish I could find the divine rose one. I wanted a pat McGrath palette that I could actually use everyday for multiple occasions and that's why I haven't bought any of her others. They just look too dark for me. The divine rose looks more like my tones. I'm so depressed about it though. My husband saved some money for me to get it and once I actually had the money I couldn't find it anywhere.

Try Mercari or Poshmark many people are selling it, of course it’s a little pricier. I also was waiting for multiple notification emails and didn’t even receive 1 and I provided two email addresses. I hope you can get your hands on it, nothing like anticipating a palette launch and it selling out!!😤

Divine Rose is a money grab for the holidays. No doubt it’ll end up being added as a permanent palette. These shades look great on you. The palette is beautiful but I could never justify spending the $$ on something I’d hardly use. Not many everyday looks in that palette.
Yes, and yes we should expect more respect, I have bought all her palettes except the mothership lV and 7 I just don’t like that Diva attitude, people are paying for the palette and it’s very expensive and I don’t think that there’s the need for all this

This release was a hot mess! I bought it and got it like in 2 days when it released on her website. Even though I was able to purchase, I’m annoyed when I got an email saying the palette sold out and that you should let Mother know you can’t wait for it to come back (which is really just a link to sign up for PM to notify you when the palette is back in stock). I was like people been telling you everyday on Instagram that they want it. And then that NY giveaway fiasco when everyone thought she was releasing it online.

The pallete sold out here in the US in just a few minutes. In NY there were a lot of people upset because she hyped it up and there were very limited quantities. It’s like she is trying to to a JS and SD pallete release. She should have known this would be popular. It makes me sad because it is expensive. If I am going to buy such an expensive pallete I want to be able to wear all of them. This is just my opinion. It has turned me off of the brand.
Tara, I’ve been waiting for your review!! I received my palette yesterday, and yes, this is my first PM palette. I played with it last night and I was honestly disappointed ☹️ I found two shades to be patchy and a couple that I had to use my finger to get them to show up. I use nice brushes so I don’t think it’s that and I sprayed down my brush like you did on a couple. Idk. Having a hard time justifying the $$ especially since I’ve never spent so much on eyeshadow. I wanted to be blown out of the water! Am I crazy??
No, you're not crazy at all. I actually had similar a experience with my first PM palette. I didn't understand the hype, and I found the mattes to be hard to blend. But, they are SOOO pigmented, they are different than other formulas🤦♀️. What 2 shades did you struggle with the most?
Tara Lynn so I loved Velouria and Sable Bronze. Xtreme mahogany went on patchy and I could hardly get Love Lace and Rose Dusk to show up! Had to use my finger and/or wet down VR Rose Venus and Refined Gold but I’m fine there.

When you watched the tutorials, did they apply the same on me as they are for you? You may have a bad palette (I know that's always quick to say) but I would contact PM or wherever you bought it and tell them you're struggling with the shades, and no one seems to have the same issues. When you spend that kind of money, you need to LOVE that palette. Not work harder to make it work. 😥 I'm sorry sweets. Those shades worked amazingly well for me, so I'm wondering if it is your palette.. Did you get it from PM?

I’m coming here to see your looks because I just bought it. I purchased both divine rose 1 & 2 from her site for 20% off. What I’m finding about new releases of any kind is that I just wait it out till the newness dies down and can typically get the items for cheaper. I get that sometimes it is limited edition and once it’s gone it’s gone, but I’m willing to take that chance. I’ve never not been able to get what I want eventually. As far as the repeats, I do hate that some shades are repeats but I love the shades and combos so I’ll deal with it.

i personally don’t mind the repeats just because i don’t have any pat palettes. although, if you have one or more, it probably does feel kind of like a ripoff. i went to the meet and greet and they ran out of palettes, so i got a lipgloss but i met pat abd shes so nice. i’m excited for the palette!!

Fortunately I only have Divine Rose 2 that I got for Christmas. I just bought this one on Mercari pretty much brand new for $90 and get it Friday so don't have to worry about repeat shades bc these are the only ones I wanted. I wasn't really into ND or Pat palettes at the time but I remember the craziness when this was released. Love your looks you did though. Been watching tutorials in preparation lol.

These are my first palettes of his. I also got Juvias Place Tribe palette which is discontinued for $16! Mercari is so much better than Poshmark price wise and product availability wise.

I really love the quality and color story of that palette, but never have been able to purchase one of her Mothership palettes! However, after seeing this palette, I am inclined to purchase it! I really wish she would come out with a palette with all new never had before shades for this price range. 2 out of the 4 I already have. Thank you for the comparison reviews at the end! Colourpop is the closest one i would pick but the quality of Pat McGrath still would make me spend those coins. Lol! I had both brands in my collection.

I tried to buy it on Selfridges but missed it and then with the issues about where and when it was going to be available, I just decided to forget it. She clearly doesn't need my money. Great review! I thought the rollout of the palette was a complete cluster. You hit the nail on the head about us waiting to spend that kind of money on the palette. I missed the UK launch and was a bit miffed when she did the NYC giveaway, especially since I was just there the day before! I was finally able to order it on her website. I can’t wait to play around with the palette. I find these last two palettes more every day friendly, which is nice.

Love the looks you created. I can’t believe how fast my palettes arrived from Selfridges. It was a day ! I never get anything that fast from here. Lol. I was sent two of the divine rose palettes. The first order I made my PayPal denied it because they thought it was fraudulent activity. So I made a second order. I ended up giving one to my friend for Xmas because she doesn’t have any of the 10 pan palettes. But I do love this palette. Great video !!

I could see where a collector or beauty guru would totally get frustrated about repeats. However as a regular person that would like to invest in one or is only able to have one, I think it’s great that she uses standard shadows that she already knows are loved in other palettes. But that’s just me. And I’m on a budget. Of course, if you have enough to buy Pat McGrath, you could probably afford more than one??

I watched this review even though this palette is no longer available because I love your reviews and thought maybe I could could get similar looks from shadows I already own. But between this palette, the Sonia G Sky Eye set (signed up for a text alert from Beautylish that I never received), and the Lisa Eldridge launch, it’s just getting a little depressing to watch reviews raving about products that I can no longer purchase. Not the fault of the creators at all, but the hype and then such limited amounts of stock and panic to purchase literally within minutes (during the work day for many of us) gets frustrating. I know I’m preaching to the choir, end rant! I really do love your reviews, thanks for always putting out such great information!

I really hope you can try it because I’ve been using it every day now for almost a week and I want to throw out all of my other foundations! It lasts all day, it’s super light weight , but has great medium coverage , it has a beautiful golden undertone and skin like. I know you are like me and buy every new foundation under the sun, but I promise you this one is the holy Grail! Have a wonderful day!

I think that depends on your style. Do you like more earthly tones or mauve tones? For me personally, I think I will use the midnight sun more, but I love those earthly tones. But my friend wears pink and mauve tones the most so she'll get more use out of the Divine Rose than the midnight sun. Does that make sense?

She circled on the screen the rose dusk shade for Lovelace. Love lace is one Pan over but when applying Lovelace she and the rose dusk Pan circled on screen which was confusing

I get the complaint about repeat shades even though this is my first large palette. However....if all the colors really go beautifully together then I would’ve been irritated having to pull separate palettes to get the look I wanted. Worse yet...I’m not good enough to know they would have looked that good together. 🤔

I missed all the releases for it. I'm so depressed. I even entered the giveaway and was hoping and praying I would have been one of the 5 that won. I didnt. I dont own any of her palettes and this particular one just spoke to me and I thought I would get alot of use out of it because of the shades. I'm still waiting to see if it will show up anywhere. I finally pre ordered my tati palette but I'm kinda wishing I would have skipped it since I've watched so many reviews and alot were saying the same thing you did on ur review. I really wish I could find the divine rose one. I wanted a pat McGrath palette that I could actually use everyday for multiple occasions and that's why I haven't bought any of her others. They just look too dark for me. The divine rose looks more like my tones. I'm so depressed about it though. My husband saved some money for me to get it and once I actually had the money I couldn't find it anywhere.

Divine Rose is a money grab for the holidays. No doubt it’ll end up being added as a permanent palette. These shades look great on you. The palette is beautiful but I could never justify spending the $$ on something I’d hardly use. Not many everyday looks in that palette.

This release was a hot mess! I bought it and got it like in 2 days when it released on her website. Even though I was able to purchase, I’m annoyed when I got an email saying the palette sold out and that you should let Mother know you can’t wait for it to come back (which is really just a link to sign up for PM to notify you when the palette is back in stock). I was like people been telling you everyday on Instagram that they want it. And then that NY giveaway fiasco when everyone thought she was releasing it online.
Ya, I agree. The whole thing is UNNECESSARY and hoping they hear people and know we're upset. The funny thing about that email stuff, I actually entered 5 different emails and I was never notified. Not one email was sent the info about the palette being available 🤦♀️🤦♀️ Of course I got one from Selfridges, but if I didn't get it from there, I would have missed out 🤦♀️🤦♀️ SO DUMB🤔🤷♀️
Too much drama around this release. I have enough eyeshadow to have to search around for this and then spend $$$ for it. Nope, not gonna do it. Looks very pretty on you though. Thanks for the review

darling so you see now what it means for us in europe ordering always her paletts in the US, we pay even more, and if i think me living in switzerland, the palett made in italy, its goimg to US and then its coming back ti me in europe and i have to pay for all ths shipment madness

I don’t understand the complaints about repeat shades. No one is being forced to buy it lol and she never hid that they were repeat shades.
The pallete sold out here in the US in just a few minutes. In NY there were a lot of people upset because she hyped it up and there were very limited quantities. It’s like she is trying to to a JS and SD pallete release. She should have known this would be popular. It makes me sad because it is expensive. If I am going to buy such an expensive pallete I want to be able to wear all of them. This is just my opinion. It has turned me off of the brand.
I mean I just wished she would have had close to what they released in palletes.

Tara, I’ve been waiting for your review!! I received my palette yesterday, and yes, this is my first PM palette. I played with it last night and I was honestly disappointed ☹️ I found two shades to be patchy and a couple that I had to use my finger to get them to show up. I use nice brushes so I don’t think it’s that and I sprayed down my brush like you did on a couple. Idk. Having a hard time justifying the $$ especially since I’ve never spent so much on eyeshadow. I wanted to be blown out of the water! Am I crazy??
No, you're not crazy at all. I actually had similar a experience with my first PM palette. I didn't understand the hype, and I found the mattes to be hard to blend. But, they are SOOO pigmented, they are different than other formulas🤦♀️. What 2 shades did you struggle with the most?
Tara Lynn so I loved Velouria and Sable Bronze. Xtreme mahogany went on patchy and I could hardly get Love Lace and Rose Dusk to show up! Had to use my finger and/or wet down VR Rose Venus and Refined Gold but I’m fine there.
@@TheJalebe73 Oh shoot. My xtreme mahogany was amazing. It blended so well. I hope you don't have a bad palette. Rose Dusk and love lace both showed up for me. When you watched the tutorials, did they apply the same on me as they are for you? You may have a bad palette (I know that's always quick to say) but I would contact PM or wherever you bought it and tell them you're struggling with the shades, and no one seems to have the same issues. When you spend that kind of money, you need to LOVE that palette. Not work harder to make it work. 😥 I'm sorry sweets. Those shades worked amazingly well for me, so I'm wondering if it is your palette.. Did you get it from PM?
