I just finished reading You’ve reached Sam and the ending was rlly heartbreaking. I wouldn’t read books on my own record and this took me truthfully more than a month to finish. Either I didn’t have time or I was afraid that it will come to an end. The ending was so well written therefore my eyes got watery :‘) I don’t know but somehow I just really enjoy reading sad novels. I am sure that tonight I won’t be able to sleep properly since I’ll think about the book over and over again. The whole journey was touching and to feel the moment better I would turn on the music playlist I created. I would definitely recommend this book
I just finished TLH and I loved it! It was so cute! I loved all the science references too especially at the end 😭🧪💕 idk if I want to read YRS because it sounds way too sad 😂
It’s definitely a sad book but I’ve definitely read sadder if that helps 😂

I'm soooo cynical of reading The Love Hypothesis because it's based on Reylo fanfiction... and After was enough fanfiction for me 😱🤣
Luckily I’ve literally never seen the Star Wars movies that have Reylo in them so I had no idea who to base them on 😂
I think as long as the writing is good and entertaining, who cares? Now I don't know if this book is good but I’m just saying. Cause why would you not give a good writer a chance just because they got their start from a fanfiction?
@@jagerbaby8628 I think I'm weary of it because I can't imagine the characters as they already have people they're based on so to me it may not be authentic. And there's nothing wrong with a writer doing a good novel through fanfiction, I just mean I haven't had a good experience with those in the past
Rach_elReads Exactly! Since she used the name Adam I couldn’t help but picture Adam Driver and it just made it feel like I was reading the fanfiction rather than a book about new characters.
I loved The Love Hypothesis so much. I couldn't choose between it and The Spanish Love Deception for the Goodreads awards.

I’ve never read The Love Hypothesis (absolutely despise Reylo), but I’m glad it wasn’t too scientific for you LOL when you said that I was like…it’s a Star Wars fanfic, how scientific could it possibly be???
Haha I think the characters are just meant to be similar to Reylo… I think? 😂 I’ve no idea since I’ve never seen the new Star Wars, but from what I’ve seen online it’s apparently fanfic of Reylo 🙊
I read You've Reached Sam in November and it's a good sad book. I just wish the flashbacks were more concrete. The fluid formatting is disorienting to read when you're trying to understand character relationships. If you want a good sad book about grief, read Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman.
Personally I actually loved the flashback moments and it really worked for me, but I can see why it wouldn’t work for everyone and could be disorienting. I’ve been wanting to read more by Akemi Dawn Bowman as it is, but now that you’ve recommended that, it’s very high on my tbr. Thank you 💛

Since I've seen the cover of Love Hypothesis I've been meaning to read it. When it came out I've heard amazing opinions about it, but then I've heard it's a Reylo fanfic annnnnd... my expectations went back to a normal level 😁 still want to read it because it sounds cool, I'll just have to erase the Reylo thing from my mind (The Spanish Love Deception is the first on my romance tbr though, especially after your vlog 💗)
That’s what I had to do, just erase Reylo from my head as much as I could (which was easier for me since I haven’t seen the movies to know who they are, apart from the actor and actress)

I tried reading The Love Hypothesis and wasn't feeling it. But I think it was just the time I was trying to read it, wasn't the right time. So I will definitely be giving it another chance, sometime next year. Probably around spring time. I definitely want to buy You Reached Sam. Probably after Christmas, just in case I might get it from someone. I did read The Spanish Love Deception, and I felt the way you felt about the book. Great reading vlog. I was lucky to get an earc for You've Reached Sam back in March/April and I've been raving about it since then! Sadly I forgot to write my review in my blog (because life) but that is coming up because I think is my favorite book of the year! I lost my ex boyfriend about 6 months ago. It’s been really hard grieving my first love, first relationship, first everything… even though we hadn’t spoken in a few years. I think only you can know how this book will affect you. Consider sampling a chapter and seeing how you feel. Remember to take care of your mental health 💜
Firstly, I am so sorry for your loss, sending lots of light and love your way 💛 Completely agree with what Lydia has said. Only you know if it’s something you could read, I think it could go either way for you. I do think if it’s something you really do want to try read, try the prologue and if it’s too much for you, then I would suggest you not to continue reading. Ultimately it’s up to you but do be kind to yourself and your mental health and emotional well being. 💛💛

I DNFed "The Love Hypothesis" after the line with the diabetes joke in the cafe for their first coffee date. It was a shame bc I was really enjoying the romance and the writing. The joke just really turned me off and perpetuated a stereotype about diabetics that is not true (and that can be harmful to the community).
Thank you for letting me know, I think I must have skimmed over that and not noticed it myself, but thank you for informing me now about it.

I’d say give it a try if you have access to it. The prologue is amazing so if you’re not into it from that then maybe pass on the book 💛
