We just cut and modified my crash bar. (I also had to cut my fog light shrouds a bit too) piping didn’t wanna fit. I have a tr8 with cx racing piping. Love the BAT’s
With my speed 6 ima go with a upgraded top mount this time around had a fmic with my s4 but didn’t like the turbo lag. car wouldn’t pull till 4500 rpms this time hopefully the top mount makes the s4 spool up quicker moving the content tho keep it up
Im still spooling at same rpm but this is a super small intercooler core and im on stock turbo so I guess I wouldn’t notice. But please Let me know if you notice a difference. And thanks will do!!
How much did you pay for that front mount set up? Was it just an eBay or Amazon cheap buy? I seriously want to do this mod on my 06, because after hitting a couple hundred miles ripping on a road trip (I'm in Alaska, so there's a good couple hundred miles between the few "major" citys), the Cobb says my intercooler air temp is a good 40 to 50 degrees warmer than intake air temp just from the engine heat rising upward. Even when it got below 0 degrees this Winter, I still had some well over 130 degrees readings after some rough mobbs.
Very high +. Your Ltfts should be -10 to +10 (could be 5 +/- more and should be fine) and your stfts around the same but those jump around from time to time. Hey bro quick question, my speed 6 has a cst4 turbo, straight pipe catless, with stock top mount intercooler. I recently decided to upgrade to a FMIC, do I need retune for that just to make sure it’s safe?
AkaRevolver ik this is a 4 month old comment but it sounds like you have to upgrade your fuel pump internals. Sounds like the fuel pump can’t keep up with the fuel the car needs. Causes it to kinda bog a little bit
It’s basically black stock replacement that’s all aluminum mounts exactly the same as stock it was my first mod because I broke the plastic one also they can crack and cause boost leeks I opted to keep my tmic stock for now and instead I put a water meth kit on with the smallest nozzle with no tune just to keep intake air temps down and clean the valves and boost octane
Love watching you do these mods. I plan on getting a speed 6 next year

How did you mount the underside of the intercooler? I’m having a tough time piecing the parts together.
It came with 2 small pieces of metal that attach to lower bumper support

If you monitor your LTFT'S AND STFT'S you can tell if you have a boost leak or not
